Yesterday afternoon, President Obama announced that he made a significant discovery: “We are at war.” Glad he finally noticed.
When Mr. Obama unilaterally ended the war on terrorism earlier this year, al Qaeda didn’t get the memo. The enemy is on the offensive, seizing the initiative from what they see as a weak and timid leader. Now Mr. Obama wants to take the ball back. On Tuesday, he said that “swift action is critical to staying one step ahead of a nimble adversary,” but the fact that the White House had to twice reschedule the president’s terrorism speech only reinforces the idea that this is a gang that cannot shoot straight.
Sheriff Joe
Sheriff Joe Arpaio investigated by grand jury, officials confirm
Two Maricopa County executives said Thursday they will appear before a federal grand jury next week to testify about allegations that Sheriff Joe Arpaio and others in his office have abused their power.
County Manager David Smith and Deputy County Manager Sandi Wilson said they met with representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s Office on Wednesday to prepare for the grand jury.
Arpaio denied knowledge of the grand jury. “I’m not commenting about the grand jury or what’s occurring,” he said. “If people are saying it, let them say it. We’re going to continue doing our job.”
At least SOMEONE takes the job of protecting citizens seriously! It’s a shame some people see doing the job they were elected to do as ‘abuse’.
“I’m certainly gratified that the system is starting to work, where this kind of abuse of power is looked into by a competent authority,” Smith said. “A lot of people have suffered; now I think that from the U.S. attorney, with respect to Sheriff Arpaio, justice will be served.”
This man scares the crap out of the weasels. IF, and that’s a HUGE if, the sheriff’s department did do anything illegal, then yes, there should be an investigation. The problem is, Sheriff Joe tends to take his oath of office very seriously, and for the libtard mindset, that’s a big no no. When a department has to make cuts, then watches the county put up some overpriced building, I’d be questioning the motivation too.

They Just Can’t Help Themselves
Well, they could, they just won’t. I’m fairly sure that most people with 2 brain cells to rub together has figured out by now that the lame stream alphabets, ABC, NBC, and CBS, are no longer news organizations, but schills for the ONE’s administration. If you want real news, you’ll have to look elsewhere. True journalists are a dying breed, and unfortunately, there don’t seem to be too many to take their place. The evening “news” is no longer news, it’s gushing opinion.
ABC’s Sawyer Hails Obama: ‘Buck Stops Here’ an ‘Echo of Another Young President’
Two quick items from Thursday’s World News. ABC anchor Diane Sawyer heard “an echo of another young President in another time” in President Obama’s “the buck stops here” taking of responsibility for the failed Christmas Day terrorist plot as George Stephanopoulos explained her reference: “John Kennedy after the Bay of Pigs….The President took responsibility, his popularity shot up. The White House is calculating with the President taking personal responsibility, they can put this behind them.”
Yes, Kennedy took responsibility for the Bay of Pigs. He also cut taxes, and set some goals that wouldn’t destroy the country. When I look back, I see a Democrat they way they use to be……gasp…..conservative! Oh, and in case Mzzzzzzzzzz Sawyer wasn’t aware, it was Harry Truman who said “The buck stops here.” Most grownups do take responsibility for their actions. Since he’s not a grownup, the only ‘shock’ I heard from Obama in his teleprompter reading was him taking responsibility…..for a change!
Minutes later, after a report on cold weather, Sawyer considered it evidence of “climate change.” She asked Sam Champion, a global warming devotee: “We’ve all been unnerved about talk about climate change. Is this one of those strange events that signals to you, even you, this is something brand new?” From Chicago, Champion, citing the “cold snap” in North America, Asia and Northern Europe, concurred “it certainly is a question that needs to be looked into.”
“Climate change”? Yeah….it’s called winter ya dumb broad! It happens all the time! Some winters are more cold than others. Some summers are hotter than others. It’s a fact, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it! Honestly, I wish these people would get a freakin’ clue! We do NOT control the weather! We never have. We never will!

