An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Seems the FCC Doesn’t Like Opponents
I received an email this morning that actually disturbs me. After posting several notices about an upcoming ‘field meeting’, it seems that the FCC has decided they really don’t want to hear from “We, The People”.
Apparently, the FCC has gotten word of us coming. They are going to change the focus of the meeting. It will be about how to get more access to minority communities. I do not believe there will be a forum to ask questions. I wanted to let you all know, so you don’t get down there and say, “what is going on?” I just found out last night. I appreciate all you have done, to stand up for our liberties. I do believe this is not the end of the matter. We need to stay vigilant. Again, thanks for all you are doing. If you are planning to go, let me know, and I will meet you there.
Now, if they don’t really want to know, why bother spending tax payer money, going around the country, holding the meetings? It appears to me there is a major waste of time and money going on, but then, we ARE talking about the federal gubmint here, aren’t we.
I’ll be perfectly honest. If they really want to know how to get broadband internet access to minorities, it’s REAL simple. Get the hell out of the way. Allow small businesses to grow, instead of taxing them into oblivion. That way, they can provide jobs. People get jobs, they get an income. With an income, they can pay their rent, buy groceries, and then, gasp…..they can pay for their internet access! Novel concept, eh?
When it comes right down to reality, having the internet is not vital to our well being, is it. We are quite capable of surviving without it. We need food, clothing, and a roof over our heads. These things are accomplished by hard work, and the ability to pay for them.
