Blame the white man
Leftist racial profiling was thwarted again by reality
There was no joy in liberal land when the prime suspect in the Times Square bomb plot turned out to be a Pakistani-American. The right-wing terrorist boogeyman vanished. Leftist racial and ethnic profiling failed again.
The widely distributed videotape of a lighter-complected suspect near the attack scene – almost universally reported as a “white man” – raised expectations in some quarters that this could be the work of right-wing extremists, maybe even – oh dare it be hoped? – a Tea Party Republican.
The right-wing bomber story line quickly established itself in the meme stream. New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, prompted by CBS News reader Katie Couric, speculated that the culprit was “homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.” MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and NBC News “terrorist analyst” Roger W. Cressey dwelt long on the idea of the bomber being someone with a “right-wing” agenda. Geraldo Rivera seemed fixated on the idea that the bomber was a “white man.” Similar unsubstantiated musings and outright accusations were rife in the liberal blogosphere.

Drats! Foiled again! No doubt, the liberal>progressive>socialist>commies are boo hoo-in’ in their half caf soy latte’, or whatever the flock the lefties are crying in these days. For so called ‘intellectuals’, they aren’t too bright, are they!
A jury was selected, opening statements heard, and testimony in the court-martial of a Navy SEAL accused of punching a suspected terrorist in Iraq.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew McCabe pleaded not guilty Tuesday in military court at Norfolk Naval Station in Virginia. A jury of four Navy officers and three enlisted personnel was seated Tuesday morning.
The 24-year-old Virginia Beach-based SEAL from Perrysburg, Ohio, is accused of assaulting Ahmed Hashim Abed, who is suspected of masterminding the gruesome 2004 killings of four American contractors in Fallujah. Two other SEALs who were accused of covering up the assault were acquitted last month in Iraq and are expected to testify in McCabe’s trial.
This young man should also be acquitted. To be honest, charges should never have been brought against ANY of these heroes!
In opening statements, government prosecutors told members of the jury “a story you don’t want to believe becomes a story you have to believe.”
Aiding and abetting generally means to somehow assist in the commission of a crime, or to be an accomplice. It involves a plan to commit a crime or to commit acts, the probable consequences of which are criminal.
An accomplice may assist or encourage the main offender with the same intent to have the crime committed, but does not necessarily have to be present when the crime is actually committed. However, without sharing the criminal intent, one who is merely present when a crime occurs and stands by silently is not an accomplice, regardless of the harm that could’ve been prevented if he/she had acted. (emphasis mine)
In this vein, I would very much like to see the following persons arrested:
Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.)
Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.)
Shakira (whoever the flock that is)
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ)
Just to name a few, but, that’s just me.
Here is one voice of reason, pointing out just how the lack of action on the part of those ‘aiding and abetting’ has hurt LEGAL citizens and residents.
DBama? Not so much.
Defending Freedom is a Choice
In April 2009 in Strasbourg, France, President Barack Obama was asked at a press conference if he “subscribe[d], as many of your predecessors have, to the school of American exceptionalism that sees America as uniquely qualified to lead the world, or do you have a slightly different philosophy?” President Obama then responded: “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.”
The United States, which already has tied Israel’s agreeing to Palestinian Authority demands with solving the Iranian nuclear threat, now cites Israel’s nuclear arsenal as the key.
Honestly, I wish reporters wouldn’t use the term “US” when talking about such stupidity. They should actually say “US’s Obama administration”, because in reality, these actions do NOT reflect the sentiment of the MAJORITY of US citizens.
Ellen Tauscher, U.S. Undersecretary of State for arms control, was quoted by the London Guardian as saying last week, “The best chance we have to achieve a WMD-free zone in the Middle East is to reach an agreement on a lasting and just peace in the Middle East.” A proposal for a ban on mass destruction weapons in the Middle East is being circulated by the Obama administration and Russia.
The best chance for a peace in the Middle East is NOT tying Israel’s hands. The best chance is sending the evil Islamonazis to hell, where they belong!
Cairo also is using its “Israel card” to refuse to participate in the chemical weapons convention, arguing that Israel first must sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT).
Yeah, cuz Egypt has been such a promoter of peace, eh? /snark Perhaps, if all these assjacks, who are blaming one tiny little nation, who only wants to protect it’s people, and survive as a nation, would looks towards themselves, and realize, it’s not Israel that is the problem, but themselves, maybe….just MAYBE, there could be some sort of peace.
Israel’s “ambiguity” policy does not admit or confirm that it has nuclear weapons. It has declined to sign the NPT, which would require opening up state secrets on nuclear capability.
Nor should they! No sane nation reveals it’s security secrets. (Obviously, the US is no longer run by sane, rational people.)
The United Nations this week opened its NPT conference and heard Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad charge, “The Zionist regime continues to threaten the countries of the Middle East with its arsenal. It continues to threaten the world’s countries with acts of terror and invasion, and even gets the necessary assistance for its nuclear program.”
This, from the pig who wants to wipe Israel off the map. It’s embarrassing the US State Department even allowed this POS into the country, so he could spew his bilge. I’m not aware of any threats Israel has made towards anyone, other than those who try to destroy them, and that’s in self defense.
An American-inspired Middle East peace, with Israel at the core, remains in the background of the official statements. Besides the Russian-American proposal, Egypt’s position paper calls for countries signing the non-proliferation treaty “to disclose all information available to them on the nature and scope of Israeli nuclear capabilities, including information pertaining to previous nuclear transfers to Israel.”
Seriously, I can’t figure out why any rational human being would see Israel as a ‘threat’. Why is it that Israel is suppose to comply with the anti-Semetic UN, when no one else does? Look at the map, and tell me who is a bigger threat to whom.
Pincus noted, “How the Obama administration deals with the nettlesome problem of Israel’s nuclear arsenal and the establishment of a nuclear-weapons-free zone in the Middle East will determine U.S. success or failure at the NPT conference.” [source]
Nettlesome? A tiny nation that just wants to survive is ‘nettlesome’? All I can say to that, is…..
A 30-year-old American immigrant from Pakistan was taken off a plane bound for Dubai late Monday at John F. Kennedy International Airport and arrested in connection with a failed attempt to detonate a car bomb in Times Square, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced.
Authorities said Faisal Shahzad of Shelton, Conn., had paid cash for a Nissan Pathfinder that was found packed with explosives Saturday night on a tourist-crowded block in Midtown Manhattan. The vehicle was set ablaze but failed to detonate.
Officials located Shahzad after a sweeping two-day investigation that yielded what senior Obama administration officials described as a flood of international and domestic clues suggesting a plot involving more than one person.
