Here is what some of our folks in the medical field think of ObamaCare.

    Medical Stimulus Package:

Apparently the American Medical Association has weighed in on the new economic stimulus package….

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.

The Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted.

Pathologists yelled, “Over my dead body!” while the Pediatricians said, ‘Oh, Grow up!’

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it.

Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, “This puts a whole new face on the matter.”

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn’t have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington. :P

@Creeping Sharia: You’re welcome! Y’all have informative posts! The more folks who see ‘em, the better! :D

Thank you for the link. I was amused by your title so I had to come over to see…
This is a great idea! We do a daily newsfeed in our blog, consisting of tips our readers send us, but this is an added dimension.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so I hope you don’t object if I start something similar. I could do mine on Mondays (if my health allows me to keep up). Often I can’t blog because I can’t think, but I can certainly collect interesting posts from hither and yon.
I don’t do enough posts and sometimes I think our blog (accidentally) became too Euro-centric. This would be a good mechanism for paying attention to the important work the American blogosphere is doing. Much better than a long, unwieldy blog roll, which may be necessary but it’s not sufficient.
What surprises me is the amount of animus among Americans toward Europeans. We are all in this mess together. Our particular views of the elephant are limited by our experience,  but none of us has done this perfectly. The Europeans seem to have given up on the hope that Americans will listen, even as their boys die in Afghanistan, too.
I love  your photo. I have some questions to ask about getting a gun and how much arm strength is involved in becoming proficient. I’d appreciate an email contact if you have one. Couldn’t  find it on the site.
Thank you for including my post in your collection. And you’re right: it beat the hell out of doing laundry….
BTW, I haven’t done my post- Gates-gate essay on race in America. It hasn’t quite come together yet. When I finally get it up, I’ll send you a link. Eric Holder contemptuously said that (white) Americans are “cowards” about race. Well, we’re not anymore, thanks to the professional grievance race-baiters like Gates and Sharpton. Obama jumped in with both feet on that tar baby and he hasn’t extricated himself yet…I think he just had to leave a few body parts behind in order to get shut of it (as they say around here)…
If you haven’t seen this one, I recommend it:

@dymphna Saturdays are usually my laundry days, and it does give me time to catch up on reading I don’t normally get to do.  Y’all have some great stuff over there at your place, and am happy ya popped in!

It’s not so much as Americans have aminus towards Europeans, it’s that so many over there tend to treat Americans as ignorant because we don’t want to have some other countries laws forced on us.  We’re seeing our own judges use the excuse “Well, that’s the way they do it in (insert name of European country here).”  We’re an independent minded folks, for the most part.  :D  After spending some time in Europe, I got that treatment first hand.  I hear it’s not so much that way outside of the larger cities?  My favorite of all places I visited was Ireland.  I couldn’t believe the major difference between the people there, and the rest of the places we went.  See?  It’s Europeans who don’t like us, so like all gut reactions, we seem not to like back.  LOL  Does that make any sense?  :D

Oh, and an email is on the way!  :D
