What a Sack of Sacrosanct
by Ann Coulter

In The New York Times’ profile on the family of Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, her aunt was quoted as saying: “There was thinking, always thinking” at the family’s dinner table. “Nothing was sacrosanct.”

Really? Nothing was sacrosanct? Because in my experience, on a scale of 1-to-infinity, the range of acceptable opinion among New York liberals goes from 1-to-1.001.

How would the following remarks fare at a dinner table on the Upper West Side where “nothing was sacrosanct”:

Hey, maybe that Joe McCarthy was onto something. What would prayer in the schools really hurt? How do we know gays are born that way? Is it possible that union demands have gone too far? Does it make sense to have three recycling bins in these microscopic Manhattan apartments? Say, has anyone read Charles Murray’s latest book?

Waiting for the Clown in Chief to confirm that McCrystal has been replaced by Gen. Pretraeus. Karzai didn’t want McChrystal canned, but now “respects’ D’Bama’s decision.

Yep….there he is. Accepted the resignation. Regret. Right thing. Pretraeus in. Not about the article. Pfft! It’s always about D’Bama….no matter the subject. A third grade Christmas play becomes all about him.

Yeah yeah…..And NO military person should ever talk to the media.

And after being interrupted by the hospital calling to see how I’m doing….

I don’t know why he ‘talks tough’. We all know he’s NOT a leader. I’m thinking that instead of letting Gen. McCrystal go, he should have learned from the comments that were made, get nose out of the air, and the stick out of his butt….or cut those puppet strings. Hmmm… come to think of it, he’d fall even flatter if he didn’t have someone (Soros & Co?) pulling his strings. I’m finding his words about ‘national security’ to be extremely hollow.

Just a thought.  how about giving the military what they need to actually beat the crap out the enemy, and get rid of some of those absurd ROE!

Just a Thought

23 June 2010, 8:54 am. 2 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

Yesterday, while driving back from the ER, I was listening to a discussion about whether or not McChrystal should step down, or get fired. Interesting comments from the callers, and some obviously were vicious, and down right ignorant, but one guy was talking about respect of your superiors. That got me to thinking. That’s all well and good, but most superiors actually EARN respect. Some have it, then lose it through actions. INMO, the current occupant has never earned the respect of the military.

When Watergate broke, the American people lost confidence in Nixon, and that was just a break in, about which he lied. It appears the majority of Americans lost confidence in Obama, including many who voted for him, lost confidence not long after he took the oath (which he has not upheld). Nixon had the common decency to resign.

Now, we’re just waiting to find out who comes out on top.  While I believe anyone in a position of power doing an interview with Rolling Stone, especially perceived conservative or military personnel, has a screw lose, I happen to agree with the comments made. At least the ones I’ve heard about. That being said, the ‘inner circle’ should have kept their opinions to themselves, at least until after they left the service.

By the way, I don’t give a crap about ‘the hearts and minds’ of the enemy!

Obama’s Leadership Vacuum
The Foundry

More than two years ago, then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton launched a campaign ad that took direct aim at Senator Barack Obama’s inexperience. It painted the picture of a telephone ringing in the White House at 3 a.m. and asked the question, when there is a crisis in the world and your children are safe and asleep, “Who do you want answering the phone?”

Now, two years later, there are several crises confronting America, that telephone is ringing, and President Obama isn’t quite sure what to do about it.

Can’t Sleep

23 June 2010, 1:46 am. 14 Comments. Filed under Health Care, Just Cuz.

I thought painkillers were suppose to knock you out!  And it’s not like I’m in any serious pain, just a very sore shoulder where Nurse Ratchet stabbed my bone with a 6 inch stilletto!  :?

Actually, I can’t feel my finger at all right now.  It’s like the lidocaine forgot to wear off. Oh, if I whack where the stitches are, I can feel it….sorta, but not to the extent I would have thought. Maybe the nerves are just asleep in self defense. The tip feels more like a dead hairless mouse.  Don’t ask!  And since I can’t feel it, I also can’t feel when the stupid bandage slides off.

Hmm….kind of looks like a weird finger puppet. Ok, yes, I am sorta of drugged. Hush.  Believe me, it hurt a lot more than what it looks now….and yes, I am definitely a wuss!  :P

This was an entirely new experience for me. I’ve had stitches before, but I was always unconscious, like during surgery. After she stabbed me with the lidocaine,t numbed up a bit, the sadist pulled the skin open. I have a bone in there! One I was particularly anxious to see. Kind of gross, looking inside your own finger.

One positive thing comes from not being able to sleep. I finished another book. :) “One Second After”. Not a bad book, but unfortunately, a fiction that could easily become reality. How unprepared are we for an EMP? Anyway, if you want a decent book to add to your summer reads, this one isn’t half bad.

Yep!  This six fingered typing is serious work.  Only too me 40 minutes to type out should have taken no more than four or five.  Good thing I didn’t have anything important to say.  Would have lost my train of thought a long time ago.

At least for a couple of days.  3 stitches and one painful tetanus shot later, I’m back from the ER!  It’s amazing just how much a right handed person uses their left pointy finger.  :?   Cat food can lids sure do make for a LOT of blood!

