There is no established religion, as in the case of Great Britain.  At the time of the writing, if you wanted to get ahead, you had to be a member of the Church of England.  Our founders didn’t want it forced on them, so they included the clause.  It’s apparent to me you have NO understanding of the history of the Constitution, or this country.  But don’t feel alone, a lot of people have been brainwashed….just like you!
