An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Jamaica – Day 10

Not a whole lot to report today, and no pictures to post. It was an extremely do nothing but lay in the sun type day!  Not sure why I didn’t think to take a few shots tonight, but I guess we were having a good time.

The Mr ran into a lady from London who had planned to travel here with a friend, but at the last minute, the friend was unable to come due to family issues.  So, this lady, being practical, decided to come on her own.  We had dinner with her this evening, and it was a great time.  The topics of conversation ran from places we’ve traveled to ex husbands to U.S. football and European type (soccer) to almost everything in between.  We did manage to steer away from politics after she asked what we thought about the current resident of the Oval Office.  :)   But I just about fell over when this demure little British lady said, “Oh, bugger me!”

I honestly don’t remember what was said prior, or in what context, but I gotta tell ya, that was probably the hardest I’ve laughed the whole time we’ve been here.

I guess that dry British wit comes through! Although I haven’t been to blighty old England since November of 1975, I have been in port in other parts of the world with members of The Royal Navy and a night on the town with HM’s sailors is a blast!
God Save The Queen. I spent part of my youth in Alberta, Canada and was as such, a subject of Her Majesty at the time.

I wanted to ask her about her job, but since we were eating at the time, I thought it wise not to.  She’s a bona fide CSI!  Perhaps later, I’ll have to ask…when there is no food involved.  LOL
