An Easy Military Decision for Obama: Asks ‘Brave’ Troops to Compete in Green Government Contest
Details of the contest are given on the Whitehouse.gov home page:
“If you’re a Federal employee or one of our brave men and women in uniform, this is your chance to positively impact how your department or agency will meet its 2020 greenhouse gas emissions reduction target,” the announcement launching the program said on Monday. “Get your clean energy ideas ready and go take the GreenGov Challenge!”
The contest is open only to government employees and members of the military, not to federal contractors or the general public. The best ideas will be shared with the committee responsible for carrying out the president’s executive order.
That piece of crap sitting in the Oval Office can’t support our troops in Afghanistan and make a freakin’ decision on whether or not to send in more support troops, but he can sit around thinking up juvenile contests? To say my disgust is growing for that low life scum sucking son of a b*tch is an understatement!

To make matters worse for the public, the Senate will never vote on the Baucus bill. That’s because Sen. Harry Reid is working with Baucus, Sen. Chris Dodd, and Rahm Emmanuel to combine the Baucus bill with the bill that passed the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee a few months ago. The Frankenstein of a bill created will be the one to come to the Senate floor. There Senators will add amendments to it likely making the bill even larger burdening Americans with higher taxes, higher insurance premiums, and Medicare cuts.

Dick Armey to endorse 3rd party candidate over Republican in NY House race
The special election to fill New York’s vacant 23rd congressional seat is perhaps the earliest test of the GOP’s chances to reclaim the House in 2010. Yet the GOP candidate, Dede Scozzafava, has struggled to line up Republican support, and has taken a pummeling from conservative groups that assert she’s liberal. The Club for Growth and Eagle Forum, among others, support her opponent, Doug Hoffman, who’s running on the Conservative Party ticket.
Add North Texas’ Dick Armey to the list of conservative stars backing Hoffman. The former House Majority Leader has confirmed to the Hoffman campaign that he’ll spend Thursday with them, said Rob Ryan, a Hoffman spokesman. “He is with us almost all day Thursday,” Ryan told me. “There will be a bunch of different events.” Armey’s endorsement of Hoffman is personal and wasn’t offered on behalf of FreedomWorks, the conservative foundation he chairs.
Armey’s support is a counterpunch to Scozzafava’s latest endorsement, from former Speaker Newt Gingrich. The move is another example of Armey’s willingness to buck his party when he disapproves of the GOP candidate’s conservative credentials. In Florida, for instance, Armey endorsed former state House Speaker Marco Rubio over Gov. Charlie Crist. The two Republicans are vying to replace former Sen. Mel Martinez, who resigned and became a lobbyist (interestingly, Martinez joined the same law firm, DLA Piper, that Armey quit in August, after complaints about his dual role as a lobbyist and grassroots campaigner.)
I have to tell ya, I lost a lot of respect for Newt a long time ago. To say my chin dropped when I saw that cozy couch commercial he did with Queen Nanny is an understatement. I do agree with a lot of what he states, but his actions tend to negate his words.
Will the establishment of the RNC ever going to get the message? CONSERVATIVES win elections….squishy does NOT. It makes me wonder, will they ever get the message? Or are they ignoring the Tea Party protesters just like the rest of the Swamp?

If President Obama signs a “global warming” treaty at the United Nations’ “Climate Conference” in Copenhagen this December; and if the U.S. Senate ratifies it, will it become part of the supreme Law of the Land?
We hear it said that whenever the President signs, and the Senate ratifies, a Treaty, it becomes part of “the supreme law of the land”. But is that True? Not necessarily! Walk with me, and I will show you how to think through this question, and how to analyze other constitutional questions which come your way.
You must always ask: Is this authorized in the Constitution? Where exactly in the Constitution? And precisely what is authorized by the Constitution? Let us start at the beginning:

It makes no difference what you do or what you say, these days, you can bet that someone will be offended.
Oh, yeah, I know people were offended back in the day. Truly they were, but… there was one major difference. Back in the day, we understood that for an offended person to protest was a sign of weakness on the offended’s part. And frankly, they were too embarrassed to protest because they knew society would see them for what they were, weak.
Things changed. In the mid to late 20th century, and early 21st century, American society began to celebrate weakness in individuals. Whole organizations sprang up to serve the chronically offended. (And while they were doing that…. milk them of all their ready cash, as well!)
How could this have happened? Political Correctness, that’s how. Marxism by another name. As of today in America, the weak, and the minorities, have more power than the strong majority. The tables have turned. Natural law has been turned on its head.

