Feds Issue Terror Watch for the Texas/Mexico Border
The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com.
The warning follows an indictment unsealed this month in Texas federal court that accuses a Somali man in Texas of running a “large-scale smuggling enterprise” responsible for bringing hundreds of Somalis from Brazil through South America and eventually across the Mexican border. Many of the illegal immigrants, who court records say were given fake IDs, are alleged to have ties to other now-defunct Somalian terror organizations that have merged with active organizations like Al Shabaab, al-Barakat and Al-Ittihad Al-Islami.
Well, way to go feds! Since y’all haven’t been bothered to enforce your own laws, you’ve left the borders wide open for YEARS! You might as well have invited every criminal, terrorist and low life scum sucker (but I repeat myself) right on in. And now, you’ve decided to issue a warning? How nice of you.

TV Show Host Art Linkletter Passes Away
Art Linkletter, who hosted the popular TV shows “People Are Funny” and “House Party” in the 1950s and 1960s, has died. He was 97.

Franklin, the UFC fighter, says he doesn’t know if God cared if he knocked out Travis “The Serial Killer” Lutter in Montreal, Canada. But “it doesn’t hurt to ask.”
“Win or lose, I always thank God for what he’s given me,” says Franklin, an evangelical Christian.
Franklin says he thanks God after victories because he has felt God’s presence in the midst of mixed martial arts battle.

They are selling their goodness, and their brand of faith, to a captive audience, says Baker, who describes himself as a Christian.

Well, I guess it just proves that some folks haven’t bothered to read the Book. Kind of like they pass judgments on bills they haven’t read.

A Crisis of Competence in the Gulf

“Let’s be clear: Every day that this oil sits is one more day that more of our marsh dies,” Gov. Bobby Jindal (LA) said Monday. “We’ve been frustrated with the disjointed effort to date that has too often meant too little, too late for the oil hitting our coast,” he continued. Specifically, Jindal is frustrated by the failure of the federal government to produce the 8 million feet of oil-blocking booms it asked for back on May 2nd and 3rd. So far Louisiana has only received 815,000 feet of boom, and even then the federal government has failed to place it in the correct locations.
Worse, Obama administration regulators continue to deny Louisiana officials permission to build up barrier islands between the coast’s marshes and the gulf. Federal regulators have so far refused to permit the state to act, fearing the unintended long-term damage to local wildlife. So instead of action, the oil continues to float on shore threatening the livelihoods of millions of Louisianans.

Drooling
While we were in Charlotte, gawking at the many lovely ‘toys’, I happened across a certain booth, and immediately started drooling over the most beautiful bit of artwork. I came across the card today, looked up the website, and found it!
Is that purdy or WHUT! Yeah, and it’s got a mite purdy price tag, too! Yep….that sucker is going to live in my dreams, cuz it sure won’t be making an appearance in my collection! Well, unless I win the lottery or some such other fantasy.

Obamas to spend long holiday weekend in Chicago
President Barack Obama plans to spend a long holiday weekend in Chicago.
The White House says Obama and his family will travel to their hometown on Thursday and stay through the weekend. It will be their first trip back home since a visit for Valentine’s Day weekend in February 2009.
On Monday, Obama is scheduled to participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.
In Obama’s absence, Vice President Joe Biden will participate in the customary wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington.
With D’Bama’s numbers dropping, his decision to bypass honoring our fallen heroes at Arlington Cemetery, sending in his stead, the gaffe king……. Yeah….that makes a whole lot of sense there dud….er….dude.

Obama to send 1,200 troops to US-Mexico border
President Barack Obama will send 1,200 National Guard troops to boost security along the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said Tuesday, pre-empting Republican plans to try to force votes on such a deployment.
Obama will also request $500 million for border protection and law enforcement activities, according to lawmakers and administration officials. The moves come as chances for action on comprehensive immigration reform, Obama’s long-stated goal, look increasingly small in this election year. But Obama is under pressure to do something with the issue front and center after Arizona’s passage of a tough crackdown law.
The National Guard troops will work on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, analysis and training, and support efforts to block drug trafficking. They will temporarily supplement border patrol agents until Customs and Border Protection can recruit and train additional officers and agents to serve on the border, an administration official said.

Earlier this month while in Brussels, Vice President Joe Biden told the European Parliament that while “some American politicians and American journalists refer to Washington, DC as the ‘capital of the free world’ … it seems to me that this great city, which boasts 1,000 years of history and which serves as the capital of Belgium, the home of the European Union, and the headquarters for NATO, this city has its own legitimate claim to that title.” How revealing.
The European Union is a profoundly anti-democratic institution, created and forced on member states by internationalist leftist elites despite widespread public disapproval. It should be no surprise that the same administration that can’t bring itself to enforce our laws and protect our borders would give such strong support to an institution that has so undermined national sovereignty in Europe. And given that the EU’s unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy employs more people than the entire British Army it is no wonder that NATO member nations have been unwilling/unable to pull their weight in the Long War.

Obama Call for ‘International Order’ Raises Questions About U.S. Sovereignty
President Obama is facing criticism for his declaration over the weekend that he would seek a new “international order,” with some questioning how much U.S. sovereignty the administration is willing to cede in exchange for more global cooperation.
This man-boy doesn’t give a flip about this country. He is more than willing to destroy it, and in just the short time we have been cursed with him in the White House, he’s been succeeding more than I ever thought possible.
Obama, delivering the commencement speech Saturday at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, said that “stronger international standards and institutions” and stronger alliances can “resolve” challenges ranging from terrorism to nuclear proliferation to climate change to economic decline.
Of all the places for him to push his One World agenda? I find it appalling that West Point, where some of the greatest military minds have walked the halls, would even allow that appeasing chicken sh*t in the door, much less address the graduates. Did they have a choice? Could they have said no?
“Our adversaries would like to see America sap its strength by overextending our power,” Obama said. “So we have to shape an international order that can meet the challenges of our generation.”
We don’t have any power anymore, thanks to him. He’s bankrupting the country! He’s sold it to the highest bidder, and us into slavery to foreign powers. Has anyone counted how many times he said “international”? I’m quite curious.
The president added that efforts by America’s armed forces need to be “complemented” with greater diplomatic engagement “from grand capitals to dangerous outposts,” more humanitarian assistance to needy nations, better communications among intelligence agencies, first responders to act after earthquakes, storms and disease and “law enforcement that can strengthen judicial systems abroad, and protect us at home.”
His concern for other countries is touching. (insert massive sarcasm here) His lack of concern for the citizens in this one…??? We don’t count. When he talked of ‘redistribution of wealth’, he didn’t mean to Americans. He meant to any country hell bent on destroying this one. If he was so concerned about the protection of “us at home”, why isn’t he concerned about the millions sneaking across our southern border? 20% of whom have criminal records! Why does he refuse to enforce FEDERAL law?
“He thinks diminished American power and independence in the world actually is a force for good,” Carafano said.

The men and women who fought to preserve the Constitution, those who died to protect our sovereignty are no longer held in honor. With Obama’s New World, they’ll become nothing more than a footnote in the annals of history.
