When Will TN Step Up?
Tennessee officials may sue over health reform
As 12 states announced plans to challenge the constitutionality of the health-care overhaul, Tennessee officials say they are weighing a similar lawsuit.
Tennessee Attorney General Bob Cooper’s office said in a statement Monday that Cooper had instructed his staff to “begin a thorough and detailed analysis of the health care reform legislation, which, of course, may change further through the reconciliation process.”
“As always in this office, a decision to file a lawsuit will be made after consultation with the affected departments of state government, careful deliberation regarding legal precedents, and only upon a determination that litigation is proper, prudent, and timely,” the statement said. “In the meantime, as Tennesseans have long respected, this office will be conscientious to avoid engagement in on-going political debates.
I’ve been waiting all day to hear that the TN Attorney General is joining with other states to put a stop to this fiasco, this TAX & CONTROL bill that has been shoved down our throats, contrary to the wishes of the MAJORITY of Americans! Well, I might have found out why Cooper is being wishy washy.
So, the Attorney General of the state of Tennessee is an Obama supporter? Isn’t that interesting.

High-Speed Rail: More Mickey Mouse Stimulus Spending

The failures of President Barack Obama’s $862 billion stimulus are legend, but the $8 billion the Obama administration will waste on high-speed rail is particularly galling. The New York Times reports today:
The drive from Orlando to Tampa takes only 90 minutes or so. Despite the short distance, the Obama administration awarded Florida $1.25 billion in stimulus money to link the cities with a fast train to help kick off its efforts to bring high-speed rail service to the United States.

Proponents of high-speed rail worry that the new line, which is scheduled to be up and running in 2015, might hurt rather than help their cause, if it comes to be seen as little more than an expensive way to whisk tourists from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World, which is slated to get its own stop.

First, the bad news.
At 11:56 a.m. this morning, President Obama signed the health care legislation into law, turning one-sixth of our economy over to the federal government.
Congressional Democrats cheered as they watched the President sign this full-blown attack on our freedoms.
It was a painful sight to see.

Will Obama Suspend the Mid Term Election?

More and more politics watchers are coming around to the conclusion that the scheduled Mid-Term Election in November of 2010 will be a political bloodbath for the Democratic Party. It is beginning to appear as if the democrats may, indeed, lose control of BOTH houses of the Congress. As a conservative I can only hope and pray they do.
But – the democrats lust for power is so great and their zeal for socialism so intense, that I cannot see them allowing their hold on power to be placed in jeopardy by, of all things, an election where the voice of the people is actually heard.
So, the question must be asked: Will Obama and the socialist/democrats in our government suspend, postpone, or “call-off” the Mid Term Election scheduled for this coming November?
First we must remember that Obama promised during the presidential campaign to bring “Fundamental Change” to the United States. I do not believe a person alive in America today could doubt his sincerity when he said that. Plus, the evidence of that fundamental change is right before our eyes, and in our wallets. In less than eighteen months the Obama Regime has managed to take America from a constitutional republic to a socialist republic. That accomplishment alone should give you reason enough to suspect that when their power is threatened they will use the full force of the Central Government to ruthlessly crush any and all who they perceive as a threat. At this moment in history, a threat is anyone, any American, who does not agree with them.
The question has come up quite frequently in recent months, by many people….will we even have elections in 2010? Or how about 2012?
Read the entire post here. Think about what you have seen on the news recently, and then consider, are we now slaves of the federal government? Read the U.S. Constitution again. Read about the Founders. Educate yourself, and fight to regain control of our country. WE, THE PEOPLE must NOT lose sight of who we are, where we came from, and the sacrifices of those who came before that we may be FREE!

This story is about PVT Channing Moss, who was impaled by a live RPG during a Taliban ambush while on patrol. Army protocol says that medevac choppers are never to carry anyone with a live round in him. Even though they feared it could explode, the flight crew said damn the protocol and flew him to the nearest aid station.
Again, protocol said that in such a case the patient is to be put in sandbagged area away from the surgical unit, given a shot of morphine and left to wait (and die) until others are treated. Again, the medical team ignored the protocol. Here’s a seven-minute video put together by the Military Times, which includes actual footage of the surgery where Dr. John Oh, a Korean immigrant who became a naturalized citizen and went to West Point , removed the live round with the help of volunteers and a member of the EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) team.
Spc. Channing Moss was hit by a live rocket-propelled grenade in Afghanistan. For medics there was only one choice.

