LOSER?
Uh….so, this so called ‘teacher’ of 12 years, is trying to relate to his students by calling them “LOSER”?????? Let’s say this assjack graduated at age 24, that would make him, roughly, in the 36 year old age range? Is this jerk suppose to be a grown up, in a position of authority? Giving guidance to 6th graders? And you mean to tell me that some ‘parents’ are actually defending this low life, scum sucking, son of bottom feeder? The only LOSER I see in this whole thing is that moron collecting taxpayer funds!
Grass Roots? How ‘Bout Soros Roots!
If you have a few minutes, check out these ‘grass roots’ folks website. Snoop through the forums, and see what they are saying. Things like:
“We have allowed these people to have the stage alone for far too long. I know for a fact that if we put together counter events that Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow, would promote them.
Progressives made a HUGE mistake allowing these people to get their nonsense over the airwaves unchallenged. We should have been at every single town meeting shouting these people down. They were loud and effective and caused the Democrats to retreat on health care.”
And:
“I don’t understand why his approval ratings are so low. People need to give him a break and leave Obama alone. He is trying to rebuild the country that the fascist, racist republican war criminals destroyed. Not only that but he is also trying to rebuild and save the world. I think he is one of the greatest presidents ever. Does anyone else agree? I know I’ll be voting for him in 2012!”
And:
“I believe this really must change because the impacts of global warming will soon dwarf any other conceivable issue.
The way I have approached this conundrum, because I think is is effective and also is dear to my heart, it to try to raise awareness about the consequences of releasing the “other” greenhouse gases through fossil and biofuel emissions.”
H/T: Wake Up and Smell The Liberal
Super Bowl – Yes. Bible Study – No.
When I first saw this headline in an email alert yesterday, my first thought was that it must be some town in a Muslim country. Or, perhaps some place like Cuba.
Much to my surprise, when I finally clicked on the link this morning, it wasn’t some foreign country, it was my own. Again!
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Banished! City forbids Bible studies in homes
‘This letter will serve as a 10-day written notice to quit such use’
The city of Gilbert, Ariz., has ordered a group of seven adults to stop gathering for Bible studies in a private home because such meetings are forbidden by the city’s zoning codes.
The issue was brought to a head when city officials wrote a letter to a pastor and his wife informing them they had 10 days to quit having the meetings in their private home.
What appears to be a ‘burb of Phoenix, has decided home Bible studies are a no no? A zoning code? Uh, what do they do when someone has a baby shower? Christmas parties? A church isn’t a building. It’s the people. Do you know how many churches have gotten started by a few folks, gathering in someone’s home, to learn, pray, and praise the Lord? My own church (a year before I started attending, with barely 20 or 30) was doing just that. They started out with 5 people, meeting in homes. They had graduated to a little double wide trailer, that had to be renovated to accommodate our growing numbers. We finally have a real church building, with a steeple and everything. Seats about 150? Maybe more. Seems to me, when the church started, way back when, there was one “Leader” and a few fishermen.
“The interpretation and enforcement of the town’s code is clearly unconstitutional, ” said Daniel Blomberg, a member of the litigation team for ADF. “It bans 200,000 Gilbert residents from meeting in their private homes for organized religious purposes – an activity encouraged in the Bible, practiced for thousands of years, and protected by the First Amendment.”
I’d really like to know what kind of people they have on that city council who have decided folks gathering to worship God are breaking the ‘law’.
There had been no complaints about the meetings, which had been rotating among members’ homes before the officer wrote the letter and ordered the group to “terminate all religious meetings … regardless of their size, nature or frequency,” because he noticed signs about the meetings.
The town interprets its law so that “churches within its borders cannot have any home meetings of any size, including Bible studies, three-person church leadership meetings and potluck dinners,” ADF said.
Is it just Christian churches they are banning from meeting? I wonder if any Muslims groups, of three or more, decided to meet in someone’s home, would they be banned as well?
