A Few Items Worth Reading Today
I’m having a Monday. Actually, it seems that the “Monday mentality” has been invading for a while now. The further into the D’Bama administration we get, with the politicians in D.C. working very hard to destroy this country, I’m finding it more and more difficult to express an opinion on the most important issues of the day. After a while, a person runs out of ways to say “THEY ALL SUCK!”
It’s actually more serious than that. It’s not just that they suck, I’m actually starting to believe they are down right evil. Spawn of Satan! When you get a small number of people, creating such massive bureaucracies in order to control every aspect of your life, with the express intent of destroying a once great nation, I can think of no other explanation.
Energy Policy? What Energy Policy?
The administration is bent on reducing access to national energy resources, coal, oil and natural gas, combined with a bizarre emphasis on “alternative” or “renewable” sources in the form of wind and solar energy. European nations that went this course ended up with fewer jobs, insufficient energy for the money invested, and massive fraud in its carbon credits exchanges.

Kimber charged that “KMJ programming is dominated by … talk hosts that are anti-government, anti-President Obama …” He went on to declare that this kind of talk “creates an atmosphere of divisiveness that allows for the real possibility of violence toward elected officials including the president of the United States.”
He offered no examples of this connection between critical talk and subsequent violence because there are none to offer – unless you attend one of the lectures given by radical imams.
During the Bush years, criticism and dissent were “patriotic.” Today, the left embraces its inner censor.
But what did the “loss” of Daniel Pearl mean? Well, says the president, it was “one of those moments that captured the world’s imagination.” Really? Evidently, it never captured Mr. Obama’s imagination, because if it had, he never could have uttered anything so fatuous. He seems literally unable to imagine Pearl’s fate, and so, cruising on autopilot, he reaches for the all-purpose bromides of therapeutic sedation: “one of those moments” – you know, like Princess Di’s wedding, Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction, whatever – “that captured the world’s imagination.”

But then, social-welfare systems were actually affordable for a while when the U.S. a) was reconstructing their countries with the Marshall Plan and b) providing American troops and U.S. nukes to shield Europe from the hungry Soviet bear throughout the eighties and nineties. Hey — it’s easy to be a “lifestyle superpower” when you don’t have anything better to do:
Europeans have benefited from low military spending, protected by NATO and the American nuclear umbrella. They have also translated higher taxes into a cradle-to-grave safety net. “The Europe that protects” is a slogan of the European Union.
But all over Europe governments with big budgets, falling tax revenues and aging populations are experiencing rising deficits, with more bad news ahead.
Is it just me, or does anyone else see, not just the U.S., but the entire world, standing on the brink of insanity?

But don’t worry, President Obama has appointed a debt commission to solve the problem. Our nation’s southern border has degenerated into a violent, lawless and lethal zone. But don’t worry, Congress wants to empower a new commission to control the problem. And millions of Americans don’t know whether or not their health plan will be exempted from Obamacare. But don’t worry, faceless bureaucrats at the Department of Health and Human Services are already hard at work determining whether or not you will be allowed to keep your current health insurance.

Imam: All Muslims in US army must shoot fellow troops
Radical Imam Anwar al-Yemeni Aulaqi called on all Muslims enlisted in the US military to follow the example of Commander Nidal Hassan, who killed 13 soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009.
Aulaqi said in a video message that Hassan’s act was “heroic” and that the commander of Palestinian origin was merely “defending his people.”
We use to be a melting pot. People came here from all over the world, “yearning to be free”. People from certain parts of the world would congregate together in neighborhoods in the larger cities, but they’d assimilate eventually, and become Americans. This is no longer the case. Many cultures and religions segregate themselves, and even work hard to change the rest of the country to their culture, or way of thinking. If you don’t, then you’re intolerant, a racist, a bigot, a nazi, and the list goes on. It is past time to stand up against such people.
For OUR safety and well being, for our very survival, we MUST put a stop to many things. Call me intolerant, but unless we want to see more Ft Hood massacres, it would be a good idea to prevent Muslims from joining our military. I fear for their safety, on what should be the safest places in the country, our military are “sitting ducks“, thanks to liberal policies.
It wasn’t all that long ago, I had no problem with Muslims in the military, or anywhere else for that matter. Now, I do. I have BIG problems. I do not believe it is a ‘religion of peace’, as so many have tried to convince us. There is nothing peaceful about the equivalent of Muslims ministers calling for the murder of innocents, military or otherwise. If my pastor stood up behind the pulpit of my church and called for the killing of anyone, he’d be behind bars in a heartbeat. Yet every day, there are imams, around the world, and right here in the U.S., who do just that!
The Constitution, reiterates our rights, granted from God. The 1st Amendment guarantees our OF religion, to worship in the manner of our choosing, yet when the manner in which you choose to worship calls for the slaughter of those who do not worship the same way, then it can no longer be tolerated in a free society.

