Some people are too stupid to live. I’m guessing our “neighbor” is one of them!
Ick and Short person left this morning, after much hard work on Ick’s part. I was sitting here, enjoying the quiet, minding my own business, look up and see……….a bird, crapping on our walkway. Now, normally, this wouldn’t be an issue, birds do it all the time, and it’s just part of nature. HOWEVER, after the infamous Peacock War, I didn’t expect to ever be chasing after THIS again!
Now, after the “neighbor” told us if his birds bothered us, to just shoot them, why on earth would he get another one of those stupid birds?????? Did he forget what he told us? Does he want us to shoot this one too?
Nice tail feathers, but honestly, I’ve got a whole bucket of the things sitting in my garage right now from our previous encounters with those stupid peacocks. I don’t want any more! Not sure what to do with the feathers I’ve got! But I’ll be damned if I’m going to spend all my time chasing after HIS stupid birds and cleaning up after them!
Hmmm….. I wonder if I have the patience, or inclination, to wait till I can gather up a sack load of HIS bird’s crap and present it to him, along with his damn bird’s carcass? Minus the tail feathers, of course!

I really liked this mirror. Now, I’m going to have to find a vanity light to sorta match the rest of the little doodads! Hmmm….
Obviously, we aren’t totally finished, as you can see by the mess still on the counter. We’ve got the doors and trim to deal with, and some detail work that Ick refuses to acknowledge and insists I can do on my own. Not a problem. THAT I can do!
Don’t tell him I said so, but he’s done a heck of a job. Some vacation, eh? LOL Well, since he’s going down to the Gulf tomorrow, to spend time with his side of the family, I guess he can relax down there. At least I sure hope so, cuz he sure hasn’t had time to hardly even catch his breath around here. Well, expect for in the morning….cuz, as we all know….

BREAKING: Pence Amendment Fails, House Votes to Increase Tax Dollars for Planned Parenthood
After unexpectedly passing the House Rules committee late yesterday, an amendment introduced by Rep. Mike Pence to strip Planned Parenthood of its taxpayer funding under Health and Human Services “family planning” (or Title X) funds, has failed.
The House of Representatives rejected the Pence Amendment to defund Planned Parenthood by a vote of 183 to 247.
You can see who believes your taxes dollars should be spent on the murder of babies here. Not a whole lot of surprise in the results. What continues to surprise me is those who ignore the wishes of the majority of Americans who do NOT believe that tax dollars should be spent on the slaughter of the innocent.
The Labor/Health and Human Services appropriations bill contains $317.5 million for the Title X Family Planning program (a $10 million or 3% increase over 2008 levels), which is a major source of funding for Planned Parenthood affiliates. Planned Parenthood is the recipient of approximately 23% of Title X Family Planning funds.
In 2008, Planned Parenthood provided nearly 290,000 abortions, accounting for approximately one in five abortions nationwide. The organization has recently come under fire for failing to report cases of statutory rape and for encouraging teen girls to lie to clinic workers in order to evade parental notification and consent laws.
That’s 290,000 babies who were tossed in the garbage dump. 290,000 children who will have no dreams of growing up to be a ballerina, a fire chief, the discoverer for the cure of childhood diabetes, or even President of the United States.
Way to go scumballs! You’ve proven you have no respect for life, or WE, The People!

Poll: Big Apple has Obama’s back on Gates issue
A snap poll of New Yorkers shows many back President Obama’s comment that Cambridge police “acted stupidly” when they arrested a black Harvard professor last week.
“The results break down along party lines and race lines,” said Jay Leve, CEO of SurveyUSA, who conducted the poll with WABC-TV New York. “Democrats and Republicans see it in opposite ways.”
Pollsters posed questions about Obama’s comment to a largely Democratic group of greater metropolitan New York city residents, and 55 percent of the 502 people questioned felt Obama was right in saying that local police “acted stupidly” in arresting Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.
Why does this not surprise me? To the gimme mentality of Democrats, no matter where they live, Obummer can do no wrong. But when it comes to New York Democrats, I honestly believe they aren’t aware of a REAL world outside their oversized, cramped, ant farm. There is one person behaving like an adult in this whole incident, and it’s ain’t the so called professor, and it ain’t the so calle POTUS!

Cop unions rip President Obama comments
Police nationwide are reeling from President Obama’s televised reprimand of Cambridge cops for “acting stupidly” in the arrest of Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.
“My response is that this department is deeply pained,” said Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas yesterday. “It deeply hurts the pride of this agency.”
Local union officials representing Cambridge Sgt. James Crowley, 42, would not rule out taking their outrage over Obama’s remarks to the picket line next month when the first family lands on Martha’s Vineyard for a vacation.
Oh, that would be most excellent! Heh.
“I think it’s disgraceful,” said Stephen Killion, president of the Cambridge Police Patrol Officers Association. “He labeled the entire police department of Cambridge as stupid and it’s the wrong thing to do.”
Disgraceful is an understatement!
Obama applied the “stupid” label Wednesday during a nationally televised press conference on health care after acknowledging that he did not know all the facts.
The “stupid” people involved are both Gates and Obummer! The fact that the supposed President of the United States would even make such a comment in a public forum says a great deal about his maturity level. His only comment should have been “I don’t know the facts, so I can’t comment on this situation,” and left it at that!
“I have to say I am surprised by the controversy surrounding my statement, because I think it was a pretty straightforward commentary that you probably don’t need to handcuff a guy, a middle-aged man who uses a cane, who’s in his own home,” Obama told ABC’s “Nightline” yesterday.
Once again, he needs to stop bumping his gums. And there should be no surprise. No facts? Zip your lips. When a person, no matter their age, physical condition, or skin tone, acts like a complete ass, the cops have every right to handcuff the moron! So, my advice to Obummer? Apologize to the officer, and shut the hell up!