“The assembly activities associated with the church, including Bible studies, church leadership meetings and church fellowship activities are not permitted,” wrote Mike Milillo, the city’s senior planner.
“This ban is defended based upon traffic, parking, and building safety concerns. However, nothing in its zoning code prevents weekly Cub Scouts meetings, Monday Night Football parties with numerous attendees or large business parties from being held on a regular basis in private homes,” the ADF said.
I did a little snooping on ol’ Mike. Not a whole lot, but from what I did gather, this city bunch is quite the “progressive” type, with an obsession about signs. So, I suppose it’s not really all that surprising when they get their knickers in a twist over a few people getting together.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I wonder when they’ll start shutting down the big churches. Considering the number of Mosques they have in the area, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was sooner, rather than later.
If traffic is the REAL concern, which is highly doubtful, then all you folks in Gilbert better start rethinking your home weddings, Cub Scout meetings, and adult sex toy parties!
The small church has been forced to halt its regular meetings. It meets now in a local school but only can afford the rental once a week.
Honestly, if I were them, I’d tell that bozo to stick it where the sun don’t shine! There is absolutely NO reason why this should have ever been an issue, ESPECIALLY in a country that was founded by the guiding principle of law found in the study of that same Bible that ol’ Mike and his buddies seems to find so offensive.
A spokeswoman for the city of Gilbert told WND city officials were aware of the concern and planned to address it.
Vice Mayor Linda Abbott told WND the code apparently was adopted years earlier, and there was considerable concern on the city council because of the current issues.
“I’m not in favor of that code. That is something we would want revisited,” she said.
A voice of reason? Maybe. Who wrote that code? When was it implemented? How did it get passed? And just who, with an ounce of integrity, would ever enforce such an offensive code? The folks in San Diego got an apology. Will these people get the same?

Scrap The Crap
Do you ever feel like Alice, falling down the rabbit hole, into an alternate reality, where up is down, and wrong is right? Well, I’m sure that’s how most us feel these days. At least those of us old enough to remember a time when the government pretty much left us alone, and allowed us to make our own decisions. You know, like grown ups.
The more I delve into this whole health care manure, the more I feel like Alice chatting with that hookah smoking caterpillar. There is no reality, and nothing makes any sense.
Message From Marsha
Email from Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN-7th):
Rumors about what could happen with the health care bill next week are spreading across Capitol Hill. I thought I would pass on those I am reasonably sure are accurate.
We KNOW two pieces of legislation will need to pass the House. The Speaker will need to find votes for the bill that passed the Senate last Christmas Eve (the Senate bill). The Majority is also putting together a second bill, the reconciliation bill, which makes “fixes” to the Senate bill to make it palatable to House Democrats.
We HEAR the Democrat leadership team could make this reconciliation bill available publicly over the weekend. Some Members have indicated that this bill will be publicly available for a week before it comes up for a vote.
We KNOW the Majority had hoped to pass the Senate bill and the reconciliation bill under what is called a “self-executing rule.” In this scenario, the House would first vote for a rule that says any vote to pass the reconciliation bill is essentially a two-fer which would also constitute a vote on the Senate bill. The Speaker then planned to hold the Senate bill until the Senate passed the reconciliation bill, thus guaranteeing the Senate would act on House priorities before the President could sign anything into law. The Senate Parliamentarian popped this balloon yesterday by instructing the Leadership that the President must first sign the Senate bill before the Senate could act on the reconciliation bill.
We HEAR the Parliamentarian’s decision has made things difficult for the Speaker. It is one thing for the Speaker to ask Members to trust her; it is entirely different to ask them to trust the Senate. As one colleague said, “The Republicans are the opposition, but the Senate is the enemy.”
We KNOW the White House had initially set next Thursday as the deadline for House action on the bill- the date the President was scheduled to depart for Asia. The deadline has been pushed back, as has the President’s trip.
We HEAR we can expect a vote next week or possibly next weekend. This will make the week to come very interesting and very important.