I am constantly offended…..by stupid people. We should, seriously, ban stupid people. Included in that list of stupid people who should be banned? Those who have made a career out of being chronically offended. Hmmm…I guess that would take care of a vast number of liberals, eh?

READY TO REVOLT: Oath Keepers pledges to prevent dictatorship in United States
Group asks police and military to lay down arms in response to orders deemed unlawful
“The whole point of Oath Keepers is to stop a dictatorship from ever happening here,” Rhodes, a former Army paratrooper and Yale-trained lawyer, said in an interview with the Review-Journal. “My focus is on the guys with the guns, because they can’t do it without them.
“We say if the American people decide it’s time for a revolution, we’ll fight with you.”
That type of rhetoric has caught the attention of groups that track extremist activity in the United States.
I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that people who want to preserve the U.S. Constitution would be called ‘extremist’. It’s a sad commentary on today’s society.
In a July report titled “Return of the Militias,” the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center singled out Oath Keepers as “a particularly worrisome example of the Patriot revival.”
Loving your country is a bad thing? I guess so, since there are so many out to destroy her.
The Patriot movement, so named because its adherents believe the federal government has stepped on the constitutional ideals of the American Revolution, gained traction in the 1990s and has been closely linked to anti-government militia and white supremacist movements.
Of all the people I’ve met through the Tea Parties, and Oath Keepers, not one single person has expressed ANY ‘white supremacist’ sentiments. NOT ONE! When it comes to racism, I doubt anyone could top SPLC!
Oath Keepers got some unwanted attention in April when an Oklahoma man loosely connected to the group was arrested for threatening violence at an anti-tax protest in Oklahoma City. Rhodes called the man “a nut” who had no real affiliation with his group.
My cats could say they were associated with Oath Keepers, that doesn’t make it so. REAL OK’s are not promoting any violence.
According to the law center, militia groups are re-emerging in this country partly as a result of racial animosity toward Obama.
Two words: BULL and SHIT! For one thing, the OK is NOT a “militia group”. Second, no one gives a flying flip what color Obama is on the outside. It’s the color of his insides that has people worried. That color would be RED, as in Marxism!
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security reached a similar conclusion in a report earlier this year about the rise of right-wing extremism. The report said the nation’s economic downturn and Obama’s race are “unique drivers for right-wing radicalization and recruitment.”
I repeat, and will continue repeating: External color is NOT an issue. The economic downturn is being increased continuously by policies. Perhaps these people should look into the types who carry around signs promoting the murder of American soldiers, or destroying vehicles, or destroying businesses.
The homeland security report added that “disgruntled military veterans” might be vulnerable to recruitment by right-wing extremist groups.
That warning was enough to make Rhodes feel paranoid.
It should makes us ALL feel paranoid!
“They’re accusing anybody who opposes Obama of being a racist or a potential terrorist,” he said. “What they’re saying is, ‘We’re coming after you.’”
The motto of Oath Keepers: “Not on our watch!”
More people should have the same motto! We should have never gotten to this point in our nation, but now that we are here, I will stand with my fellow freedom loving Americans! On 9/12, I stood with many from around Tennessee and took the same oath the military takes, “…that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…“!
Two things have happened since the Homeland Security Department and Southern Poverty Law Center released their reports on extremism: Membership of Oath Keepers has spiked dramatically. And Rhodes has had to do a lot of explaining.
Only liberal racists (redundant?) would need to have common sense explained to them.
Another prominent Oath Keeper is former Arizona sheriff Richard Mack, who has long been an outspoken government critic.
The Southern Poverty Law Center calls Mack a “longtime militia hero” who helped weaken gun control laws.
Bless his heart! I wish I could have gone to hear Sheriff Mack speak when he was in East Tennessee recently. It’s not guns that need to be controlled. It’s the government, which is totally OUT of control. Of course criminals shouldn’t have guns. DUH! But criminals don’t care about gun laws, so what difference does it make?
Well, you get the idea. It’s a rather lengthy article, but if you want to, go read the whole piece. And while you’re at it, read some of the comments. Honestly, there is really no hope for some people. Clueless is an understatement. The majority of the comments I read were positive, but there are always moonbats in the bunch.
Perhaps this person should have titled his piece “Americans Already Revolted by Revolting Gov’t Policies“.
OATH KEEPERS: ORDERS WE WILL NOT OBEY
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Navajo Nation mourns passing of Code Talker
Willard Varnell Oliver, a member of the Navajo Code Talkers who confounded the Japanese during World War II by transmitting messages in their native language, died Wednesday. He was 88.
Lawrence Oliver said his father died at the Northern Arizona Veterans Administration Health Care System Hospital in Prescott, Ariz. He had been declining health for the past two years.
Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. ordered flags on the Navajo Nation to be flown at half-staff from Oct. 15-19 in honor of Oliver, who is at least the fifth Code Talker to die since May.
Oliver was part of an elite group of Navajo Marines who confused the Japanese during World War II by transmitting messages in Navajo.
The Code Talkers took part in every assault the Marines conducted in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945. Their work was declassified in 1968.
Oliver, who grew up between Shiprock and Farmington, N.M., served in the South Pacific with the 2nd Marine Division from 1943 to 1945. He was wounded during the battle of Saipan of 1944.
Oliver’s brother, Lloyd Oliver, was also a member of the elite group.
His funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in his hometown of Lukachukai.

