New Addition

If there is one thing about my sister, she is a major critter person.  So, what do we find on this trip?  Her newest addition to the zoo is actually quite small, and obviously not your normal “house pet”.  Her name is Sunshine.  Why?  Who the heck knows….this is my sister, after all.

So, without further ado….meet Sunshine!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen….my sister has a ‘pet’ squirrel. Why would anyone have a pet squirrel? It seems a couple of her many dogs brought this tiny, hairless creature to her doorstep, evidently, still quite alive. So, over a period of time, she hand fed this little critter until it started getting fur, and then, it was too late for her to let go. Sunshine is now about 4 months old. Will my sister allow this wild critter return to the wild? Well, it seems this little squirrel has decided she’s mom, so who knows.

Hey, at least the only little critters I bring into the house are cats!

A Good Description

21 December 2009, 10:54 am. 5 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

I came across an interesting letter to the editor this morning in the The Plain Dealer that all anti Americans, aka LIBS/PROGRESSIVES, should read. You might become a bit better informed.

Depiction of “tea party” attendees as solely Republican is off base

Thanks to Ellen Reeves (Nov. 19) for responding to Gayle Crawford’s rant (Nov. 14) when Crawford stated in her letter to the editor that those attending “tea parties” are “barbaric hordes” of Republicans.

Not true, Ms. Crawford. I have had the pleasure of attending some of the “tea parties” and have made a point of circulating through the crowd to talk with other attendees. They are not all Republicans, and for Crawford to assume they are is a great disservice to herself and the good American citizens who do attend.

The people I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking with are from all walks of life and political persuasions, various ethnicities, blue- and white-collar professions and representative of many age groups. I have talked with America-loving Democrats who are fed up with our government and how our country is being ruined by both political parties. I have not seen hatred in their eyes or heard it in their voices. What I have witnessed is a deep concern for our country and a desire to let those in Washington (and in state and local government) know that we have had enough of their political nonsense.

Remember, we are Americans first — not Republicans or Democrats. There actually seems little difference in either party, and in many cases what one party used to represent has now become the other party’s doctrine. Just think how the politicians can continue to enjoy holding on to their offices by supposedly fighting against the other party while not really representing their constituents. It goes on year after year, election after election, and we see it constantly in letters to the editor and newspaper articles where someone from one party is lambasting the other in hopes of persuading voters to think that his guy or his party is much better than the other.

It is time we all accepted that most politicians from both parties no longer represent any of us, but only themselves.

All Americans should be attending “tea parties.”

Thank you, Linda, for such a polite depiction of Tea Party attendees. If you listen to the left, via Olberman, Matthews, et al, you’d have to believe we are nothing but a bunch of right wing loons, hating on a “black” president, practicing some obscure sexual act, when nothing could be further from the REAL truth.

“To The Barricades!”
US Rogue Congress Must Be Thrown Out In 2010.
by J. D. Longstreet

America has now had the opportunity to see what a socialist government can do to America. We have seen the current US government — made up of Socialists, Marxists, Communists, Progressives, and a mere sprinkling of real Democrats — nearly cause the collapse of the greatest nation ever to grace the globe. In a matter of months they brought America to its knees in humiliation before the world. They managed to do what all of America’s enemies have never been able to do. America nearly capitulated.

But, thanks to the old moss-backed conservatives in the hinterlands of the nation continuously shouting the alarm and rallying the apathetic citizenry, Americans found their spine and during the past couple of months they have been rousing their fellow Americans, lovers of freedom, to fight back. The battle was joined and those conservatives who would not bow, who would not surrender the freedom, the liberty, our forefathers fought, bled, and died to preserve for us, have managed to fight the rogue government with a vigor they have not seen in a VERY long time. And we must keep it up!

Much has yet to be done to roll back as much of the government intrusion into our daily lives as we possibly can. Much has yet to be done to repair the damage to the democratic representative republic done by the socialists in Washington. If we are to prevail completely, we have no time to lose. We must begin reconstruction immediately.

The most important election in the history of the United States is coming up in November of 2010. Do not be surprised if the socialist government of the United States makes a massive effort to stop the elections scheduled for November of 2010. There ARE ways to do it and I expect them to try anything they can to remain in power.