As always, I will keep you updated as events develop.
If, and I repeat a HUGE IF, Congress had two brain cells to rub together, common sense, and was actually ethical, this whole piece of crap legislation would never have gotten this far, AND, since it did, they’d scrap the whole thing, and start over with some REAL effort to aid in the costs of health care. That’s not the purpose though, and we know it. They KNOW that we KNOW, but they don’t give a damn.
Glenn Beck Videos
Well shoot! It seems there have been some issues about embedding videos of Glenn’s show. To say I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to embed the entire shows anymore, is an understatement. As the owner of the site, The Daily Beck, where I have found the shows, in their entirety states:
Many of these folks have been forced to make the difficult decision to cancel their cable or satellite subscriptions. Others live in countries where Fox News Channel programming is not offered- these folks are starving for the truth. Glenn’s program gives them hope everyday that there are still people left in the world who are willing stand up to the fascist octopus and fight for freedom.
While we were in Tunica, the only way we were able to watch that Massa fiasco was through his (her?) site, since the hotel didn’t have Fox News. Yeah, what a waste of time that was, but still, if it hadn’t been for those videos, we wouldn’t have been aware what a weasel Mass really is, right? Notice I didn’t post ‘em?
That’s One Weird Looking Cat!
People of Walmart
Don’t you love those emails ya get from relatives and friends, featuring the People of Walmart? I have to tell ya, some of the pictures with the captions have me literally in tears from laughing so hard. Well, I got one of those emails today from my brother in law, and yes, tears rolling down the cheeks, cackling like a chicken laying an egg. Well, I thought I’d go look at the site to see what’s new, just for something to do. Well, it’s not like I don’t have anything to do. It’s just that, well, at the time, I didn’t feel like doing it.
Don’t Think There Is Media Bias?
Think again!
On 27 February 2009, thousands all across the country gathered together to protest what was being seen as a violation of the U.S. Constitution, massive spending, and a major decline of our liberties. The coverage of such rallies was spotty at best, and none existent in most cases. Even CNN’s Howard Kurtz admits the lack on the part of the media to cover the TEA Parties. But when it comes the leaning far left group, Coffee Party, well now, that’s a whole ‘nuther kettle of fish, isn’t it. Wow. People who have never been involved in the political process before, who were made fun of barely a year ago, called “astroturf”, and a few names that shouldn’t be repeated in polite company, on that same cable “news” network, are now hailing people who have never been involved in the political process is now being promoted. Uh huh.
This new group calls for civility, objects to obstructionism and demands that politicians be held accountable to the people who put them in office.
Not one arrest at the TEA Parties, except for attacking leftists/SEIU/union thugs, egged on by Obama’s own words, yet the implication is that TEA Partiers have not been civil. Got it. Naturally, the SEIU lied about the incident, but did the media cover that part? Good thing people make use of the video feature of their cells phones, isn’t it. It use to be a “picture is worth a thousand words”. Now, it’s a “video will take you DOWN”.
Kind of a shame that all the videos of Obama showing his true colors, red/purple/yellow, didn’t dissuade the clueless. If they had, perhaps there wouldn’t have been a need for all the Tea Parties? Naw….we’d still see the need because McLame, while not quite as bad, would still have overseen to the expansion of the federal government.
Turn Off The Spigot!
Government Dependency Grows As “Non-paying” Taxpayers Hits Record Level
The Tax Foundation recently released its annual report on the number of tax returns filed that have no tax liability, and the study shows a record number of “nonpayers” in 2008. Taxpayers become “non-payers” when credits and deductions wipe out any income tax they owe.
Politicians have so totally screwed up the tax system, the only way to “fix it” will be to totally scrap the entire thing. Many advocate for Fair Tax. While I don’t disagree that if we have to have a tax system on a federal level, which I honestly question quite often, it should be fair. I’m also of the mind it should be flat. Example, no matter what your income, 10%. Companies, individuals, rich, poor, billionaires, welfare queens…… doesn’t matter. 10%.
