Has Senator Corker Forgotten?

3 March 2010, 10:07 pm. 12 Comments. Filed under Economy, Feckless Weasels, Tennessee.

It might do the folks in D.C. a whole lot of good if they would remember who are their bosses. Perhaps I should clue them in? Ok, here goes….. Representatives work for their respective districts. Senators work for their states. If that is too complicated for some of them to grasp, perhaps this will help? Example: Marsha Blackburn by the citizens of Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District. See? Wasn’t that easy? So, when I say that Bob Corker was hired by the people in the state of Tennessee to reflect their best interest, I don’t think I’m being out of line, am I?

The Bob Corker Bailout Sellout

While the media and most of the public are consumed by the health care death march, the Senate is deep in negotiations to pass a sweeping re-regulation of the financial sector. As the public knows, ObamaCare is an attempt to regulate 1/6th of the US economy. The financial ‘reform’ proposal, though, will impact the other 5/6ths of the economy. In many respects, the financial services ‘reform’ is much more damaging to the economy and our future competitiveness. Worse, its passage is being aided by Bob Corker.

Uh….

Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with his complete capitulation and total surrender on the Financial Services bill. The bill, passed by the House with a $4 trillion bailout provision, making bailouts the permanent policy of the United States government, was on it’s last legs until Corker came to the rescue. Now the Washington Post and other are reporting that Corker and ethically-challenged, retiring Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) are on the verge of a deal to breathe life back into the regulatory and bailout scheme.

Has Corker just signed his own defeat, IF he is allowed to run for re-election? Why would a Senator, who, I thought was the more ‘conservative’ of our two, basically conspire with the likes of Chris Dodd, to shove even more bailout BS down our throats?

See the rest at Big Government.com.  I’m more than just a tad disgusted.

Subprime Mortgage Crisis Hits Whorehouses
by Ann Coulter

It looks like Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes is on track to win another endorsement from ACORN!

This week, Hynes announced that “no criminality has been found” after his investigation of the videotapes made by investigative journalists James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, which show ACORN employees counseling the pair on getting a mortgage for a house of prostitution.

(They got a choice of government loans: Phat Fannie Mae, Prince Freddie Mac or Barney Fresh Daddy Frank … aka “Sir Fix-A-Lot.”)

I’m just glad to know that Hynes conducted a thorough “investigation” first. Who did he have screen the videotapes, Gov. Paterson?

Gorebal Whining Even Bigger Winner

Global warming’s biggest winners

The greatest scandal connected to global warming is not exaggeration, fraud or destruction of data to conceal the weakness of the argument. It is those who are personally profiting from promoting this fantasy at the expense of the rest of us.

The fraud is pretty big stuff, and should be addressed, HONESTLY! In my personal opinion, those who are getting rich off this farce are WORSE than any pimp that ever hit the streets with a ‘stable’ of what amounts to sex slaves.

Al Gore is the most visible beneficiary. The world’s greatest climate-change fear-monger has amassed millions in book sales and speaking fees. His science-fiction movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” won an Academy Award for best documentary and 21 other film awards. He was co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his “efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.”

And, there he is….the BIGGEST pimp in the whole “global warming” scam! If the man had ANY honor….any integrity whatsoever, he’d not only return the Oscar (along with any other movie *choke* “award” he was given), and the Nobel Peace Price. He should be bowing and scraping in apology to the public, in general, and to those he duped out of money, specifically.

Meanwhile, Mr. Gore was laying his own foundations. As he was whipping up hysteria over climate change, he cannily invested in “green” firms that stood to profit in the hundreds of millions of dollars (if not more) from increased government regulations and sweetheart deals from connected politicians and bureaucrats. The multimillionaire climate dilettante was given a free pass by reporters, who refused to ask him hard questions about the degree to which he was profiting from the panic he was causing.

PIMP!

With the global-warming story line unraveling, the New York Times allowed Mr. Gore to run what amounted to an unpaid advertisement for his brand of climate-change hysteria. This screed, published Saturday, reiterated his claim that the world faces an “unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it.” That’s pretty good rhetoric for the person with the largest carbon footprint in the world.

BIG PIMP and little pimp.

Mr. Gore is not the only one profiting from climate fraud. Rajendra K. Pachauri, chairman of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace prize with Mr. Gore, is also the director general of the Energy and Resources Institute. The New Delhi-based research group has received substantial financial grants to examine the issue of the world’s vanishing glaciers, a purported crisis that was highlighted in the 2007 IPCC climate-change report. The glaciology unit is headed by Syed Hasnain, who in 1999 claimed that Himalayan glaciers would be gone by 2035, which became a noted scare quote in the IPCC report.

PIMP, and PIMP, Jr.

I’d like to present an award to ol’ Al of my own.

Disappointing?

Well, gracious, that’s one way of putting it. I could come up with a few different words, but I’m a lady, and I try NOT to use such language. I happened to watch the speech. To quote Joe Wilson: YOU LIE! He repeated the same nonsense he spewed at the Obama Show last week, especially when it comes to the numbers.

Obama also mentioned listening to the People!  Well, we’ve been talking, you ain’t been listenin’!  Can we say TEA PARTY??  I knew we could.

Blithering Idiots

Scathing report: Tea partiers just like Timothy McVeigh

A new attack by the Southern Poverty Law Center charges the tea-party movement is “shot through” with radical ideas and tied with “hate groups,” “furious anti-immigrant vigilante groups” and “so-called ‘Patriot’ groups.”

The SPLC report, “Rage on the Right, The Year in Hate and Extremism,” assails Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., for “plugging” anti-government ideas and Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt for daring to promote Second Amendment gun rights.

The SPLC’s Mark Potok warns “so-called ‘Patriot’ groups – militias and other organizations that see the federal government as part of a plot to impose ‘one-world government’ on liberty-loving Americans – came roaring back after years out of the limelight.”

I gotta tell ya, THIS guy scares me a WHOLE lot more than anyone I’ve ever met at the Tea Party rallies!

I’ve checked out the SPLC more than I’d care to admit.  It’s a scary site too.  When you have the word LAW in your title, wouldn’t you think that someone over there would have bothered to read the basis for our laws?  Just a thought.  As much as I hate to do it, in the sense of fair play, this is the link for Mr Potok’s recent rant.

The SPLC said the “radical right” “caught fire last year.”

So, folks who believe that the U.S. Constitution trumps all the horse manure flowing out of D.C. are the ‘radical right’? Got it. I guess the folks who actually sat down and WROTE that document were pretty ‘radical’ too, eh?

Post very important, very relevant, MUST watch Glenn Beck videos from his show on 3/2/10! Yes, it’s even imperative for those on the left, to listen and learn. This is an important history lesson, and how it relates to today’s current situation.
