Where is the LEFT’S Outrage?

Oh, but THAT’S different! Uh…how? One wanted to keep our nation safe from terrorists, the other wants to spy on it’s own citizens. Y’all need to pick a side.  Are you FOR America, and Americans?  Or do you identify with those who would whack your head off?  Seriously!  I’m really starting to miss Bush. Shoot, I’m even starting to miss Clinton! At least Clinton was semi rational. :?

    I never…EVER…thought I’d miss Clinton, but I hafta say, I agree with you.  What’s going on right now is something I thought I’d only see in the movies – but even then, the good guys would take over and we’d get our country back.  :(

    But seriously, I think there’s a difference in the presumption of privacy between phone calls and twitter, the same as there is a difference between speaking in one’s home, or with one’s lawyer, and a conversation on the street or other public place.
     
    Yes, tech is moving so fast we’ll always be playing legal catch up, but the precedent is there for what is private and not, and this can be applied forward.

    *shakes head* You see no difference between stopping terrorists attacks of NON citizens who want to destroy the nation, and people who love their country so much, they are willing to ‘fight’ to preserve it.  That’s pretty sad.

    I realize there is a LEGAL difference, but a MORAL difference I’m not so sure. If out rights are bestowed by God, and common to ALL men as stated in the Constitution, I see no reason they should not be extended to those outside our borders. Or do you believe God plays favorites!?

    After 14 months of the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sins of the the United States of America, I am nostalgic for the era of Bill Clinton. Hell, I even miss Jimmy Carter.

    Ive actually been reading his book “Blackbelt Patriotism”     its very good, full of insight and ideas our lawmakers should look at.

    If we stop listening to liberals and look at their actions (past) none of this will surprise anyone. 
    The PMRC (parents music resource center) was headed by Tipper Gore, Al’s wife. They were for putting R and X ratings on music, telling us what we can and cant listen to. Luckily they didnt win.
    It goes on and on from there.

    @jim  Do you see anything in the 14th Amendment that says foreign murderous terrorists have the same right as citizens of the U.S?

    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

    I dunno…seems pretty specific to me.

    Yes, I said above I recognize the legal difference, but philosophically, the founders weree clear:
     
    “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights”
    (emphasis mine)
     
    It would not be a stretch to say that we should acknowledge those rights regardless the birthplace of the individual.

    Yeah….created….life, liberty and the pursuit.  Doesn’t mean they get to blow the crap out of citizens, and then get the same CONSTITUTIONAL rights.

    No, the “unalienable” would suggest the rights cannot be taken away.

    Then they can get their “unalienable” rights in their own country.  I’m sure Saudi Arabia would read them their rights.  Since Muslims believe in Allah, and he doesn’t seem to give them any rights other than to murder and rape…..  I suppose you’d read Mengele his rights too, eh?