Zimbabwe’s $100-Trillion Lesson for America
Some wonder whether the stock market’s rebound to over 10,000 is a sign not of economic recovery but of inflation. Is the simultaneous rise in gold prices another symptom of dramatic inflation ahead, sparked by big government blunders?
An article at Smart Money includes Jonathan Hoenig’s warning of government-caused hyperinflation. Rather than pointing to Germany’s Weimar Republic of the 1930’s, he points to Zimbabwe during the last year. That African nation printed a supply of bills valued at $100-trillion apiece—and now worthless already. Hoenig writes:
From May through October of 2008, Zimbabwean stocks skyrocketed, shooting from 72,000 to almost 400,000 by early November. . . . It would appear to be an attractive return of roughly 5,300%.
The only problem is that, while investors had indeed earned more Zimbabwe dollars, the value of those dollars over the same period had nearly evaporated amid the country’s hyperinflation, meaning the “return” was actually a catastrophic loss. One Zimbabwe dollar in May of 2008 had lost 99.99% of its purchasing power by November of that same year. Investors made thousands of percent in stocks and were still wiped out.
Another new article at U.S. News & World Report notes, “Since bottoming out in March, the stock market has soared by about 60 percent, one of the most awesome rallies in market history. . . . While the Dow has been racing upward, however, the unemployment rate has also skyrocketed, from 8.5 percent in March to 9.8 percent now.”
Making sure politicians don’t use the Federal Reserve as a source of “free money” is key to avoiding inflation. It’s an open question whether the Fed can negotiate the credit market crisis without triggering inflation, a task complicated by actions of the current and past White House and Congresses.
As the Wall Street Journal’s Steve Moore told a Heritage Foundation audience this week in St. Paul, Minnesota, “For the last year, everything government has done regarding the economy has been exactly wrong.”
Any efforts to inflate the money supply—such as if the Federal Reserve printed money to supply it to government—could be dangerous steps on a Road to Zimbabwe.
As our nation’s non-leaders bury us deeper and deeper in debt, I see no alternative than to throw them ALL out. They seem to have declared war on the American people. For the life of me, I can’t understand people who claim to love this country, yet want to destroy it (“change”). It would be faster if they’d just the whole US nuclear arsenal on us…..get it over with. The powers that be are either extremely naive, or extremely evil. I’m inclined to think they are just plain evil.