Kicking down a back door isn’t the way Jonah Asher wanted to get back into his Memphis home. With three Memphis Police officers as backup, Asher is finally taking back what’s his.
“This is what I was up against,” Asher said, holding up a sign that says “Shoot to Kill.”
It took a court order to get Asher back in the house.

Cobbs says man-made laws don’t apply to him, because he’s sovereign. He filed papers with the Shelby County Register of Deeds declaring that he is exempt from federal, state, and local laws.
“This guy thinks he’s a sovereign king and he can take what he wants when he wants, and nobody can do anything about it,” Asher said.
“This guy is talking bout I think I’m a sovereign king, I am a sovereign king! And he gonna find out. Yahweh gonna put him out of his house in Mississippi,” Cobbs said.
Cobbs says he follows the teachings of Yahweh ben Yahweh, the leader of a black supremacist movement.
“We study real deep. We learned all of this from Yahweh Ben Yahweh,” Cobbs said.
This Cobbs guy is a real piece of work! I watched this report on the news tonight, and was flabbergasted that he has been getting away with this for a while. A $500,000 home, a $4.6 million motel, and other properties.
“This ain’t the only home I’m gonna take, I’m bout to take over everything I can!” Cobbs said.
In other words, he’s going to steal other people’s homes, and he’s announcing to the world he’s going to steal them. I had to look up this “Yahweh ben Yahweh“. I’d never heard of the guy. Evidently, he was quite a piece of work too.
Yahweh ben Yahweh emphasized that God and all the prophets of the Bible were black and blacks would gain the knowledge of their true history through him. He also emphasized whites and particularly Jews as infidels and oppressors. Lastly he emphasized loyalty to himself as the son of God YHWH.
Served time on a RICO charge, accused of murder (acquitted), and evidently taught his ‘followers’ that the 8th Commandment does not apply to them. Not too bright for someone who claimed to be the son of Creator.

I realize that’s a shock to some of y’all, but it’s true. Seriously!
They’ll say anything, do anything, MAKE UP CRAP, just to ATTEMPT to put those opposed to their socialistic ideology in a bad light. The problem is, they keep forgetting that videos are forever! Especially on the internet. If you are a Congressional Democrat and decided to throw accusations, you damn sure better have PROOF!

“Tonight’s vote is disappointing, and its cost will hit our state and future generations very hard,” said Corker. “On Friday, Governor Bredesen let me know this bill will cost Tennessee an estimated $1.1 billion in Medicaid expansion over five years – a huge unfunded mandate that creates a very difficult situation for our state.
“Beyond that, I think what bothers me most about the bill are its disingenuous accounting mechanisms. It’s insulting to the American people. First, the bill applies 10 years of new taxes to finance six years of spending, resulting in huge deficits over the next decades. Second, even President Obama’s own Medicare officials have determined that Medicare savings are counted TWICE in the bill, hiding the legislation’s true cost. This comes down to elementary school logic; you can’t spend the same dollar twice. And finally, almost as soon as the ink dries on this legislation, a new bill will come forth to deal with all or part of what is called the ‘doc fix’ to ensure that physicians who treat Medicare recipients do not receive a 21 percent cut. The cost of that over 10 years is more than $200 billion, proving that Americans have not been dealt with squarely on the true accounting associated with this bill.”
Alexander Statement

“This is an historic mistake. And unlike Social Security, Medicare and civil rights legislation, the only thing bipartisan about it is the opposition to it.
“The mistake is to expand a health care delivery system that is already too expensive instead of reducing its cost so more Americans can afford health insurance.
“This taxes job creators in the middle of a recession. It means Medicare cuts and premium increases for millions of Americans. When you include the cost of paying doctors who serve Medicare patients, it will increase the national debt.
“It will force governors to cut higher education funding, and raise taxes and tuition to pay for new Medicaid costs. In Tennessee, the governor says the cost will be $1.1 billion or more over five years.
“And the last-minute Washington takeover of the student loan program will add a half trillion more to the debt and overcharge 19 million student loans to help pay for health care.”
