They Still Don’t Get It!
NO GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE REFORM!

The dunces in the Congress, both houses, apparently still do not get the message the American people have been sending them loudly and clearly over the past few months. Even AFTER the election of the 41st vote against ObamaCare, they insist the American people want healthcare reform.
They are absolutely wrong!
As an American “people,” myself, I can attest to the fact that we want nothing to do with government-run, government controlled, government sponsored, so-called universal healthcare, otherwise known as ObamaCare.
Some leftists organizations who pretend and, in some cases, presume to speak for their membership, and for the American people as a whole, insist to the Congress that we DO want government sponsored and/or government-run healthcare reform. THEY, TOO, ARE WRONG!
What we want is for the government to get the hell out of it and allow the free market to work in the healthcare industry as it does in any and every kind of business in America. At least it USED to before the socialist in the White House, and those in Congress, began to meddle in the business affairs of the country.

Do you wonder why the far left in Congress is dead set on destroying our health care system with over burdening taxes? Do you question their sanity? I do. On a regular basis. You see, it’s not the health care system that needs to be fixed, it’s Congress! They have been meddling in the affairs of business long before The ONE was elected, but it was not so apparent as it is today.
Since a large number of elected officials are lawyers, they’ve figured out a way to circumvent the Constitution by deciding what it “really says” instead of actually reading what it DOES say. If D.C. honestly wanted to solve problems, they’d get the hell outta the way! No one, and nothing, is too big to fail! No one, and nothing, is too small to succeed, if only government would stop interfering!

Saddam’s Notorious Cousin, ‘Chemical Ali,’ Executed
Saddam Hussein’s notorious cousin “Chemical Ali” was executed Monday, Iraq’s government spokesman said.
Hassan al-Majid was convicted Sunday, Jan. 17, of crimes against humanity, receiving a death sentence for his involvement in a poison gas attack on Halabja — one of several hanging over him.
Families of victims in court cheered when the judge handed down the guilty verdict against Ali Hassan al-Majid in a trial for one of the worst poisonous gas attacks against civilians.
He had received three previous death sentences for atrocities committed during Saddam’s rule, particularly in the government’s campaigns against the Shiites and Kurds in the 1980s and 1990s.
Perhaps I’m just a sick, demented, human being, but wouldn’t it be nice if he could have been hung for each death sentence. I know many don’t believe this was a necessary war, but at least it gave the Iraqis the chance to bring justice for the murder of so many of their fellow countrymen.
Jamaica – Day 4
While laying out, doing my daily shake and bake….out of the frying pan, into the fire so to speak, I kept hearing this noise. It took me a few seconds to realize, it sounds like a chicken. Now, there are no chickens wandering around the grounds, so I must have been mistaken, right? Wrong! A few minutes later, there he is…walking along side of the pool. I called the Mr to come look, telling him there was a chicken. Naturally, he looked at me like I had fried just a tad too long, until he saw it too.
What is it with me and stupid birds? Do they seek me out?
That had to be one of the stranger looking chickens I’ve ever seen. Totally bald neck, wearing a beret. Is it a French chicken? After wandering around a bit, it evidently figured out, he (she?) was all by his lonesome, and started up quite a ruckus. Eventually, he (she?) retraced his steps out the other side of the pool area, and hopefully, found his way back home. Stupid bird.
When I came in, I noticed we had a new critter on the bed. Now, there is a little dispute over exactly what it is. Granted, it looks like an elephant, but the ‘trunk’ is too short. At first glance, I thought it was a rabbit. Hey, it was dark in there. Then, I decided, it must be Babar. Or an anteater with very big ears.

……my beloved popped into the world! He didn’t know as he was growing up he’d be saddled with such a one as I. Heh. I wonder if he would have tried to crawl back in if he had had an indication how his life would change?