In the last few years, Muslims are no longer using stealth methods. With individuals, corporations, and even our own government (elected officials) kowtowing to the whims of a few, it’s become an all out infection. We don’t have the luxury of being tolerant anymore. Lives depends on our taking a stand.
I believe in God. I believe Jesus is God, who came to earth in human form as His Son. I believe He died for my sins. I believe in the Spirit, who is God. I believe than one day, in what doesn’t seem to be too far in the future, Jesus will return to earth to reign. I believe the Jews are God’s chosen people. As a believer in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, I stand with Israel.
I do NOT believe an idol worshiping pedophile is good for my soul.

Having placed 50 percent of America’s economy under government control, the Obama administration is now angling for a tighter grip on the financial sector.
The operative word is “fairness,” which is shorthand for Obama’s famous campaign promise to “spread the wealth around.”
When critics said that this remark to “Joe the Plumber” displayed Obama’s socialist leanings, Obama justified it by citing Scripture:
“My Bible tells me there is nothing wrong with helping other people,” said then-Sen. Obama. “That we want to treat others like we want to be treated. That I am my brother’s keeper, and I am my sister’s keeper. I believe that.”
But Obama, who once dismissed the Bible’s relevance to politics, saying, “People haven’t been reading their Bibles lately,” may need to go reread his Engels. Co-author with Karl Marx of The Communist Manifesto, Friedrich Engels knew better than Obama about collectivism’s clash with Christianity, stating, “…if some few passages of the Bible may be favourable to Communism, the general spirit of its doctrines is, nevertheless, totally opposed to it ….”

Carter County Fish Hatchery a Flop Among Republicans
House Speaker Kent Williams says a $16.9 million trout hatchery in his home district would help boost the local economy, but lawmakers who live nearby think the idea sounds a little fishy.
Calling it “fish pork,” several legislators in Upper East Tennessee districts say there is no space in the state budget to fund special projects during tight economic times. Building a fish hatchery in Carter County is simply a pet project for the independent Speaker of the House of Representatives that he’ll then use to bait voters come election time, Williams’ rivals in the chamber charge.
It’s a move they say will leave cash-strapped Tennessee taxpayers on the hook to pay the tab.
“We have lots of fish farms in East Tennessee. They’re called rivers and lakes and streams,” said Rep. Jon Lundberg, a Bristol Republican who neighbors Williams’ district. “We don’t need to spend $16 million on, truly, a version of fish ‘pork.’”
What is the matter with these people??? Are they completely out of their minds? Here’s a novel thought….how about NOT adding more into the budget on crap that isn’t needed? Government, federal, state and local, seem to be incapable of using a bit of common sense. If Williams wants a fish hatchery in his county, why not encourage PRIVATE companies to invest in such an enterprise?
“Why shouldn’t Carter County and upper East Tennessee just get just a little chunk?” said Williams, who added that other areas have benefited from economic developments when the state attracted companies like Volkswagon or Hemlock Semiconductor.
He can’t be serious….. can he? Williams can’t tell the difference between a large car company, that provides hundreds of job, and a flippin’ trout?

Uncouth President Calderon wore out his welcome

Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon ought to know a lot about illegal immigrant abuse. His country has one of the worst migrant human-rights records in the world.
During his state visit last week, Mr. Calderon repeatedly – and with support and encouragement from the White House and congressional Democrats – made his opinions known on a variety of American domestic issues, including immigration and gun control. He took particular aim at Arizona’s new law concerning illegal aliens, absurdly describing it as “violating the human rights of all people.”

Now that we are repeating history, isn’t it time we learn how to prevent the same problems? One thing EVERYONE should read, is a post P/H put up June of last year. The revisionists on the Supreme Court started us on the path to radically change our history and our future. This is why Supreme Court nominees are SO important. Changing our Constitution is NOT the job of the Justices, yet they have done it time and time again. Personal agendas have been shoved down the throats of the American people, with no authority to do so. We MUST return to it to its original intent.
Spend a few hours…yes, I said HOURS, days even…..reading Publius-Huldah’s Blog. If you want to learn about original intent, how the government has forgotten where they get their powers, what is, and is not true, about our founding. This is one of the best resources available, IF you want the truth about ‘health care’ to treaties. Well, researched! She doesn’t post often, but what she does have posted will, quite possibly, make your head explode in anger. The “progressives” of the early 20th century have brought us to the sorry state we are in now. Arm yourself with knowledge! And for you “progressives”, try to insert a bit of common sense into your lives!

Tenn. tea party won’t drop speaker for Islam views
Tea party organizers will not drop a speaker from a Tennessee convention this weekend despite calls from a national Muslim rights group that considers her anti-Islamic.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations had urged that Pamela Geller be cut from the Tennessee Tea Party Convention in Gatlinburg over her views on Muslims. Washington-based CAIR said in a release Thursday that it objects to Pamela Geller’s presentation titled “The Threat of Islam.”
If I could have gone this weekend, she would be one of the reasons I would have been there! I have an idea! How about the Tea Parties demand Muslims not allow their Imans to speak, just in case he says something offensive, to Christians, Jews, or the dog on the corner? Would that work? Of course not! So why the HELL should a group of people, who believe so strongly in the U.S. Constitution and most importantly, the 1st Amendment, bow to a bunch of jihadists? No, I don’t bloody well think so!
