An Appeal
A fellow blogger writes:
I get a knock on my door this morning, it’s the land lord of my ex wife and the mother of my two daughters. He knows me, and couldn’t figure out how to get a hold of her…
Their house burned completely down a few hours ago; their pets, which include a family dog and a couple of cats, were all destroyed in the blaze along with everything they own. They were in school when it happened, thank the Lord for that.
I’ll post more later, any supportive prayers and thoughts for my Erica and Melody would be much appreciated. I’ll go without before they should have to.
Semper Fi.
Then:
As I had briefly touched on yesterday my daughters home, pets, years of accumulated what-nots, furniture, every piece of clothing and other miscellaneous property that would cover everything else (literally everything) went up in an inferno…
They are trying to pick up the pieces and putting their faith in God at this hour. Their community, friends, and family are starting to pull together and helping out in a myriad of ways.
It goes without saying; that having lost it all, it’s going to take some time for them to get back on track emotionally and of course financially. I’m doing as much as I can as a disabled veteran with my income, more importantly with my unconditional love and support. I always have and I always will go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to my girls.
Semper Fidelis – Always Faithful: To God, Country, Corps, and Family.
As you can see, there is nothing left. It’s difficult enough for adults to start from scratch, but imagine how hard it is to explain to kids why everything they had is gone, including loved pets. I know it’s tough times right now, for everybody, but if everyone could chip in a few bucks, then perhaps, this family could make a new start. There is a Pay Pal button on the second post where you can make a donation, if you are so inclined. If you can’t help financially, please, pray for them. Prayers are always important.

URGENT! Citizens of Tennessee!
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to make it to Nashville tomorrow, but that won’t stop me from speaking out against ANY elected official that puts Obama and his agenda before the well being of the citizens of Tennessee!
The Healthcare Freedom Act (HB3433) is in danger of not passing this year in the Tennessee House of Representatives! Your help is urgently needed today to make sure Tennessee stands with other States against the federal takeover of our healthcare!
The Healthcare Freedom Act, sponsored by Rep. Bell, is currently in the TN House Industrial Commerce Subcommittee, which is evenly split between 6 Republicans and 6 Democrats. HB3433 is scheduled to be voted on this coming Wednesday, March 31 at 10:00am. Here are two things we desperately need you to do:
It’s All About ME!
Obama Says ‘Core Group’ in Tea Party Opposes Him
President Barack Obama says he believes the Tea Party is built around a “core group” of people who question whether he is a U.S. citizen and believe he is a socialist.
The issue of him being a U.S. citizen never came up when I, personally, opposed candidate Obama. Even his skin tone was never an issue. HIS POLICIES, however, are a whole different story. Yes, I do believe he is a socialist. He’s never come right out and said he was, but he has given many indications that he buys into the socialist agenda, like “spread the wealth“. There are, however, some people in the Tea Party movement who do question his legitimacy as POTUS. The reason being, not so much the birth certificate, he’s never been forth coming about all the papers, and has accrued quite a chunk of change to challenge anyone who questions him. What’s up with that? Just produce the school transcripts, etc., and all will be well.
But beyond that, Obama tells NBC he recognizes the movement involves “folks who have legitimate concerns” about the national debt and whether the government is taking on too many difficult issues simultaneously.
Oh yeah, we do have legitimate concerns, alright. Like the unconstitutionality of the actions of the federal government. They have truly overstepped their bounds, and we don’t like it.
In an interview broadcast Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show, Obama said he feels “there’s still going to be a group at their core that question my legitimacy.” But he said he didn’t want to paint Tea Party activists “in broad brushes” and he hopes to win over members who have “mainstream, legitimate concerns.”
Wouldn’t count on that happening, dude. You see, we have actually READ these bills you are shoving down our throats, unlike those who voted on them, and YOU, who signed them, and we don’t like them. We don’t like the usurping of power. It’s WE, THE PEOPLE, not YOU, THE GOVERNMENT!
