Pelosi Wants to Change ‘Public Option’ to ‘Consumer Option’
A government-sponsored “public option” for health care lives, though it may be more attractive to skeptics if it goes by a different moniker, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday.
That whole lipstick and pig scenario comes to mind.

Contrary to what Queen Nanny would like to believe, we aren’t as stupid as, say….those who VOTE for her.
Rep. Bart Stupak (D.-Mich.) told CNSNews.com that President Barack Obama told him in a telephone conversation that when he said in his Sept. 9 speech to a joint session of Congress that “under our plan no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions” he was not talking about the actual bill drafted in the House but about the president’s own health care plan—which has never been written.
Oh, let’s face facts! Obama is so full of ka-ka, his great grandchildren are still gonna be smellin’ him long after his death. ![]()

The First Step Into A Thousand Years Of Darkness
by J.D. Longstreet
This is a sad time in world history. The “Shining City on a Hill,” so often referred to by Ronald Reagan, has fallen.
The great American Spirit has been broken by a socialist government, which feeds on power and has neither love nor concern for its people. Just power, raw political power, and they’ll do whatever is necessary to maintain their grasp on that power.
Is this the way the greatest nation ever to exist in the history of the planet goes out… on bended knee, with heads bowed, and necks bared to the blade of a government grown fat and ugly on raw power? Is this it?
Or… do we rise up, in righteous anger, and take our government back from those whose thirst for power has taken the USA to the brink of extinction as a nation?

Former Prez Peanut At It Again
‘We cannot have peace without justice’
Former US President Jimmy Carter visited Jeddah on Saturday to share his vision of the future of cross cultural and interfaith relations and peace in the Middle East with an invited audience.
Sami Angawi, who hosted the event, greeted the 39th US president who has devoted his life to building understanding between peoples and offering practical medical help to millions of the poor across the world through the Carter Center.
Isn’t it a shame he has little to no understanding himself?
“Everybody’s talking about peace, but we cannot have peace without justice,” he said in his opening remarks to guests. “But justice cannot be done without mercy and mercy cannot be given without knowledge,” he said.
And when will there be justice for the victims of Carter’s buddies? You know the ones who like to blow up innocent men, women and children.
“The balance is between the constant and the evolving. If only constant, nothing happens and if only evolving, then there will be chaos. Balance is what brings them together. Change will give us diversity and constancy will give us unity,” he said.
He added that diversity exists within unity and unity accommodates diversity and this was what brought us together as mankind.
I do believe ol’ Jimmah has gone off his meds. What the hell is he talking about??
Carter said that his return to Saudi Arabia reminded him that the Kingdom represented the common aspirations of many human beings.
“Peace, cooperation, forgiveness and ability to work together for common goals that are also common to all the major religions,” he said.
Isn’t it unbelievable that Mr Peanut talks about forgiveness to this bunch?
Carter recalled a schoolteacher from his youth whom he quoted at both his inauguration as president and on receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
“He said that we must accommodate changing times but cling to unchanging principles. We must be flexible in modern days recognizing the diversity of the hopes and dreams of all people but I also think that principles never change. Justice, peace, humility, service, forgiveness, compassion and love. So, we have no separation among us.”
I wonder how loud the Saudis, along with every other Muslim country, laughs behind his back?
Carter said that he had faith and confidence in the moral values of President Barack Obama and that he was well aware of the tremendous pressures on him by interest groups in the US.
Offering a glimpse of the way the Carter Center worked at both ends of the peace continuum, he said; “We try to provide an alternative voice to some of those groups. I have free access to President Obama and his advisers and we continue to pursue the goal of the US taking leadership to bring about the dream of peace.”
Oh yeah, I’m sure ol’ Jimmah has a hot line straight to his fellow appeaser in the White House. Until people like Jimmy Carter snap out of their stupor and realize that the ones they are sucking up to are the reason there won’t be any peace in the Middle East, and stand up to the religion of pieces, the odds of any peace being seen are slim to none.
FACT CHECK:
Health insurer profits not so fat
Quick quiz: What do these enterprises have in common? Farm and construction machinery, Tupperware, the railroads, Hershey sweets, Yum food brands and Yahoo? Answer: They’re all more profitable than the health insurance industry.
In the health care debate, Democrats and their allies have gone after insurance companies as rapacious profiteers making “immoral” and “obscene” returns while “the bodies pile up.”
Ledgers tell a different reality. Health insurance profit margins typically run about 6 percent, give or take a point or two. That’s anemic compared with other forms of insurance and a broad array of industries, even some beleaguered ones.
Profits barely exceeded 2 percent of revenues in the latest annual measure. This partly explains why the credit ratings of some of the largest insurers were downgraded to negative from stable heading into this year, as investors were warned of a stagnant if not shrinking market for private plans.
Facts are pesky things. Perhaps that’s why liberals have no use for them?
A Beautiful Sunday
John 1:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Obama Declares H1N1 Flu ‘National Emergency’
President Obama signed a proclamation declaring the H1N1 influenza a national emergency, giving doctors and medical facilities greater leeway in responding to the flu pandemic.
Obama signed the declaration late Friday, which the White House said allows medical treatment facilities to better handle a surge in flu patients by waiving federal requirements on a case-by-case basis.
“The foundation of our national approach to the H1N1 flu has been preparedness at all levels — personal, business, and government — and this proclamation helps that effort by advancing our overall response capability,” the White House said in a statement.
So, what are the ramifications going to be for this executive order? To say I do not trust this clown is an extreme understatement!

