Americans Are Speaking Out
Get use to it Washington!
A revolution is taking place in America. It’s as intangible as the whispering wind. Yet as ineluctable as mounting gale. To the politicians, it’s still but a passing breeze rustling the hair at the nape of the neck. To the grassroots masses, it’s rushing torrent destined to sweep the elite from the Halls of Power.
America is at the very incipience of a Leaderless Revolution. One could see it at the hometown Tea Parties disclaimed by politicians as ragtag assemblies and disdained by Barack Obama who speciously claimed not to have even known they even occurred. One can sense it in the polls, as one after another shows plunging support for this president and his policies.
And one can hear it loud and clear in the angry outpourings at “Town Hall” meetings where sputtering politicians are driven from the podiums and forced to seek shelter behind a phalanx of guards.

Contrary to what those hoo hoo’s in D.C. would like to believe in their distorted little elitest minds, people like me are not being organized. We do not work for the insurance companies, who by the way, are pretty on board with the Obumler’s socialized medicine nonsense. We are not plants from the Republican Party……I’m not even a Republican, and a good chunk I’ve met at the Tea Parties aren’t either. That’s a leftist tactic. No, we are people from all walks of life, with a variety of jobs, education levels, colors and creed. We ARE America!
Coming Soon To Your Neighborhood Health Care?
How I Spent My Afternoon…..
….. or, How To Make More Work For Yourself Thru The Mega OOOPS! Or, better yet…..Whose Bright Idea Was This Anyway?!?! Shaddup Ick!
You might have noticed I’ve been a doing (with a lot of the biggest jobs being done by Ick, and the Mr did the majority of the carpentry….which you’ll see once we get the door up) a bit of ‘remodeling’ the last couple of weeks (started about six months ago).
So, I had this bright idea to paint the recessed part of the doors. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG! I had only intended to do the one part, and through the major oops, said the heck with it, and decided to save myself some aggrevation. Pfft! Not the brightest idea I’ve ever had. But, even though they need another coat, or three, they’re coming out ok. I still have to do some detail around the edges, but that’s for AFTER it dries.
Also, if you decide to do something goofy like this, make sure you put something down to cover the floor. Yeah yeah….I thought I’d be SO careful! ROFLMAO! Sorry hunny….we have a yellow spot on the carpet now.
Naturally, Mr Spot, being…..well….Mr Spot…..
Hmmm… I wonder if I remember how change door knobs? Heh. Then there’s the faucet that doesn’t match… ok ok ok One thing at a time.
Push IS Coming to Shove!
Stopping ObamaCare
by J.D. Longstreet
Just a snippet:
We have roughly 30 days to kill socialized medicine in the United States. The ObamaCare enthusiasts are pulling out all the stops, during the month of August to push whatever their healthcare overhaul FINALLY turns out to be.
You see, even the Obama Administration and the democrats on Capitol Hill have NO IDEA, at this point, exactly what their “healthcare” bill will include and what it will exclude. They have been jumping around all over the healthcare map, like fleas on a hotplate, trying, desperately, to come up with something, anything; the American people will swallow hard and accept. Problem is… the American people simply don’t want what they are selling! But the democrats are frightened, witless, that their new president is about to get his first “slap-down” by the electorate and the democrat/socialists are desperate to prevent that. If ObamaCare can be stopped, it will be a great victory for Americans who want no part of socialized medicine in the United States… plus it would be a tremendous embarrassment for Obama. Even Republican Congressman Jim DeMint, of South Carolina, claims it could be Obama’s Waterloo! Now, that IS embarrassing!
“Fleas on a hotplate”! Jeeeez…..I LOVE that mental image! Heh.
Oh, and since Congress doesn’t have time to actually READ the bill they are trying to shove down our throats, why don’t you read it for them! (.pdf) If the “bill isn’t written”, how can they vote on it?
Oh Cry Me a River
Now this, my friends, epitomizes the entitlement generation.
NEW YORK (WPIX) – She graduated college with hopes of swiftly finding a job in her field – but when the recession hit and jobs became scarce – the 27-year-old ran to court instead of the unemployment office and filed a lawsuit against her alma mater.
Trina Thompson filed a lawsuit last week in Bronx Supreme Court suing Monroe College for $70,000 – the total amount of hard earned cash she shelled out for tuition. Thompson claims she hasn’t been able to find gainful employment since she received her information technology degree in April.
Thompson claims the school’s Office of Career Advancement did not provide her with essential leads and career advice to help her chances of landing a job. She claims she was sent only three emails from the college with little job advice.
“They have not tried hard enough to help me,” Thompson is documented as saying in court papers. “I need a full-time job placement and that’s what they said they were going to help me with and they didn’t.”
Monroe College spokesman Gary Axelbank, says Thompson’s lawsuit is completely without merit. He said the college does its best to help find students jobs out of school but it is not guaranteed.
Seriously? The widdle bitty baby couldn’t find a job, so she’s suing the school?? Wake up sweetheart!! Look around you – there are more qualified people than you out of work. It is NOT the college’s responsibility to get you a job…sure, they may send leads, but it is up to you and ONLY you to secure employment.
Good grief – talk about entitlement! Sounds like this little chicky had everything handed to her on a platter. What about personal responsibility? I’d like to know what efforts SHE made in securing employment, or did she just sit around and wait for the college to do it for her?
Hmmm – I’d like to see what kind of company would EVER hire her now! Talk about a legal liability!
Five Questions on ObamaCare
If you are planning on attending one of the so called Town Hall/listening sessions held by your Congresscritter during the month of August, assuming they haven’t all chickened out, The Foundry has come up with 5 questions you should ask:
1- Can you promise me that I will not lose my current plan and doctor?
2- Can you promise that you and your family will enroll in the public plan?
3- Can you promise that Obamacare will not lead to higher deficits in the long term?
4- Can you promise that government bureaucrats will not ration health care for patients on the public plan?
5- Can you promise me that my tax dollars will not fund abortions?
After reading The Foundry’s post, listening to the news, etc., I’m going to have to say the answer to all these questions would be a whiny “NO”.
Just one of things we’ll have to look forward to under ObamaCare:
Fury after hospital sends heart attack mum home to die
Debra Beavers, 39, phoned NHS 24 twice in two days before getting a hospital appointment. But a doctor gave what her family described as a cursory examination lasting 11 minutes, before advising her to buy over-the-counter medicine Ibuprofen.
Family members claim the medic was abrupt and rude – and when Debra clutched her chest, he told her: “Your heart is on the other side.”
Seven hours later, the mum-of-two collapsed and died from a heart attack in front of her 13-year-old boy.
This is how the UK deals with the sick? When the government signs your paycheck, you don’t have to give a sh*t! The left will tell you “it won’t be like that here!” Yes is it will. Not immediately, but it will get that bad. Canadians have to wait not just hours in the ER, but days. In order to get needed tests, they wait months.
The people in Washington, D.C., actually believe you are ignorant. You are too stupid to make your own decisions, too immature to spend your own money, or give it to charities, as you choose. Stop proving them right!