The Inevitable War With Iran

A war with Iran is “a given.” It is as some say: “a “fait accompli.” Just exactly who the combatant nations will be remains to be seen, however. My crystal ball is a bit cloudy in that area of prophecy.
We are fairly sure Israel will be one of the combatants and even though the US protests that it does not want a fight with Iran, I don’t see how it can be avoided. Even if the current US Presidential Administration will not assist Israel in a war with Iran the Obama Regime WILL assist Saudi Arabia!
We never seem to learn, here in the “good ole USA.” We still insist on getting more people killed on both sides of a conflict than is necessary to settle the dispute. That is especially true when we have the misfortune to have a liberal/socialist/communist/progressive in the White House and those with the same political philosophy control the national legislature.

Use of word Negro on 2010 census forms raises memories of Jim Crow
The census form for 2010 features a word more often heard in 1966: Negro.
For many New York blacks, the word conjures visions of Jim Crow and segregation – even if the Census Bureau says it’s included to ensure an accurate count of the nation’s minority residents.
“It’s a bad vibe word,” said Kevin Bishop, 45, a Brooklyn salesman. “It doesn’t agree with me, doesn’t agree with my heart.”
Pamela Reese Smith, visiting the city yesterday from Rochester, said the term was outdated.
“I don’t think my ancestors would appreciate it in 2010,” said Smith, 56. “I don’t want my grandchildren being called Negroes.”
Here’s a REAL serious question: When are the ‘powers that be’ going to STOP dividing us? When are we going to stop letting them divide us?? The question should be – “Are you a legal resident of the United States?“, not what color is your skin.
BTW, I’m not ‘white’ either! I’m kind of a pinkish/beige. I don’t see that listed up there. Nor is there ‘redneck’, ‘cracker’, or even ‘Caucasian’. A large chunk of my ancestry were here waiting when the first colonists stepped off the boats. The others came later, from Ireland and France. Is there a category for all that? Am I a ‘hyphen’? NO! I’m an American, just like those legal folks of a variety of skin tones. Now, as far as I’m concerned the whole shebang needs to be dropped, from applications of any sort and all future census.

This past weekend the American public learned that not only was the Obama administration briefed about the bombing technique attempted on Flight 253, not only did the United States have information that a Nigerian was being prepared for a terrorist attack by al Qaeda in Yemen, but our government also knew that an “Umar Farouk” was involved.
Following these revelations, the Obama administration again took to the Sunday shows to defend their national security record. Last week Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano tried to convince Americans that “the system worked”. She failed. This Sunday, Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan did admit that the system failed on Christmas Day but still insisted: “Every other day the system has worked this year….The system is working.”

Man threatening Jews taken off flight
An airline passenger in Miami proclaimed “I want to kill all the Jews” before police forced him off a Detroit-bound plane, authorities said Thursday.

Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43, of Ohio, was arrested Wednesday night, according to a police department statement. Asad was charged with threats against a public servant, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence.
Sounds like he threatened more than just a ‘public servant’.
FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela said there were no indications the disturbance was related to terrorism. The bureau was initially brought in to look into the incident but is no longer involved in the investigation. She said the FBI is treating the disruption as a matter for local authorities.
Well, yes, treat threats against an entire people as a local crime. If a Jew had stood up and shouted, “I want to kill all the Muslims”, that would be a whole ‘nuther ball of wax, wouldn’t it.
The disturbance forced a taxiing Northwest Airlines flight to turn around at Miami International Airport, according to a news release. Witnesses told investigators who boarded the plane that Asad was loud, disruptive and claimed to be Palestinian.