Race Baiter, Sharpton, LIES On O’Reilly!
Big shock, eh? Claims to have seen a tape that DOES NOT EXIST!

The Indictment
Family Defends Christian Militia Group, Says Hutaree Did Nothing Wrong
The fiancee of one of the members of a Christian extremist group arrested this week in a federal raid defended the Hutaree, saying that if group members had had plans for violence, “they would have done it already.”
This is really starting to chap my hide! IF these people are guilty of such acts, then they are NOT a Christian group at all. For the media to continue to repeat it, well, like I said, it REALLY chaps my hide!
The last of the nine Hutaree members indicted in an alleged plot to kill law enforcement officers with improvised explosive devices was arrested late Monday. The Michigan-based militia group had been preparing its alleged attack for months and was getting ready to move, authorities say.
You can read the indictment here. To be honest, I find some of the language quite disturbing, for other reasons than those stated against the defendants.
I will not defend anyone who conspires against a law enforcement officer. The only way I could, would be if said officer was acting against the citizens of the U.S., and the Constitution.
“Let’s Roll!”
Let’s Roll, America!
by J. D. Longstreet
Todd Beamer uttered the immortal words: “Let’s Roll” just moments before he and a handful of his fellow passengers, aboard the doomed “flight 93,” counter-attacked their hijackers and thwarted the terrorist’s attempt to fly the airliner into the nation’s capitol building and thus saved the lives of US senators, Congresspersons, and members of their staffs, as well many other Americans just visiting the seat of their government.
I opened this commentary with the reference to Mr. Beamer’s immortal words because they capsulize the character of America. “Let’s Roll” was a call to action by passengers on a hijacked airliner. Today, “Let’s Roll” is a call to action by Americans whose country has been hijacked by Socialist/Marxists.
We have said many times before that Americans are a breed apart. We are a mongrel nation, a mongrel people. Our national DNA, of necessity, must resemble a jigsaw puzzle. The one thing we have in common is our “uncommonness!” Many of us may resemble our European ancestors, or our ancestors from other parts of the world — until you scratch the surface. Underneath you will find a “whole ‘nother” animal.
Praying for Justice
I haven’t posted much about the trial. It’s been difficult to read the updates from the paper, but I have. When I think of the adorable little boy, the rowdy, mischievous teenager, the responsible young man, and father he became, my heart breaks all over again.
I hadn’t seen the family in years. When Brat and I left California, sad to say, we lost touch. But when you have been friends with someone since the age of 12, that’s what you remain, friends. Though time and distance tend to draw people apart, that bond is still there. If I had been able, I would be in California right now, sitting through the trial, crying and praying with Sally, Thad, and Cathy. Unfortunately, circumstances wouldn’t allow it, so all I can do is pray. Pray that the life of Matthew Allen Toste means something! Pray that those who murdered this young man, will get the justice they deserve, one way or another. Pray his young son will grown up knowing that his dad died protecting his friend, and family. I pray that Sally will be able to remember the son she loves so dearly, the verdict will bring her peace, and her heart will begin to heal, even though I know, there will always be a large hole there. Hopefully, her children and grandchildren will begin to fill that hole with love.
Toste murder case headed to jury
Prosecutors told jurors Monday to consider second-degree murder “as a starting point” in deliberating the fates of two Santa Rosa men accused of slaying another man during a confrontation in a Santa Rosa parking garage more than three years ago.
Joseph Lopez Jr., 21, and Paul Whiterock, 30, are charged with first-degree murder — a premedited act — in the shooting death of Matthew Toste, 32. But in closing arguments, prosecutor Spencer Brady said he would leave it to the jury to decide if the act was premeditated and deliberate, thus seeming to accept the possibility of a lesser verdict.
A first-degree murder conviction carries a maximum sentence of 25 years-to-life in prison while a second-degree conviction tops out at 15-years-to-life. Both men also face other charges that could add years to any sentence.
May the hand of God guide these 12 men and women to bring justice.
