An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Are There No REAL Journalist Anymore?

I stopped watching the Today Show a LONG time ago. Perky Katie drove me up the wall. Matt Lauer is even worse. So, I gotta tell ya, while perusing a few items, I came across yesterday’s Lauer suck up with Obama, I almost fell off my chair when I read this:

The president said he believes the problem can be solved, but on health care, he said, “I am frustrated that Republicans who I think had an opportunity to help shape this bill declined that opportunity.”

Now, if Lauer was a REAL journalist, which, from all indications, he is NOT, he would have asked the obvious:

Mr President, how can you say that? The Republicans were shut out of the debate, you never asked them to join in the discussion, and until there was a large outcry from the American people, you never even bothered to talk to Republicans, and then, dismissed every single concern, with nose in the air, at the televised Obama Show.

But that would mean that Lauer had journalistic integrity, and we all know, that just ain’t so.

Another little tidbit from Obama caught my eye:

“What’s interesting is that if you actually break down the specifics of the bill, you will see that this, historically, has had a lot of Republican support,” Obama said.

Now see, here we have a fabrication. While I’m not technically a Republican, I would be more likely to vote “R” than “D”. More R’s, I’s, and all those in between have actually read the bill than any D’s, including the President of the United States himself. I’d venture to guess he really has no idea what is actually IN his ‘signature’ bull….er….bill.

The evidence, that this has never been a bill about health care, keeps mounting.  This is a tax and control bill.  That, after all, is the whole idea of the socialist agenda, isn’t it.  Kiss more jobs goodbye.