Americans Getting the “Bum’s Rush” On ObamaCare

I happen to be one of the millions of Americans cursed with a chronic disease, which rendered me “uninsurable.” Believe me, when I tell you, I know the value of having insurance. I also happen to be a former insurance salesman back in my misspent youth. So, my concern over the intricacies of ObamaCare is very real. For instance: I wonder if Obama Care cover diseases like Crohn’s Disease? Oh sure heart disease, diabetes, and such will be covered, but how about the little known, less “sexy” diseases such as the one I mentioned a sentence or two before this one. Will they be covered? And, who will make the decision(s) about what is covered and what is not?
If your Chronic Disease is not covered by ObamaCare… What Then? That is just ONE of the questions nobody has answered, at least to my knowledge, YET, about the President’s new Healthcare Overhaul proposal… and there are so many more! What size bureaucracy are we talking about here – huge, maybe? How about humongous!?
What about medical research and medical innovations? Up to now, the government has participated in medical research and development with taxpayer money as grants, etc, to development labs all over the country. But, one must ask, what happens when the government is insuring everyone and their primary concern has turned to holding the costs of that treatment down? All that R&D money will have dried up as it is sucked from the treasury by the costs of treatment.
Of course, the really BIG fight is just now beginning to elbow its way to the forefront. That’s the fight over whether, or not, ObamaCare will cover the costs of abortion. This fight is bound to get down and dirty, and do so quickly, once the bell rings and the bout begins. Of course, they could always decide NOT TO DECIDE, at least for now, and revisit the issue at a more favorable time in the future, for one side or the other.

One of the biggest frauds to be perpetrated on the American people is this piece of garbage, misnamed “Universal Health Care”. It’s not about health, and it’s not about care. It’s fully about CONTROL! And not YOUR control, it’s THEIR control. Control of your money, control of your business, control of your health, control of your life, right down to the tiny details of whether or not you can have dessert after your romantic dinner.
I’m not real sure when, or where, the idea started that the gubmint knows what’s best for you, and your family. I’m can’t figure out why someone in a different ‘world’ believes he, or she, can make the ‘right’ choices about my life than I can. Do I do stupid stuff? Eat things that aren’t good for me? Oh hell yeah! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t! Ya know what? That’s MY choice! I haven’t handed my life over to anyone but God, and He’s already got it all under control. Well, mostly, when I don’t fight Him. I lead a pefectly happy, normal life, and I don’t need some D.C. know nothing bureaucrat, who wouldn’t know me from a stump on the side of the road, making decisions for me!
I would not ask you to pay for my choices in life, don’t ask me to pay for yours, and that includes irresponsible behavior. You wanna screw around, act like a hooker on the stroll. Fine, that’s your business. Learn to take precautions, or live with the consequences of YOUR actions. Don’t ask me to finance the murder of children! “But what about rape and incest?” It’s called adoption! That’s a life, not a disease, you want to destroy. This isn’t a mass murderer who should be put down like a rabid dog, it’s an innocent life, guilty of nothing!

That looks REALLY yellow, doesn’t it. Crap! EVERYTHING looks yellow in this pic. Gotta be the camera! Luckily, it’s not that yellow in real life! Looks pretty good actually and brightens up the room, even makes it look bigger, believe it or not, but needs a second coat, and then there’s the trim stuff. Oh yippee! Well, that’s going to have to wait till tomorrow. Taping, primer, first coat…..that is ENOUGH for one night, don’t ya think?
I’ve got some hurts in places I had forgotten were even part of my anatomy. Hope I’ll be able to get out of bed in the morning. Oh….wait a minute….it IS morning, isn’t it. Well, how ’bout when the sun is up….about 4 hours!
Sure hope Ick wasn’t serious when he said he’d be up and ready to go at it around 7:30. Insanity doesn’t even begin to cover it!
Update: Mid Hurricane
Well, work is progressing along nicely. I know it doesn’t look like it right now, but believe me, the walls were in bad shape under all that wallpaper, holes, some gaping…odd things.
Yeah, it’s a mess, but I’m thinking it’s gonna be pretty nifty when it’s all said and done. Next step, priming the walls, then the paint, then the trim. Sounds like LOADS of fun, doesn’t it. The Ick has been working his hinder off. Me? I typically just get in the way, but, it’s always good to have a second pair of eyes to point any missed spots, right? Heh.