Officers didn’t find any weapons or explosives on Asad, who was reportedly agitated and aggressive at times, according to an arrest affidavit. Authorities used a stun gun to subdue Asad on the jet bridge after he charged at an officer with fists clenched. He also chanted in a foreign language and threatened officers during a search.
Gee. Wonder what that ‘foreign language’ could have been? Hmmm….
“I’m not afraid of you cops, I’ve gotten in fights with cops in Ohio and broke their arms in three places,” he said, according to the affidavit. “I’ve broken skulls too!”
The affidavit noted that alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor during the incident.
Some folks don’t need alcohol to make them nuts! It’s bred into them and it just comes naturally.
The Transportation Security Administration says three of Asad’s companions were also taken off the plane and questioned. The plane departed after a search.
Were they let back on the plane? Or did they have to find another means of transportation to Detroit? Seems to me that the fruitcakes don’t need to blow up planes anymore. They can just cause a ruckus, get charged with some piddly thing, and disrupt the U.S. transportation system quite well. How many planes were delayed? I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if these sorts of “incidents” started happening on a regular basis.

With all the babies being conceived at the front lines in the two wars in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Iraq, another of the socialist government’s social experiments has failed.
Let me see how plain I can make this: Even a complete fool, a blathering idiot, an imbecile, a Moran, knows — without a shadow of a doubt — that if you put young men and young women together in an environment where hormones surge continuously they will find each other and they will copulate. It is Mother Nature’s way of insuring the survival of the species.
Everybody KNOWS this instinctively. Except, it would seem, for the feminists among us who deny the existence of natural law. Call it what you will — when you deny that young men and young women will not find a way to engage in sex ANYWHERE, including the battlefield, then you are denying the existence of such a thing as natural law.
OK. Just so the record is clear. I do not believe there is a role for women in combat, anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances. PERIOD! Women are the sacred “givers of life.” Without women the human species would die out — and quickly. Women should be protected, at all costs, even at the cost of the male’s life.
Nature (God, if you please.) created the male and the female differently with different characteristics. The male was made larger, muscular, and more aggressive. The female was made smaller but with the ability to hold within her body a new life which, when fully developed, would emerge as a brand new human being. The female would perpetuate life, she would insure that the human species would survive on this garden planet which was given us as our home.

In case you aren’t aware, I am a female. Yes, the good Lord made me completely different from the male of our species, with a completely different role in life. There are male ‘jobs’, and there are female ‘jobs’. One male job is to take care of the trash. The female’s job is to make sure there is trash in there to take out. Simplistic? Yes, but it makes a point. Vive la différence!
When it comes to women in the military, I have had a major problem with them being on the front lines. Call me old fashioned, but I do not believe that it is in the woman’s best interest, nor the military in general, for them to be shot. As J.D. says, if there were no women, there would be no men. Period. End of discussion.
In my personal opinion, the so called ‘women’s movement’ of the 60s and 70s, the feminists of the 80s and the feminazis of the 90s and 00s have done more damage to the relationship between men and women, than anything in my knowledge of history. I admire the suffragettes of the late 1800s and early 1900s. They had a purpose, stuck to it, and women were granted the right to vote. What we have now is a bunch of females, making demands that are totally unrealistic. We are not men. We should not be treated like men. We should be treated with respect and deference. These females have pussified the males, and I don’t like it!
There is a LONG list of unintended consequences which we see in every day life, from the home to the federal government. Should women be allowed to hold positions of power? Well, sure, IF they are qualified. Today we have women in roles that are there solely because they are female. Why? Because it’s the politically correct thing to do. Doesn’t matter if they cause more harm than good, they’re women, and they MUST be given the opportunity to screw things up. Pfft!
Back to the issue. As J.D. states his case, women should NOT be on the front lines! Nature has a funny way of taking over, and if the military does not want women getting pregnant on the front lines, then women should not be on the front lines. How difficult is that to understand?

On a Fox News panel discussing Tiger Woods, Brit Hume said, perfectly accurately:
“The extent to which he can recover, it seems to me, depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don’t think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So, my message to Tiger would be, ‘Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.”
Hume’s words, being 100 percent factually correct, sent liberals into a tizzy of sputtering rage, once again illustrating liberals’ copious ignorance of Christianity. (Also illustrating the words of the Bible: “How is it you do not understand me when I speak? It is because you cannot bear to listen to my words.” John 8:43.)
