“Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever.Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

As I considered President Obama’s words concerning the war in Afghanistan a few days ago, I found myself embarrassed by them. To realize Obama had no intention of ‘winning” a war in Afghanistan, and that the word victory was never used in his entire speech, it became clear to me that Obama was only concerned with “ending” the war in Afghanistan — not winning it.

Now, let’s be clear about something. The United States could/can win a war in Afghanistan. The United States could/can win a war anywhere it chose/chooses.

Just nuke ‘em.

No, I am NOT KIDDING. Had we nuked the Tora Bora region of Afghanistan when we were sure Osama bin Laudin was hiding there, we would have been finished with the never ending search for him and we would have sent a powerful message to our enemies — everywhere — to attack the US is to bring unimaginable death and destruction down on the attackers and their loved ones. The price is not worth it.

The Commander-in-Chief could have ordered it done — and — in my opinion, SHOULD have ordered it done. We had the means and the wherewithal to do it. What we did not have was THE WILL!

Evangelical Lutheran leader suggests Bible not the final authority

The presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is suggesting that the Bible isn’t the last word on homosexuality.

In a town hall meeting Sunday, Bishop Mark Hanson said, “the understanding we have of homosexuality today does not seem to be reflected at all in the context of the biblical writers.” Therefore, he said, Lutherans should consider more modern views on sexual orientation.

At its churchwide convention in August, the ELCA lifted its ban on partnered gay and lesbian clergy, prompting some traditional congregations to withhold funds and begin forming a separate denomination.

For a so called church leader to denounce God’s word is beyond unbelievable. God’s Word IS the final word. I am truly offended that anyone professing to be Christian would deny the Laws set down by the Creator.

Romans 1:26-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

I sincerely pray that members of this Lutheran synod will find new leadership.  Or find a REAL church that follows the teachings of God, through his Word.

Sheep Following The Feckless

So, the big conference started today in Copenhagen.  No matter that there is a rather large scandal concerning emails, fudging numbers, the destruction of economies are not on the agenda.  It doesn’t matter that there is NOT a ‘consensus’ of scientists.  Oh, and let’s not forget the absence of the CHRISTmas trees.  Wouldn’t want to offend anyone, right?

Our illustrious Putz in Chief will attend on the LAST day. Wouldn’t want him to be overshadowed by showing up at the same time as the other world leaders, now would we.

Ya just gotta love this little gem from the EPA:

EPA Prepares to Classify Carbon Dioxide as Dangerous

The EPA is expected Monday to release a strategically timed announcement declaring carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant, a move that would resonate internationally as the world begins talks on a climate change treaty at a U.N. summit in Copenhagen.

The so-called “endangerment finding” would put new pressure on Congress to act on climate change legislation, which has stalled for months behind the health care debate.

Stop breathing. NOW! Well, ok, you can breath in, but for the love of all that’s holy, do NOT exhale!  Breathing produces approximately 2.3 pounds (1 kg) of carbon dioxide per day per person. And whatever you do, boycott Pop Rocks!  Under NO circumstance, should you ever drink champagne, beer, soda, or Perrier!  Hmm…wonder what all those idjits are going to do at their lavish parties while over there freezing their hinders off?  /snark

It doesn’t matter that plants depend on CO2 for survival, and we depend on plants for OUR survival.  But then, we’re just a bunch of stupid sheep, being led down the path to our own destruction.  Imagine mass starvation in our not too distant future.

Perhaps The FCC Doesn’t Really Want Our “Input”?

Back on 3 Dec, I put up a post about the FCC and their game of hide and seek for the ‘field meeting’ that was suppose to be held today, but was changed to the 14th.  As of right now, Monday – 10am, their site STILL has no place and time set for the Memphis meeting.  I’m wondering if the supporters of the new so called ‘fairness doctrine’, which has no interest in fairness at all, know where the meeting is to be held, and at what time?  Perhaps it’s just the public, aka opponents, they don’t want attending?