Dallas police ticketed 39 drivers in 3 years for not speaking English
Dallas police wrongly ticketed at least 39 drivers for not speaking English over the last three years, Police Chief David Kunkle announced Friday while promising to investigate all officers involved in the cases for dereliction of duty.
Pending cases will be dismissed, and those who paid the $204 fine for the charge, which does not exist in the city, will be reimbursed, Kunkle said.
“I was surprised and stunned that that would happen, particularly in the city of Dallas,” Kunkle said. “In my world, you would never tell someone not to speak Spanish.”
I’m surprised and stunned that the police chief would even say something so stupid! That’s all fine and dandy if he lived in …….. MEXICO! But he doesn’t! He’s the chief of police in Dallas, Texas, USA! We speak English in this country, and it’s high time to make sure anyone living and working here does the same.
The case that led to the discovery of all the others occurred Oct. 2, when Ernestina Mondragon was stopped for making an illegal U-turn in the White Rock area. Rookie Officer Gary Bromley cited Mondragon for three violations: disregarding a traffic control device, failure to present a driver’s license and “non-English speaking driver.”
Let’s see here…. a looped arrow, red circle with slash, means no U-turn in ANY language. Most signs I’ve seen do have the words printed underneath for further clarification. If I remember my Spanish correctly “no” is translated as ‘NO”. Not too difficult. Here’s the kicker:
In that case and perhaps the others, officials said, the officer was confused by a pull-down menu on his in-car computer that listed the charge as an option. But the law the computer referred to is a federal statute regarding commercial drivers that Kunkle said his department does not enforce. (emphasis mine)
So, the officers made a mistake when using this LAW….a federal law no less, but the top cop seems to have decided this doesn’t doesn’t have to be enforced? I beg your pardon? You mean we get to pick and choose which laws are enforced? I did not know this. Very good to know! Cuz there are a few I’m sure all of us can think of that we do not want to follow.
Mondragon, a native Spanish speaker, challenged the charge in court and it was dropped, her daughter said. Dallas police said they will drop all charges against Mondragon, who speaks limited English and does have a Texas driver’s license.
Now, since the law is designed for commercial drivers, I can understand dropping that particular charge, but what about the others? Does this mean the woman didn’t really make an illegal U-turn? Doesn’t appear so. If she has a Texas driver’s license, why didn’t she give it to the officer? Perhaps she didn’t understand the request to present her license?
The citations amount to a small percentage of the roughly 400,000 tickets issued by Dallas police each year. But the total is large enough to have possible legal ramifications, said George A. Martinez, a professor at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
“It sounds like a policy,” Martinez said. “Discrimination on the basis of language ability, and that’s targeting Latinos, and so that sounds pretty serious to me.”
Do I think ‘Latino’ drivers should be ‘targeted’? Oh hell no. If you ask most officers, they’ll tell you they can’t see the color of a person’s skin when making a stop. They seen the infraction, so they make the stop. It’s that simple. (I wonder why I see big pay days in the future for those ticketed under this FEDERAL law?)
Attorney Domingo Garcia said he has been hired to represent the Mondragon family.
“The issue has nothing to do with whether people should learn English or not. I believe they should,” Garcia said. “It’s about not following the law and issuing citations against a law that doesn’t exist, against a fairly voiceless and helpless population.”
No, the officers made a mistake, taking an infraction from the pull down menu, using a law that DOES exist, and applying it to the general public. Those should be dropped, and the fine for that particular infraction dropped….unless, of course, it was a commercial driver. I’m not even going to address that absurd ‘voiceless and helpless’ crap.
Kunkle, who apologized repeatedly, said he recognized the incidents probably would damage the department’s relationship with the Hispanic community.
One apology for the mistake, and leave it at that. If the police are so concerned with their relationship with the Hispanic community, perhaps they should enforce the laws on the books, deport illegals, and help the LEGAL immigrants to learn the language. It’s a matter of safety to learn the language of the country you want to live. If Kunkle wants to apologize to someone, perhaps he should consider apologizing to the citizens of Dallas for allowing a once beautiful city to turn into crime riddled garbage dump.
39 mistakes in 3 years, average 13 a year? I’d say that was a pretty good record for a city of over a million people.