Now…where are those drugs!?!?

Time to Dump the Afghanistan Timeline
The Foundry

The Washington Post reports today that Gen. Stanley McChrystal, U.S. commander in Afghanistan, apologized for an upcoming article in Rolling Stone magazine that portrays him and senior officials on his team as dismissive of top Obama administration officials. As a result, General McChrystal has been summoned to the White House to explain his comments. It is a case of poor judgment on the part of the general and his staff to air comments on the character of senior civilian leaders to a reporter, but both the White House and the brass need to put this media gaff aside and focus on the real problem – destroying al Qaeda, defeating the Taliban and helping establish an Afghanistan that can govern itself.

Veto urged of bill requiring notice of immigrant status

The American Civil Liberties Union called on Gov. Phil Bredesen Monday to veto a bill that requires Tennessee jailers to notify federal authorities of the arrest of any person found to be in the U.S. illegally or whose status cannot be determined.

The ACLU of Tennessee charged that the bill — sponsored by two West Tennessee lawmakers and one of the most contentious measures of the 2009-10 legislative sessions — effectively requires people to carry immigration documentation at all times.

So, the ACLU aids and abets criminals? Because that’s exactly what they are….criminals! I thought these yahoos were suppose to be lawyers.  Do they not know the law?

United States Code: TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VII > § 1304

(e) Personal possession of registration or receipt card; penalties
Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.

The people aren’t asking for a whole lot, just enforcement of the LAW.  Is it really so difficult to comprehend?  The bill is quite simple, only one page:

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, relative to certain arrested persons.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 40, Chapter 7, Part 1, is amended by adding a new section thereto:
§ 40-7-123.
When a person is arrested for any offense and is confined, for any period, in the jail of the county or any municipality, a reasonable effort to review documents in the possession of the prisoner shall be made to assess the citizenship status of the person so confined. If the keeper of the jail or other officer cannot determine the lawful status of the prisoner from the documents in the possession of the prisoner or if it is determined that the person is not lawfully present in the United States, pursuant to the federal Immigration and Naturalization Act, compiled in 8 U.S.C. § 1101 et seq., the keeper of the jail or other officer shall notify the United States department of homeland security by facsimile transmission or other appropriate means.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009, the public welfare requiring it.

Damn skippy the ‘public welfare’ requires it! We are fed up with illegals running roughshod over the country, and the  LEGAL citizens. I don’t give a flip where you came from, you damn sure better have followed the rules to get here! Otherwise, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!  If you don’t have legal documentation, proving that you came here LEGALLY, then you need to have your sorry ass sent home!  At YOUR expense!

I STRONGLY urge Gov. Bredesen NOT to veto this bill!  It was passed by a legislature that is doing what the LEGAL citizens of the state desire.  I’d also STRONGLY urge Gov. Bredesen to tell the ACLU to shove it where the sun don’t shine!

A Dark Future

Degeneration of Democracy
by Thomas Sowell

When Adolf Hitler was building up the Nazi movement in the 1920s, leading up to his taking power in the 1930s, he deliberately sought to activate people who did not normally pay much attention to politics. Such people were a valuable addition to his political base, since they were particularly susceptible to Hitler’s rhetoric and had far less basis for questioning his assumptions or his conclusions.

“Useful idiots” was the term supposedly coined by V.I. Lenin to describe similarly unthinking supporters of his dictatorship in the Soviet Union.

Put differently, a democracy needs informed citizens if it is to thrive, or ultimately even survive. In our times, American democracy is being dismantled, piece by piece, before our very eyes by the current administration in Washington, and few people seem to be concerned about it.

The president’s poll numbers are going down because increasing numbers of people disagree with particular policies of his, but the damage being done to the fundamental structure of this nation goes far beyond particular counterproductive policies.

Read the whole column here.

It is really difficult to express the revulsion I’ve been experiencing towards, not only the Obama administration, but the propaganda wing (MSNBC, etc.) and the still drooling Obama zombies.  In all my years on this planet, I don’t think I’ve ever been so disgusted and angry.  I’m at the point where I don’t believe a one of these people is an American….not a TRUE American, regardless of where they were born.  No real American would fight so hard to destroy what made this country great.  No honest American would use the U.S. Constitution as nothing more than toilet paper, and spit and the faces of We, The People.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

If we do not stop the downward spiral into darkness, we, as a nation, are truly lost, and the dream of America, the dream of freedom, is gone forever.

Shoot Him

American Pleads Guilty to Times Square Terror Plot

A Pakistan-born U.S. citizen pleaded guilty Monday to carrying out the failed Times Square car bombing, saying he wanted it known that unless the U.S. stops attacking Muslim lands, “we will be attacking U.S.”

Well, I say shoot him. He says he’s guilty, and I’m going to take his word for it, so why should taxpayers support that bag of useless bones for any length of time? Shoot him. One bullet, behind the ear.  Justice served.

Considering it was children the pig was targeting, perhaps there should be a little extra pain involved.  Knee caps and elbows.  Ok, make that 5 bullets.
