What I do personally is not the issue. Some jackass in Washington, D.C. has neither the right, nor the duty, to force me to do anything, and that includes stealing my money to provide health care for some criminal who broke into my home. We are directed by Christ to care for the poor. No where in the Bible does it state that I must turn over my wealth (or lack of) to the government to do the job I am directed to do myself....which I do.

Yeah, he stated, back in 1944, when war was waging, the medical advances should be available to all. That, in my mind, does NOT promote nationalized health care. While I believe Churchill was a great man, it does not mean I do not believe he was without human frailties, which we are all subject to.

And personally, if this type of care is acceptable to you, fine, but it is NOT acceptable to us.

Whether or not, when you choose a political side, you put yourself on a team.
We dont have false idols, because we dont worship people like the media does.
No matter what Obama does, the media is there for him. Thats bullshit.
If GB or Ann started saying anything I didnt agree with, Id call them on it as well.
THATS a huge difference between (whatever you want to call yourself) and conservatives.
We AGREE WITH, whereas libs idolize. I understand its hard to tell the difference, especially when youre with the “idolize” bunch.
and actually, libs all use emotions, without thinking things through usually.
Thats why we have tons of social programs like social security (think about the name of it), medicare, medicaid, etc. Theyre all based on the concept of helping people who should be helping themselves, and taking the money from others who actually earned it to do it. Dont give me the crap about how SS is used for elderly and infirmed and the unable. Im all for helping them. Just not everyone else.

I used to be of the liberal mindset myself, so I know alot of this from personal experience. Ive been there. But I also am a person who quests for truth and knowledge, and eventually found out how wrong my family and I were, and how corrupt the media is. If you seek it, you will find the truth as well.

I’m not defending socialism, I think any pure ideology like that would be detrimental. I think it would be unwise not to look at each policy on its own merit and not attempt to evoke the propaganda fuelled fears of those who grew up in the Cold War. This is not what I commented here about though.
I take issue with the way in which I see arguments formed and made here. This Longstreet bozo just posts conspiracy laden garbage that aims to evoke emotions instead of inspire debate. Then you have the likes of Ann Coulter, who probably couldn’t write an article about shoelaces without finding a need to insult ‘liberals’.
Ironically this inability to think without relying on emotions is a trait you seem to think all ‘liberals’ have.
So yeah, I don’t care about your views. Your logic is what annoys me – the inconstencies in your thinking - “we want freedom unless our religion disagrees with it!”, “we don’t want the government to have power over anyone’s health, but the death penalty is okay!” (let’s just hope you never get wrongly found guilty of a murder).
You talk about teams… I don’t WANT a team. Don’t even get me started on “us” and “them”, your real mantra.
All you really stand for is yourselves and it shows in nearly every word you write. You hang on every word of your false idols like Beck and Coulter because they play to your ridiculous fears that your way of life is under threat.
No one has yet bothered to answer my point about Churchill and the NHS. If you even bothered to look into it you might find that I was lying.

Well Mossrom youre entitled to disagree, but you might want to stop and think about how EVERY world leader in history who has believed in freedom, liberty and capitalism has spoken out against socialism and how it can only destroy a republic like the United States. (Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Wahington, Thomas Paine, Churchill, Margarget Thatcher, for starters.)
If you think socialism is good, the only world leaders you have on YOUR side are people like Hitler, Mussolini, Chairman Mau, Karl Marx, Stalin, Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein,etc.
If those were the type of people in my court Id definitely be changing teams, quickly.
But then again Im not a liberal who cant see past his own righteousness.

Mossrom youre a hypocrite. You go off on a rant about something that has nothing to do with whats written here, then accuse OB of it. How about sticking to the topic instead of trying to misdirect things to where you might POSSIBLY have some sort of leg to stand on, which even then is weak and wobbly. The Churchill quote was:
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
How about that? Whats your take on socialism and its effects on America?
THATS what this is about. Not misdirections or YOUR attacking of other people on here.

I personally agree with what this person wrote here, except revolution will never happen. The military balance has tipped too far in the govts favor and Americans are too fat and lazy as a whole.