The amount of income that a family can earn and still be non-payers is also alarming. In 2010, a family of four can earn up to $51,000 and still pay no income taxes.
$51K? Seriously? That’s a nice income, and there are people who don’t pay diddly?
Not only do a record number of taxpayer’s pay no taxes, but many of them actually receive cash payments through the tax code because of refundable credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit. According to the Tax Foundation, cash payments from these two credits alone totaled over $70 billion.
Now, while it’s always nice to get a check in the mail, shouldn’t you actually DO something to earn it, other than make babies? Granted, kids are expensive, but they can be raised without all the ‘must have’ items, like I-Pods, cell phones, $200 butt ugly sneakers, etc.
President Obama’s policies will add to the numbers of non-payers and the amount of income redistributed because he wants to expand and add even more refundable credits.
Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense, doesn’t it. Washington is spending like the proverbial drunken sailors after a year at sea, and yet, they want to take in less taxpayer dollars to pay for it. Oh yeah. Lot of economic logic there.
Are these people so clueless, they can’t even balance a checkbook? Without deposits, you can’t write the check. Oh, wait a minute, this IS the excessively liberal>progressive>socialist>communist powers that be in D.C. Silly me!
The growing dependency on government and shrinking number of taxpayers is troubling and will lead to an even faster rise in unsustainable government spending unless the trend is reversed. Congress should start by ceasing the expansion of refundable tax credits. It should then reform entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare before baby-boomers start collecting benefits from them and dependency on government explodes even further. If Congress starts soon perhaps it won’t be too late to stop the impending fiscal implosion.
How about we faze out all those damn ‘entitlement programs’? NO one is entitled to dick! Do you job, earn your paycheck, put as much as possible in some sort of savings, decide what is more important, that 64″ flat screen TV, or your future, and learn to live within your means! Do I want old folks to go hungry? Of course not. Do I believe the taxpayers should provide for anyone, including me, an income just because they had the misfortune to live much longer than was ever intended? Oh HELL no! Once upon a time, families would band together, look after their elderly parents, as their parents had looked after them when they were younger. That whole “Honor thy father and thy mother” was taken real serious for hundreds of generations. Well, until the “progressives” came to power.
Exodus 20:12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Ok, I can hear it now….”But some parents aren’t such model citizens, and shouldn’t be honored.” Yes, I know. Some people shouldn’t breed, period. Those types sure as hell shouldn’t be supported by taxpayer dollars either! I can think of a few rather creative ways to deal with parents who abuse their children. Supporting them in their old age is NOT one of them!
We can no longer afford all these social programs at the taxpayers expense. We just can’t. It’s past time to re-evaluate how the the whole system works. It’s WAY past time to repeal the 16th Amendment!
When Reality Snaps It’s Fingers
Angry crowd berates Nashville school salary cuts
Custodians, bus drivers face loss of jobs, fewer hours in 2010-11 budget
Police officers guarded the Metro Nashville Public Schools boardroom Thursday as hundreds of angry bus drivers and custodians showed up with their families to protest salary cuts in the district’s 2010-11 budget.
I don’t live in Nashville, thankfully, so there wasn’t much involved here that should have peaked my interest. Why would it matter to me if Nashville has to cut back in their city budget? Probably the same reason it should concern us all, taxes. I don’t pay Nashville taxes, except when we go to pay a ‘visit’.
One crowd member could be heard saying, “That’s so wrong,” in support of what custodian Charles Glenn had to say.
Glenn began by telling board members that his daughter was getting ready to graduate from high school this year. His voice cracked with emotion as he spoke.
“She came up to us and said she was going to forgo college for a year and get a job so she could help us out,” Glenn said. “I’ll give you my home number so you can call her and tell her why her daddy’s getting laid off.”
Things become more clear. The emotional side of budget cuts. Actual people. The sad thing is, emotions can’t pay the bills of such a large city.