We have been ranting for some time now on the socialist takeover of the US government. If you are a regular reader of our frequent rants you know that we are convinced that the US is already committed to a socialist form of government replacing what is left of the democratic representative republic our founding fathers gave us with their blood.
A while back, I wrote the following: “There has been a movement underway, in this country, which the Democratic Party adopted, way back in the fifties and sixties, to turn America into a socialist state like unto Europe. They have almost accomplished their goal.
For all intents and purposes, America is no longer a democratic republic. America has already become a socialist state. Those of us old codgers who remember when we were prepared to go to war to fight the spread of socialism cringe when we see how our country, America, has deteriorated into the black hole of socialism. We cringe when we hear today’s politicians, national leaders, as it were, spouting Marxist slogans from the floor of the national legislature. The national nightmare has become the American dream. Now we wait to see socialism suffocate the human spirit in Americans as it has already begun to do.
WHAT THE………???
After returning from dinner, I decided to clean out my email before stretching out like the proverbial stuffed whale, when I came across something that got my head spinning. Have you heard of H.R. 4452? Well, if not, then you might be interested to know that the ‘honorable’ Representative from Washington, D.C. has decided it’s not enough for them to want to take over just about every aspect of our lives through taxes, aka ObamaCare. No, now they want to dictate what you look like, and what size clothes you wear.
To amend the Public Health Service Act to provide for a national program to conduct and support activities toward the goal of significantly reducing the number of cases of overweight and obesity among individuals in the United States.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m more on the chubs side of life than the anorexic. Ok, by a LOT! I come by it honestly, not only through over eating, which I freely admit, but through genetics. When meeting a few of my biological siblings for the first time, I was quite surprised to find them more on the portly side of things as well.
That being said, I’ve also noticed that yes, kids are a bigger than they were when I was a sprout. If you think long and hard, you might be able to figure this one out all on your own. …………………………………….. Figured it out?
If not, I’ll give you just one example of why younger kids are overweight. Political correctness. Yep, you read me right! P.C. is actually killing our kids. When I was young, we were extremely active, not just after school, but during school as well. We had recess in elementary school, twice a day. Naturally, in nice weather, we were outside, playing kick ball (keeping score), dodge ball, getting the snot beat out of us by a big rubber ball if we didn’t move fast enough. We took square dancing lessons, we did regular exercise too, like jumping jacks, squats, and the like. We were active. What do you get these days? “Oh no….they can’t do that….someone might get hurt!” Yeah? So? You’d rather have a bunch of sissies sitting on their fats asses on the couch rather than have them running and playing? We had playground equipment too! See saws, swings, real slides, monkey bars, etc. and not a one of ‘em made out of plastic! We survived. Was there an occasional broken bone, skinned knee, hurt feelings? Oh, damn skippy! So what!?! That’s life!
Now, you’ll excuse me if I don’t have all the empathy the lefties expect me to have. I may be a fat adult, but I was NOT a fat child. Get your kids off the couch, turn off the video games, bring back the REAL playground, and leave the poor kids alone! Stop raising a bunch of pussies! THAT will solve quite a few of the future health problems!
Jamaica – Day 3 Afternoon
I’m no longer the pasty ol’ white woman. I’m now the pasty pinky/beige ol’ woman. Hey…a little at a time, right? I’ve no doubt Chris will be just thrilled to pieces to find out that while snoozing by the pool, I got rained on. I’m thinking this was probably a good thing though.

We haven’t really done much since we got here, but next week, the agenda is filling up.

