Silencing The “Masses”
Obama and the “Internet Kill Switch!”
by J.D. Longstreet
WE saw this coming years ago and warned that if Obama was elected he and the Socialist/Democrats would make a strong effort to take over the Internet
Well, recently, a US. Senate Panel approved an Internet “Kill Switch” for Obama. The so-called “kill switch” gives the President the power to “turn off the Internet.”
A sponsor of the bill was heard to say that the ChiCom (Chinese Communist) had that power in their country, and he felt the US government needed that same power, as well.
It seems to have, somehow, escaped the notice of those who pushed this abomination of a bill through the senate panel that China is a communist nation. A dictatorship.

Well, you can’t say you weren’t warned! It’s a real shame 52% of the American people didn’t listen. They’ve got a taste for blood now, and are circling, like the sharks they are, led by the Great White. Ok, so he’s not exactly white, but you get the idea. This Congress, headed by this particular head clown, has totally ignored the Constitution and turned it into toilet paper.
There are millions of people who are finally waking up. This isn’t about security. This is all about control. Control of YOU!
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

How better to silence ‘people of good conscience’ than to take away their voice?

The Dodd-Frank Assault on Economic Recovery
The Foundry
Following the release of the 2,000-page Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill last Friday, fixed-income portfolio manager Christine McConnell told Businessweek: “Clarity is good. [Once financial institutions] understand the rules of the road they’ll be able to accommodate their business models.” There is only one problem: passage of the Dodd-Frank bill doesn’t provide any clarity. In fact, it does the exact opposite. The New York Times explains: “The bill, completed early Friday and expected to come up for a final vote this week, is basically a 2,000-page missive to federal agencies, instructing regulators to address subjects ranging from derivatives trading to document retention. But it is notably short on specifics, giving regulators significant power to determine its impact.”

Thank You, Gov. Bredesen!
Governor signs immigration bill
Gov. Phil Bredesen signed a bill Monday that calls on local jailers to report people whose immigration status they cannot verify, rejecting calls to veto the measure.
I, for one, am grateful the Governor did NOT bow to the ACLU, and other pro-illegal criminal groups! However, I’d really like to know why The Tennessean calls it an “immigration bill”. It’s not about immigration, it’s about ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS. You’d think an company that supposedly reports news would know the difference.

High Court’s Big Ruling For Gun Rights
In its second major ruling on gun rights in three years, the Supreme Court Monday extended the federally protected right to keep and bear arms to all 50 states. The decision will be hailed by gun rights advocates and comes over the opposition of gun control groups, the city of Chicago and four justices.
Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the five justice majority saying “the right to keep and bear arms must be regarded as a substantive guarantee, not a prohibition that could be ignored so long as the States legislated in an evenhanded manner.”
The ruling builds upon the Court’s 2008 decision in D.C. v. Heller that invalidated the handgun ban in the nation’s capital. More importantly, that decision held that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was a right the Founders specifically delegated to individuals. The justices affirmed that decision and extended its reach to the 50 states. Today’s ruling also invalidates Chicago’s handgun ban.
In other words, they upheld the U.S. Constitution….like they are SUPPOSE to do! And I can hear the anti-Constitutional libtards heads exploding all over the country!
Kagan: Wrong For The Supreme Court
Will Elena Kagan Defend the Rule of Law?
The Foundry
The Senate Judiciary Committee will begin its hearing today on the nomination of Elena Kagan to be the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Kagan is no stranger to the confirmation process; in fact, she devoted one of her few academic writings entirely to the subject, writing:
The Senate’s consideration of a nominee, and particularly the Senate’s confirmation hearings, ought to focus on substantive issues; the Senate ought to view the hearings as an opportunity to gain knowledge and promote public understanding of what the nominee believes the Court should do and how she would affect its conduct.
Kagan’s law review article specifically criticized recent confirmation hearings as “a vapid and hollow charade, in which repetition of platitudes has replaced discussion of viewpoints and personal anecdotes have supplanted legal analysis.” Instead, Kagan advocated that senators insist “on seeing how theory works in practice by evoking a nominee’s comments on particular issues – involving privacy rights, free speech, race and gender discrimination, and so forth – that the Court regularly faces.” Kagan even suggested that nominees with thin records (and Kagan’s record can definitely be considered “thin,” since she has no judicial experience, few academic writings, and virtually no litigation experience prior to her current post as Solicitor General), should face a heavier burden when answering senators’ questions. So what “substantive issues” should senators press Kagan on to see how her “theory works in practice”?
Legislating By Executive Order
Is Obama Abusing the President’s Executive Order Privilege?
by J. D. Longstreet
Is Obama using the executive order to legislate, or make law, from the Oval Office — therefore circumventing the Congress? That is a good question and one that has been put to me a number of times recently by close friends. I must admit, as well, to a grave concern on my part about the seeming way Obama appears to be legislating from the Oval Office.
It has become apparent to many Americans that Congress needs to take a closer look, to evaluate, a number of executive orders by Obama.
Before you get your knickers in a knot, understand that we are living in extremely precarious times here, in America, under the socialist yoke of the Obama Regime.
See, the plain truth is — the only basis in the Constitution for an executive order is in Article II, Section 1:
“The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.”
and Article II, Section 3:
“He [the President] shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”
Some of you may remember that the Supreme Court ruled that President Truman’s 1952 order to “nationalize” all the steel mills in the US, by placing them under federal control, was invalid because, according to the Court, it was an attempt to make law.
It has become clear that President Obama is ruling more as a king than a president and if the American people do not insist that Congress put the quietus on his executive order proclamations — the US is in serious danger of losing our constitutional republic and once again becoming a people ruled by a king and a would-be dictator.