It wouldn’t surprise me one little bit if they didn’t try to pull that crap.  Pelosi claims not to be worried about losing seats in the House.  Either she’s not paying attention to what has been going on in the rest of the country, or she’s quite aware, and is working putting something into place that we won’t be allowed to vote them out.  I’d prefer to think she’s oblivious, but after watching the actions of Congress since January 20, 2009, I would put nothing past them now.

……and even if ya weren’t, we have made it, basically in one piece, to Huntsville, TX.  It’s been a very long two days of driving.  How did I use to do this with no problem at all?  Jeeez, old age sucks!

I had my “Saturday Afternoon” links set to post while we were still on the road, but the dadburn thing didn’t post.  Since I didn’t even bother to turn on my computer either last night, or this morning (ok, chris, don’t go into shock), I didn’t find out about it till I noticed the Mr’s computer screen.  I was annoyed, but got it up, so no major.

Anyway, we’ll be spending tomorrow with my sister and her family.  Tuesday, it’s on to irritate the bejabbers outta Ick and Brat.  Oh….what fun we shall have!  Heh!

Freezing Out The Alarmists

Obama’s cold day in Denmark
Washington Times

Copenhagen was a cold town last week for the global-warming crowd. The expected reorganization of the world economy to fit the green template vanished amid blizzard conditions in a country that has had just seven white Christmases in the past century. God certainly has a sense of humor.

President Obama showed up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference having been assured he would be able to make history, only to find that the proceedings were a flop. The promised treaty – billed with the characteristic understatement of the alarmist community as “the single most important piece of paper in the world today” – was an anticlimax. Earlier drafts conjured images of world government, command economies and a future free of the evils of greenhouse gasses. It promised a green utopia.

Pelosi vows to hang onto House in 2010

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that Democrats’ majority in Congress is not in danger going into the 2010 midterm elections.

Pelosi said that while every election cycle is competitive, and acknowledged the particularly large margin by which Democrats control the House, she would work to keep Democrats in control.

“No, we will be a Democratic majority,” Pelosi told MSNBC in an interview when asked whether her majority would be up for grabs in 2010.

“Every year’s competitive,” she said. “So we have a very big majority — I am committed to protecting that majority.”

Perhaps Queen Nanny should remember the words she spoke on 7 November 2006.

most_ethical_congress_in_history

Yeah…THOSE words.  Still hilarious!  Even more so since we’ve seen just how ‘ethical’ that Dhimmi majority has been.

“We had a very challenging work year, and now we’ll market that to the American people,” she said.

Sorry Nanny, we are already onto your ‘marketing’ and we ain’t buying it! As a matter of fact, we’d like to return the product for a FULL refund!

Rahm Emanuel: Don’t Worry About the Left

Turn off MSNBC. Tune out Howard Dean and Keith Olbermann. The White House has its liberal wing in hand on health care, says White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

“There are no liberals left to get” in the Senate, Emanuel said in an interview, shrugging off some noise from the likes of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) that a few liberals might bolt over the compromises made with conservative Democrats.

Wow. Does anyone else find it difficult to stomach the arrogance of this administration? And just what part of NO do these assjacks not get?

“Every time they’ve gotten close to the deal, they’ve passed up the opportunity and chosen to walk away from a particular where they’ve lost the forest for the trees,” Emanuel said.

I’ve been finding it more and more difficult to even post anything news related lately.  When I see this sort of nonsense, on a daily basis, all I can do is shake my head in wonder.

As Mr Ol’ Broad says, in his best Obama voice:  “My Rahm and my staff, they comfort me!”

Why does Sarah Palin Scare the living Daylights out of the Left?
Mainstream Media Nightmare: Sarah Palin
Democrats worry; lose sleep, over Sarah Palin!

by J.D. Longstreet

Have you taken a second look at Sarah Palin lately? Maybe we conservatives should. HEY! I’m just saying…!

I must tell you that anytime a conservative, candidate or not, strikes fear in the hearts of the Socialists, Marxists, Communists, and Progressives in the Congress, the White House, and the leftist Mainstream Media in America, we conservatives are selling ourselves short – if we do not sit up and take notice and, at least, try to determine what, about this particular conservative, is driving “those people” mad.