Battered Spouse?
NY man accused of beheading claims he was battered
The founder of an Islam-oriented television station who is accused of beheading his wife was abused by her for years, according to his lawyer, who said Friday he will pursue a defense combining that justification as well as psychiatric claims.
While I find this extremely difficult to believe, I suppose it’s possible that a devout Muslim would take “years” of verbal abuse. Highly unlikely, but possible. That’s why there is this little thing called divorce. Even Muslims allow for such situations in their law.
“He chopped her head off,” Sedita said. “He chopped her head off. That’s all I have to say about Mr. Hassan’s apparent defense that he was a battered spouse.”
A whole lot more dramatic than just hiring a lawyer and ending the marriage, don’t you think?
Hassan, 45, is charged with one count of second-degree murder in the Feb. 12 death of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan at the offices of Bridges TV, the station the Pakistan-born couple established in 2004 to counter negative stereotypes of Muslims.
First question: Why is this piece of excrement charged with only 2nd degree murder? Why was he not charged with first degree? Seems cutting a person’s head off is about as premeditated as you can get! Second question: Gee, do ya think his little radio station succeeded in dispelling the “negative stereotypes of Muslims”?
“The spouse was the dominant figure in this relationship,” attorney Frank Bogulski said outside the courtroom. “He was the victim. She was verbally abusive. She had humiliated him.”
Any rational person would walk away from such a situation, but then, we aren’t talking about a rational culture here, are we.
Hassan was served with divorce papers a week before his wife’s decapitated body was found at the offices of their television station in Orchard Park, the Buffalo suburb where the couple also lived with their two small children and Muzzammil’s two teenagers from a previous marriage.
Perhaps that’s the ‘abuse’ the lawyer is referring to? Divorce papers? Heaven forbid a woman should decide she has had enough of the subservient role in a relationship. I am of the mind that so many of the so called “honor killings” are nothing more than a male’s proof of his short comings as a man. Not in the sexual sense, mind you. There is much more to being a man the bedroom prowess. These murderous slime must have a great many insecurities, no sense of self worth, and missing a soul.
Jamaica – Day 2
Ever wonder why you wake up early to relax? Yeah…me too. Not sure what got my clock wound this morning, but I was up LONG before I really wanted to, so thought I’d take full advantage of the quiet, sip my coffee, and peruse the news, and a variety of blogs. Did you know it’s not all that quiet? Carts rattling down the path, workers cleaning up palm fronds, etc. Oh well.
The Mr and I set off for breakfast, and not being a morning person, nor hungry before noon, nothing was really appealing, but since it would be a while before I’d be able to numb the upcoming grumble, I thought I better nibble on something, then off to the spa. Nothing like having the tootsies messaged, and stuffed in hot wax to get you going. Two hours later, all 20 nails are primped and polished. Ok, it’s a girly thing, but hey….I AM a girl y’know.
We took it easy this afternoon before setting off to the ‘beach party’. All kinds of food, as usual, and then the entertainment. There was a young lady singing who was extremely talented. Why is she working in a resort? Personal opinion, if they had a Jamaican version of American Idol (no, I don’t watch it), she’d win, hands down.
Next up, a young fella that evidently enjoys playing with fire. It didn’t occur to me I had a camera with me until he was fairly far away to get a good shot. He was quite entertaining, to say the least. Although, I’m thinking there must be some issues, cuz the guy would stick this fire stick down his drawers. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why any sane person would do such a thing, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
Next up, the reggae dance contest. Not exactly a normal type dance contest, you know, where people actually get out on a dance floor. No, these people volunteered to get up on the stage to strut their stuff. The women were up first. Now, unless you were there, words are insufficient. It was apparent that these ladies were at least 2 sheets to the wind. But that’s ok, they had the guts to get up there, so ya gotta give ‘em credit.
Now, when I tell you the women did a WHOLE lot better than the males, believe me! That had to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a VERY long time! Let’s face it, white men have no rhythm…..mostly. When the entertainment directors, or whatever ya call ‘em were demonstrating, it was quite obvious that the fellas would be put to shame. LOL
O……M…….G…………… If I ever find a YouTube of that, I will most definitely post it!

The guy that won? Little fella, obviously Oriental, who when he spoke, had a very strong accent….”I from Chicago!” I now must find the brain bleach!
Oh, and yes, Paula, I DID try the dirty banana daiquiri. BRAIN FREEZE!

“Legal” Harassment of Women
Pak NA passes bill against sexual harassment of women at workplace
Islamabad, Jan.21 (ANI): The Pakistan National Assembly has passed a bill to amend the existing law against sexual harassment of women at workplace.
The new amendment bill, which was moved in the Lower House by Law Minister Babar Awan, seeks to insert a new offence in the Pakistan Penal Code to provide for punishment over sexual harassment at workplaces.
The amendment, which has now been sent to the Upper House for approval, also seeks to make the offence punishable with imprisonment extending upto three years or a fine of up to 500,000 rupees, or both.
The amendment was supported by all political parties in the house apart from religious parties, The Daily Times reported.
JUI Senators Mohammad Khan Shirani, Ghafoor Haideri, Gul Naseeb Khan along with members of the Jamaat-e Islam (JI) objected to the bill, saying that it was a violation of the fundamental norms of Islam and the constitution.
They said that such a law would promote “vulgarity among women”, and proposed sending the bill to the Council of Islamic Ideology for further review. (ANI)
So, let me get this straight….some hardcore Muslims are objecting to treating women as real people because it’s a ‘violation of the fundamental norms of Islam’ to harass them? They are supposed to be treated as sluts, harassed at every turn because Islam says so? And the Pak constitution? Well, what does that say about Islam? Seems to me it speaks volumes, so where are the feminazis on this one, hmmmm??? Oh, that’s right, they don’t really give a flying flip about women at all, especially those extremely oppressed women in Muslim countries.

Have you noticed that the US has a Congress with a death wish? Oh, yes! We have a Congress made up of socialist and communists who are set on suicide.
You may ask, “How can you say such a thing, Longstreet?”
Well, actually, it is stating the obvious — obvious to everyone, it seems, but the “so-called democrats” in the White House and the Congress.
ObamaCare is a death sentence to the democratic majority in the Congress and will certainly relegate Obama, himself, to the long list of one term democratic presidents. To pass the bill is suicide for the democrats and they are hell bent on doing just that! Their work continues in the shadows of locked rooms as they devise alternate plans to get that bill to the President’s desk for his signature.
