Christmas Day Terror Suspect Pleads Not Guilty
A Nigerian man pleaded not guilty Friday to charges that he tried to blow up a packed U.S. Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab said little during a federal court hearing that lasted less than five minutes. The 23-year-old, who wore a white T-shirt, tennis shoes and light olive pants, said “yes” in English when asked if understood the charges against him.
Authorities say Abdulmutallab was traveling from Amsterdam when he tried to destroy the Northwest Airlines plane carrying nearly 300 people by injecting chemicals into a package of explosives concealed in his underwear. The failed attack caused popping sounds and flames that passengers and crew rushed to extinguish.
A grand jury indicted Abdulmutallab on six charges earlier this week. The most severe carries up to life in prison — the attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
When I heard about this earlier, I was so angry, I was close to spitting nails. “Not guilty”??? Really??? Sorry, I don’t think this piece of al-Qaeda crap should be breathing, much less pleading to ANYTHING. This wasn’t an attempted robbery of the corner C-store, this was a freakin’ ACT OF TERROR! When are those morons in Washington going to get the BIG picture and stop sucking up to the trash? Why isn’t he charged with that? Why isn’t this scum sitting his sorry ass in hell with the rest of his jihadis brothers? Or at least Gitmo! As for that ‘not guilty’?
Of course you’re right. Allowing him to “lawyer up” is reprehensible. Valuable information a terrorist provides is TIME SENSITIVE and not something that may or may not come out in plea bargaining.

No I say we keep him alive, and force him to eat pork and read the christian bible everyday, til the day he dies, and televise it, sending the video feed to the assholes in the taliban and Al queda and tell them thats whats in store for them.
The fact that he can even GET a lawyer, when hes not a US citizen, is so disturbing I cant put words to it.