WESTWEGO, La. — A 3-month-old suburban New Orleans girl whose body was covered with rodent bites bled to death before she was found in her crib, according to an autopsy released Wednesday.
Westwego Police Chief Dwayne Munch said Natalie Hill had severe wounds on her nose and leg along with more than 100 suspected rat bites when her parents found her body last Thursday in her crib, which was stained with bloody rodent footprints.
The cause of death was preliminary and more tests were planned, said Elizabeth Evans, an investigator for the Jefferson Parish coroner’s office.
The chief said the autopsy results “tell us what we had suspected already.”
“We were all hoping that we were wrong. It’s just horrifying to think of the baby being bitten and all this trauma happening while she was alive,” he said.
No charges have been filed, but Munch said police are still investigating.
The child’s parents told police the girl was fine when her mother fed her several hours before her body was discovered. When police arrived at the house, the girl’s father was in the front yard shouting that his baby was dead.
Investigators are awaiting the results of drug and alcohol tests that the parents submitted to last week, the chief said.
“It’s just to make sure we cover all the bases,” Munch said of the tests. “If we find neglect, we’ll pursue charges … It’s too early to tell right now.”
Much had said earlier that the girl’s parents had set traps out for rodents.In Ohio, three people have been accused of letting rats bite a 6-week-old girl and chew off several of her toes at a cluttered mobile home. The girl was reported in fair condition at a Columbus hospital after losing the toes on one foot.
IF we find neglect? Are you effing kidding me??? How in God’s name can there NOT be neglect? Do you think that child just lay there and let a rat bite her over 100 times without screaming bloody murder?? Good grief – she bled to death from rat bites – that doesn’t happen in an instant. Where were her parents?? Where was anyone?

Now back in 1927 an American socialist, Norman Thomas, six times candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket, said the American people would never vote for socialism. But he said under the name of liberalism the American people will adopt every fragment of the socialist program.
One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.

I am more and more disappointed in a large number of American people. I’m not sure when it really started, perhaps in the 60s? More likely, when the Federal Reserve was created, but it’s more obvious since the radicals of the ‘free love’ generation starting taking office in recent years. Seems they never grew up, and have been working to create an America they envisioned during their drug induced stupor. Whatever. We began a major decline at some point, and the effects have been devastating, not only on our freedoms, but for the freedoms of all future generations.
I watched the majority of that “I am wonderful, LOVE me” fest, labeled as a ‘news conference’. There were some quite lively discussions in our living room, after some of the most outrageous of The ONE’s comments. Even the Ick in law, who is not much of a political junkie, was appalled at some of the blatant lies, and the fantasies of B. Hussein.
If he mentioned providing health care for illegals, I missed it during our heated discussions. However, evidently, that’s one of the many provisions of this feckless piece of crap. Just one more reason for our country to be invaded from the southern border? Sure. Why not! After all, it’s not his money that will be supporting these people.
And let’s not forget, the food police will be out in full force:
Americans know Obama is not telling the truth and that fact was crystallized in this exchange from last night’s press conference:
JAKE TAPPER ABC NEWS: You said earlier that you wanted to tell the American people what’s in it for them, how will their family benefit from health-care reform. But experts say that in addition to the benefits that you’re pushing, there is going to have to be some sacrifice in order for there to be true cost-cutting measures, such as Americans giving up tests, referrals, choice, end-of-life care.
When you describe health-care reform, you don’t — understandably, you don’t talk about the sacrifices that Americans might have to make. Do you think — do you accept the premise that other than some tax increases, on the wealthiest Americans, the American people are going to have to give anything up in order for this to happen?
PRESIDENT OBAMA: They’re going to have to give up paying for things that don’t make them healthier. And I — speaking as an American, I think that’s the kind of change you want.
NO, MR Obama….that is NOT the change we want. We don’t want you telling us what’s best for us. If I want that second cookie, that’s MY choice, not yours. You worry about your sorry skinny ass, and I’ll worry about my large one, ok? And considering it’s NOT your money, you don’t have a say in what I spend it on, do you! Although, I’m pretty sure that’s what you are aiming towards. In reality, the only change I want right now, is YOUR change of address!
Narcissistic personality disorder
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they’re superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:
- Believing that you’re better than others
- Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
- Exaggerating your achievements or talents
- Expecting constant praise and admiration
- Believing that you’re special
- Failing to recognize other people’s emotions and feelings
- Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
- Taking advantage of others
- Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
- Being jealous of others
- Believing that others are jealous of you
- Trouble keeping healthy relationships
- Setting unrealistic goals
- Being easily hurt and rejected
- Having a fragile self-esteem
- Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional
Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it’s not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don’t value themselves more than they value others.
Oh, and let’s not forget this little tidbit:
The version of President Obama’s universal health care plan pending in the U.S. House would require “end-of-life” counseling for senior citizens, and the former lieutenant governor for the state of New York is warning people to “protect their parents” from the measure.
I’ll go when the Good Lord takes me, and not a minute sooner!
