Ann on Why We’ll Never Be Visiting Canada
Oh, Canada!
by Ann Coulter
Since arriving in Canada I’ve been accused of thought crimes, threatened with criminal prosecution for speeches I hadn’t yet given and denounced on the floor of the Parliament (which was nice because that one was on my “bucket list”).
Posters advertising my speech have been officially banned, while posters denouncing me are plastered all over the University of Ottawa campus. Elected officials have been prohibited from attending my speeches. Also, the local clothing stores are fresh out of brown shirts.
Welcome to Canada!
Oooops!
Did Obama Read the Bill?
“This year, tens of thousands of uninsured Americans with a preexisting condition and parents whose children have a preexisting condition will finally be able to purchase the coverage they need … they will see their premiums reduced … we’ll extend the life of Medicare…” (Remarks by President Obama, 03/23/10)
About That…
Empty Promises on Health Care for Children and Young Adults:
- “Hours after President Barack Obama signed historic health care legislation, a potential problem emerged. Administration officials are now scrambling to fix a gap in highly touted benefits for children. Obama made better coverage for children a centerpiece of his health care remake, but it turns out the letter of the law provided a less-than-complete guarantee that kids with health problems would not be shut out of coverage.” (Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, “Gap in health care law’s protection for children,” Associated Press, 03/24/10)
- “The bill Obama signed leaves a giant loophole … The law exempts current insurance policies from having to include coverage for the young adults.” (Jane M. Von Bergen, “For young adults, there’s a hitch in health-care law,” Philadelphia Inquirer, 03/24/10)
Empty Promises on Lower Premiums for Everyone:
- “And Obama skips over an important caveat: The budget office didn’t say premiums would be lower than currently. It said premiums for some people would be lower than they would have been without the bill. Premiums for others would be higher.” (Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, “FACT CHECK: Spinning the new health care law,” Associated Press, 03/24/10)
Empty Promises on Saving Medicare:
· “Savings from the Medicare cuts will be invested in government IOUs, like any other trust fund surplus. The special Treasury securities count as an asset on Medicare’s books — making the program’s precarious financial situation seem more reassuring. But the government will spend the actual money. And when time comes for Medicare to redeem the IOUs, lawmakers will have to scramble to come up with the cash.” (Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, “FACT CHECK: Spinning the new health care law,” Associated Press, 03/24/10)

Shuster Is a Dupe
I have to ask you, Mike, why did you go on this tool’s show? You should know by now they don’t let conservatives answer the questions they ask. On the other hand, I notice that Levine guy had NO problem responding.
Weasel Time
Test Drive
I took a Cadillac Escalade out for a test drive just to drive that sucker before they become extinct. The salesman sat in the back seat describing the car and all its wonderful options.
The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.
I stated the car must be a Republican car.
Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican car and I explained that if it were a Democrat car, the seats would blow smoke up your ass year-round.
I had to walk back to the dealership…

No Media Bias? Really?
Even smaller town print media has an agenda. How do I know? Well, just take a gander at this ‘headline’ from the Jackson Sun:
Candidates against health care
Seriously? These candidates are against health care? What kind of moron would even use such a statement, in a headline, or anywhere else, for that matter. NO ONE is ‘against health care’! Not even Republican candidates in TN’s 8th. What reasonably intelligent person would be against people caring for their own health? Yep….people should take care of themselves. It is NOT the government’s job! Now, would Mr Beadle care to rephrase that, or is he going to be a complete asswipe, and continue the socialist male bovine excrement?
H.R. 4321
Also known as…….
Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009
To provide for comprehensive immigration reform, and for other purposes.
Oh, yippee! Didn’t we already tell them we want the current laws ENFORCED, and no amnesty for those who continue to break those laws??? It’s not that difficult. Really…..it’s not. Oh, but I forget, now we have a socialist/Marxist in the White House, and a socialist/Marxist as Speaker of the House, and Chicago style politics all around the town. I won’t mention Reid on this. He’s just a major weasel.
Tax and Control
I’ve said it. Others have said it. Now THEY are admitting it!
Let me remind you this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.
H/T Mr Ol’ Broad, for bringing this to my attention, and Hot Air..always on top of things.
23 March 1775
No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope that it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen, if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.
This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty towards the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.
Tea Party Showdown
Received in an email:
It’s being hailed as a “Conservative Woodstock” – a historic event in the tea party movement where thousands upon thousands of patriots will gather in Harry Reid’s hometown of Searchlight, NV and demand an end to his term in public office.
So many people are heading to Searchlight, NV for this historic event (which takes place this Saturday, March 27th) that the local motels and campgrounds are now totally full.
Tea Party in Searchlight: Where will they all stay?
This weekend thousands of conservative Americans will descend on the tiny Nevada town of Searchlight for a Tea Party rally. Searchlight is home to only about 800 people. The town has one motel and an RV park. So where will the thousands of visitors stay?
There’s an unusual place just outside of town that is quickly filling up with people from across the country.
Just about 14 miles east of Searchlight, inside the Lake Mead National Park, lies the Cottonwood Cove Resort.
All I have to say, if you were planning on heading to Searchlight, NV, I sure hope you’ve got your room/space reserved!
You can find more info at the Tea Party Express website.
Now, if there was just some way to send Ninny Pelousi the same message. Hmmm…