Sixty-nine-year-old Helen Hutton was injured and trapped in an upside down vehicle Saturday afternoon, but that apparently elicited little sympathy from a Savannah man.

According to Savannah police, Jimmy Milstead, 38 saw the crash as an opportunity.

Milstead allegedly stole a Weed Eater from the wrecked pickup truck driven by Helen’s husband Floyd Hutton Jr., 68 and carried it to his mother’s house just across the road at 145 Bain Road.

This is one real good reason why I prefer my cats!  What kind of person sees an injured elderly woman, and just leaves her in order to steal?  I don’t understand people anymore, and I’m not sure I want to!

Stock Transaction Tax: Yet another Tax Increase

Congress is discussing yet another tax increase. This one would be a tax on stock transactions and could fund a new jobs bill since it has become apparent to everyone that the stimulus failed to create any jobs on net. This was underscored again when the Labor Department reported Friday another 11,000 job loss for November.

The job-destroying stock transactions tax gained traction this week when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she “believe(s) the transaction tax still has a great deal of merit.” Improving business confidence is the great missing ingredient holding back a strong economic recovery. Serially threatening the economy with new taxes and new regulations is no way to improve the confidence of America’s families and businesses of a prosperous future.

The push for the tax began a few weeks ago when the AFL-CIO, in concert with some Congressional leaders, began a new campaign for yet another tax hike to fund Washington’s ongoing explosion of spending. This latest collaboration between Big Labor and Big Government would be a 0.25 percent tax on all stock trades. Given the budding deficit pressures another tax hike proposal is hardly surprising, but, curiously enough, this new tax would target the pensions of the AFL-CIO’s own members.

Now, I don’t know about you, but this constant barrage of increasing taxes is enough to make a normally rational, calm person to completely go off the deep end.  What makes it even worse, is if those morons up there in D.C. would bother to get their collective heads out of  their collective hind ends, perhaps they’d realize that no one is fooled by this irrational stupidity.  Anyone with a half an ounce common sense knows that raising taxes, for any reason, tends to put off employers wanting to increase their work force.  In other words, they ain’t gonna hire!  All the crap pie in the sky schemes are going to do nothing to raise employment.  All that is going to happen is that those pies are going to come crashing down on us, and it’s going to be US who will be covered in their crap!

Pelosi Rejects War Surtax Proposal

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has all but killed a proposal by senior House Democrats to levy a tax on nearly all Americans to pay for the Afghanistan war.

Pelosi, speaking at her weekly press briefing Thursday on Capitol Hill, said she was “not in support” of the war surtax idea – adding that when Obama requests more funding for the war in Afghanistan, then Democrats will decide how to pay for it.

I have NO problem with the Queen rejecting such a reckless idea. I DO have a problem with her stating that the “Democrats will decide how to pay for it”. There are are no others in Congress? There are only Dems? I was under the impression that there were still a few Republicans sitting up there in The Swamp as well. Shouldn’t this be a collaborative decision?

ClimateGate Held Hostage: Day 14

Yet again the Thursday network evening newscasts on NBC, ABC, and CBS failed to cover the ClimateGate scandal. However, ABC World News did manage to devote a two minute story to the release of singer Susan Boyle’s first album.

I think Susan Boyle has an amazing voice.  However, I do NOT believe that is news.  If there was any doubt about the complete loss of credibility of so called “news” presented by the alphabets, this should do it!

In January 2008, the United States economy employed 138.1 million people and the unemployment rate stood at 4.9%. But the powers in Washington thought deficit spending could boost a slowing economy, so Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) passed and President George Bush signed a $168 billion economic stimulus bill made up of temporary tax cuts and increased mortgage grantees for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. By January 2009 that economic stimulus worked so well that the U.S. economy had lost 3.5 million jobs and the unemployment rate stood at 7.6%. Again the powers in Washington thought deficit spending was the answer, so Speaker Nancy Pelosi and newly minted President Barack Obama dialed up $787 billion in temporary tax cuts and permanent spending increases. Ten months later, the U.S. economy has now shed another 3.59 million jobs and the unemployment rate stand at 10%.
