Ann on Another Liberal Lie
A Statistical Analysis of Maritime Unemployment Rates, 1946-1948. Just Kidding, More Liberal Lies About National Healthcare!
by Ann Coulter
(17) America’s low ranking on international comparisons of infant mortality proves other countries’ socialist health care systems are better than ours.
America has had a comparatively high infant mortality rate since we’ve been measuring these things, going back to at least the ’20s. This was the case long before European countries adopted their cradle-to-grave welfare schemes and all while the U.S. was the wealthiest country on Earth.
One factor contributing to the U.S.’s infant mortality rate is that blacks have intractably high infant mortality rates — irrespective of age, education, socioeconomic status and so on. No one knows why.

Just askin’. Can we say moron? I knew we could!
Criminy! Where do the Dhimmicrats come up with these people?
These are the same people that call an increase of something by 5% instead of 7%, a ‘cut’. So, by that logic, or lack there of, because the Republicans don’t want this massive tax bill, masquerading as ‘health care reform’, that means they want you to die.

Reform For Tennessee
From the Tennessee Center for Policy Research: (.pdf)
For the past several months, healthcare has been at the forefront of the national political
landscape. Unfortunately, the fact that states play a large role in shaping healthcare reform
has been lost in the debate.
(snip)
1) Give individual Tennesseans control of their healthcare decisions by moving away from employer-based insurance
2) Allow Tennesseans to obtain health insurance from companies in other states.
3) Eliminate unnecessary mandates that require individuals to purchase coverage for certain treatments, especially for young adults.
4) Reform medical licensing laws to encourage greater competition among providers.
5) Permit public employees and TennCare recipients to utilize health savings accounts (HSAs) in lieu of conventional health insurance plans.
Wow. A little common sense. I don’t suppose we could transfer a little of that up towards the swamp, could we? Naw…didn’t think so.

Whose Decision?
High court to look at local gun control laws
The Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to decide whether strict local and state gun control laws violate the Second Amendment, ensuring another high-profile battle over the rights of gun owners.
The court said it will review a lower court ruling that upheld a handgun ban in Chicago. Gun rights supporters challenged gun laws in Chicago and some suburbs immediately following the high court’s decision in June 2008 that struck down a handgun ban in the District of Columbia, a federal enclave.
The new case tests whether last year’s ruling applies as well to local and state laws.

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
Seriously. It’s not that complicated.
Judges on both courts — Republican nominees in Chicago and Democratic nominees in New York — said only the Supreme Court could decide whether to extend last year’s ruling throughout the country. Many, but not all, of the constitutional protections in the Bill of Rights have been applied to cities and states.
I was under the impression that the Constitution, along with the Bill of Rights applied to ALL citizens, no matter what state, or city. Am I mistaken? I’ve always been under the impression it was our God given right to protect ourselves from the evil that permeates the world, and that includes the scum that wanders the streets of our cities. Why do we depend on fallible humans, with an agenda, for laws when common sense should prevail?