It would be so nice if there was anything positive to say about this man-child. Honestly, I’ve tried. He plays basketball well? Ok, that would be nice to say, but I don’t give a flip if he’s an NBA All-Star. I suppose I could say he’s “articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy“, but I don’t find him all that articulate when he’s sans teleprompter, I suppose he might be bright, I don’t know his bathing habits, and I’ve never found him particularly nice looking. I DO, however, find him to be an extreme detriment to this country. He surrounds himself with dangerous people, the criminal sort who are either pulling his strings, or doing his bidding. Either way, none of them are good for this country.
Evil must be destroyed, because Evil is THE destroyer. It builds nothing, it creates nothing. No longer is this country being dismantled, brick by brick. The wrecking ball is in full swing, and must be stopped at all costs.
Robert Byrd
Robert Byrd, Longest-Serving U.S. Senator, Dies at 92
Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the longest-serving senator in American history, died Monday at the age of 92, a spokesman for the family said.
Byrd, a Democrat who served in the U.S. Senate since 1959, had been plagued by health problems in recent years and was confined to a wheelchair. He had skipped several votes in Congress in the past months.
Jesse Jacobs, a family spokesman, said Byrd died peacefully at about 3 a.m. at Inova Hospital in Fairfax, Va.
He was the oldest member of the 111th Congress.
West Virginia’s Democratic Senator Robert Byrd was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s, rising to the title of Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of his local chapter. After leaving the group, Byrd spoke in favor of the Klan during his early political career. Though he claimed to have left the organization in 1943, Byrd wrote a letter in 1946 to the group’s Imperial Wizard stating “The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia.” Byrd defended the Klan in his 1958 U.S. Senate campaign when he was 41 years old.[9]
Despite being the only Senator to vote against both African American U.S. Supreme Court nominees (liberal Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas) and filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Byrd has since said joining the Klan was his “greatest mistake.” The NAACP, at one time, gave him a 100% rating on their issues. However, in a 2001 incident Byrd repeatedly used the phrase “white niggers” on a national television broadcast. (source)
Not being a fan of Byrd’s, I will wish him rest in the next world, and I will pray for the family.
I hate to say it, but the man had no business staying in the Senate as long as he did. He’s a perfect example of why we need term limits for both Houses of Congress. In reality, he should have been voted out a long time ago.
His death could have one, immediate impact — decreasing the chances of the Senate voting on the financial regulatory bill this week. Senate Democrats have only a razor-thin margin for passing the bill, final language on which the Senate and House agreed to last week. It remains unclear whether Senate Democrats have the 60 votes needed to fend off any Republican efforts to block voting on the measure. (source)
Only if those four RINOs (Brown, Snowe, Grassley, Collins) consider the long term impact of this bill, and change to a ‘NO’, there might be hope it will go down in flames. They need to read the Constitution.
Let’s ALL Fail Together!
Recovery means no ‘undue’ edge for nations: Obama
US President Barack Obama on Sunday said that countries must not have any “undue advantage” if the world is to build a strong and durable economic recovery.
“A strong and durable recovery also requires countries not having an undue advantage,” Obama told journalists at the end of G20 talks in Canada.
“So we also discussed the need for currencies that are market-driven,” he added, welcoming China’s decision to let its yuan float more freely against the dollar.
Oh yeah. That makes BOATLOADS of sense. /sarcasm
Take away any human incentive to succeed, so all the world’s citizens, especially Americans, can be failures. Under the thumb of a select few, of course. If he wasn’t so dangerous, D’Bama would be a major joke!
A Note To Congress:
GO HOME!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you need to pack your bags, box up all your stuff, and go home. Be sure to notify all your aids, etc., that they, too, need to be packing as well. While you’re at it, make sure all your big time, overpaid, lobbyist friends are aware their efforts will be useless, and their companies might as well save their money, and pass those savings along to their consumers.
You see, WE, The People, are fed up. Not just fed up, but angry. We have been betrayed by your constant interference in our lives, and we don’t like it. We have a four page document that states our case quite well. A document all of you took an oath to uphold and defend. You are doing neither. I question whether or not many of you have even read said document, considering your actions in recent years. It is not a ‘living, breathing, document’. It was written as a protection against tyranny, and you have failed to stand strong. You have invited, encouraged, and enabled tyranny, so your services are no longer required, or desired.
Oh, it’s not just this particular Congress. Many of your predecessors are just as guilty of negligence as you are; however, at least they had the good sense NOT to continue force feeding communism down our throats, as you are wont to do.
While you are packing, would you please send word to the White House that the current occupant is no longer desired in the role of President of the United States? Nor do we desire his lapdog, the Vice President, to step into that role. They have both become embarrassments to people of this nation, and their shenanigans must come to an end. We find the man-child’s disdain for the American people more than a little disturbing.
We are taking our country back, and RESTORING it to it’s original founding, based on Judeo-Christian values, and the Constitution of the United States. We’ve seen your ‘change’, and we don’t like it at all.
To those who did their best to stand up for the legal residents of the nation, we thank you. To those who consider us as peasants, as nothing more than the means for your paychecks and big spending, you can all be grateful we aren’t standing at your doors with pitchforks, tar and feathers.
Sincerely,
WE, THE PEOPLE

Obama calls for bank tax as next step in reform
Obama wants to slap a 0.15 percent tax on the liabilities of the biggest U.S. financial institutions to recoup the costs to taxpayers of the financial bailout.
“We need to impose a fee on the banks that were the biggest beneficiaries of taxpayer assistance at the height of our financial crisis — so we can recover every dime of taxpayer money,” Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address.
That child needs to be sent packing, and SOON! We can’t afford any more of his ‘bright’ ideas! Who does this idiot think is going to pay that tax? The banks? Get a grip! It’ll be passed along to the consumers just as every other tax on a business is. He damn sure knows NOTHING about how businesses work, does he!
