Crap Pies

Taxes kill jobs. They don’t create them.

Since taking office, President Obama has proposed massive new taxes on our ailing economy, explains Heritage tax policy analyst J.D. Foster. These taxes may come in many different forms but each of them will eventually affect every American:

Stock Transaction Tax: Yet another Tax Increase

Congress is discussing yet another tax increase. This one would be a tax on stock transactions and could fund a new jobs bill since it has become apparent to everyone that the stimulus failed to create any jobs on net. This was underscored again when the Labor Department reported Friday another 11,000 job loss for November.

The job-destroying stock transactions tax gained traction this week when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she “believe(s) the transaction tax still has a great deal of merit.” Improving business confidence is the great missing ingredient holding back a strong economic recovery. Serially threatening the economy with new taxes and new regulations is no way to improve the confidence of America’s families and businesses of a prosperous future.

The push for the tax began a few weeks ago when the AFL-CIO, in concert with some Congressional leaders, began a new campaign for yet another tax hike to fund Washington’s ongoing explosion of spending. This latest collaboration between Big Labor and Big Government would be a 0.25 percent tax on all stock trades. Given the budding deficit pressures another tax hike proposal is hardly surprising, but, curiously enough, this new tax would target the pensions of the AFL-CIO’s own members.

Now, I don’t know about you, but this constant barrage of increasing taxes is enough to make a normally rational, calm person to completely go off the deep end.  What makes it even worse, is if those morons up there in D.C. would bother to get their collective heads out of  their collective hind ends, perhaps they’d realize that no one is fooled by this irrational stupidity.  Anyone with a half an ounce common sense knows that raising taxes, for any reason, tends to put off employers wanting to increase their work force.  In other words, they ain’t gonna hire!  All the crap pie in the sky schemes are going to do nothing to raise employment.  All that is going to happen is that those pies are going to come crashing down on us, and it’s going to be US who will be covered in their crap!

See, this is the stuff we should focus on, instead of the birth certificate issue. That’s why I wanted Stickee Note’s piece at ADHD. We need to stay focused on the bigger picture: The threat to civilization as we know it.

Oh, I agree, 100%.  There are much bigger issues than where he was born.  I’m just nosy as hell.  Heh.  I wanna see how many Cs and Ds he got in school.  *snicker*

It’s really interesting the reality of taxes.  If you get some time, checkout the story on Japan’s tax rate/economy.  You’ll find info easily on a google search.
I was struck by the similarity between the US and Japan via the road that Obama and the Pelosi crowd is leading us down.  It’s painfully obvious.
It’s also painfully obvious that these people have no ability to learn any lessons from past events.

    But that’s a liberal for you…

Don’t forget the Value Added Tax, or VAT, they want to get through before the election in 2010.

Is there any form of tax these assjacks won’t try to shove down our throats?  We’re all gonna be homeless!  Starving in the streets!  We just can’t take anymore of this absurdity.
