Country Music Legend Jimmy Dean Dies at 81
Jimmy Dean, a country music legend for his smash hit about a workingman hero, “Big Bad John,” and an entrepreneur known for his sausage brand, died on Sunday. He was 81.
Rest in peace.
Flag Day
Resolved, that the Flag of the thirteen United States shall be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the Union be thirteen stars, white on a blue field, representing a new constellation.
June 14, 1777
Congressional legislation designating that date as the national Flag Day was signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1949; the legislation also called upon the president to issue a flag day proclamation every year.
Cattle Guards
A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado. Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the “cattle” guards immediately!!
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten him out, Vice-President, Joe Biden, intervened with a request that…. before any “cattle” guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining.

Alabama governor blasts oil spill response leadership
Governor Bob Riley of Alabama said he was more frustrated with the Obama administration’s lack of coordination and unity of purpose than he was BP, the British energy giant blamed for the spill.
“You can’t have a committee making the decisions that are going to impact this entire coastal area,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union” program.
What is with D.C.? Are they really this incompetent? Why….yes…..yes….they are! Committees don’t solve problems. They create them. Now, get the hell out of the way, and let the problems solvers get to work!

South Carolina Pol Questions Dem Senate Candidate’s ‘Mental Status’
A South Carolina lawmaker on Sunday suggested that new Democratic Senate nominee Alvin Greene may be intellectually incapable of participating in the general election race.
State Rep. Todd Rutherford told Fox News that he went to Greene’s house to discuss with him how Greene succeeded last week in becoming the candidate to challenge Republican Sen. Jim DeMint in the November election, but he found it difficult to decipher an answer.
“About two questions into a conversation with him, it would become apparent that he is not probably fit to answer the questions befitting a Senate candidate,” Rutherford said. “If he was put into this, then it is a joke that is funny to all the rest of us, but he doesn’t get it — because I don’t know that his mental status is such that he can get it.”
From what I have seen, and read, about this young man, I too am questioning his capacity. Then again, I frequently question the mental status of today’s Democrats.

New Nail Gun, made by DeWALT.
It can drive a 16-D nail through a 2 X4 at 200 yards.
This makes construction a breeze,
you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.
Just get your wife to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back,
relax with a cold drink and when she has the board in the right place,
just fire away.
With the hundred round magazine
you can build the fence with a minimum of reloading.
After a day of fence building with the new DeWalt Rapid fire nail gun
the wife will not ask you to build or fix anything else, probably, ever again.

While Watching The Idjit Box…
Insanity! AND he wants to regulate your entire life, by executive order, no less. If only he’d stop flapping his gums, maybe he wouldn’t appear even more incompetent? Just a thought.
I’m starting to believe there is something in the water that is making people crazy!
The Tennessee floods brought many donations, through the generosity of ‘stars’ and everyday folks, but “Where is the money?“ Naturally, such a once in a century flood brings out the land grab folks.
I’m at the point that Iraq can blow itself up, and I won’t give a flip. Just bring our troops home, and leave Allah to sort it out! We’ve lost enough of our young men and women to animals who hate us. Don’t think this is an isolated incident! Any ‘religion’ that would advocate this, or this, or this, or this, isn’t worth the time and effort to defend. The whole lot of ‘em need to be bombed out of existence!
I wonder where Memphis ranks on corruption?
Personally, I think the lady is spot on! And she’s definitely not a weasel, like her opponent!
If both groups are ethnically the same, how is it ‘ethnic cleansing‘?
Continue prayers for those lost in Arkansas’ flash flood and their families.

BP Disaster Spills Over Into U.S.-England World Cup Rivalry
When the United States drew England last December as its opening round competition in the World Cup, it should have set the stage for a friendly rivalry of English superstars against American upstarts.
But the BP oil spill and the subsequent American outrage against one of Britain’s most prominent industrial giants has turned the match into somewhat of a proxy battle for the finger-pointing over the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history.
Seriously? It’s a freakin’ game, and honestly, it has NOTHING to do with the REAL world! The finger pointing is accomplishing nothing, so my advice….KNOCK IT OFF! As best I know, it was a damn accident, and until I find out otherwise, the only people who are to blame are the feckless weasel environazis who refuse to allow drilling at a reasonable depth…like 500 feet, instead of 5000….AND on land! There is plenty of oil to be had!
Tensions in both countries have flared over BP, injecting the soccer face-off with an added layer of competition. The opportunity for revenge and shin-kicking has not gone unnoticed.
For the love of pete. Stop behaving like spoiled children! I repeat….IT’S A FREAKIN’ GAME! Neither the American people, nor the British people, are to blame! Acting like this only makes the players look juvenile, and doesn’t do much for soccer’s image.
On the U.S. side, director Spike Lee — who’s been on the vanguard of outrage over the spill — reportedly told a gathering of New York bloggers the U.S. team should wear shirts that say “BP Sucks” on Saturday. A Facebook page calling for BP “payback” hopes against hope that “our boys will get some retribution in South Africa.”
Spike Lee is a nitwit! 99% of the Hollyweird types are nitwits.
Facing public pressure, Obama has taken a tougher tone toward BP in recent days.
He said earlier in the week that he’d fired BP CEO Tony Hayward and claimed that he was scouting for an “ass to kick.” U.S. senators called on BP to stop dividend payments, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi echoed that call on Friday.
Here’s a clue D’Bama: Hayward may not be anyone’s favorite person right now, but at least he’s had a REAL job. I’ve no doubt, given the chance, he’d fire D’Bama for being an utter incompetent! Come to think of it, odds are, the American people will do just that when the time comes. Once again, the “U.S. senators” and Nancy Pelosi prove themselves completely clueless. There are people, both here and in Britain, depending on those dividends. Neither side of the pond need that man/child spouting his manure, doing more harm than good, as usual!
Question: What kind of game doesn’t have a clear winner anyway?
Seriously, who cares?

The “Disclaimer”
It’s needless to say that Wilder Publications won’t be getting any of my business. The ‘disclaimer’ they slapped on the U.S. Constitution is beyond reprehensible. The document is just as relevant now as it’s ever been. We have a far reaching federal government, as there was in 1776, using powers they were never given by the Constitution. For a publishing company to insert their own extremely slanted view on the document that founded our nation? Capitalism is alive and well, we are free to choose what companies from which we purchase any product. Wilder Publications does not deserve our hard earned dollars.
Oh, and by the way, it’s not just the Constitution, it’s also included in their publication of The Federalist Papers.

Weasel Time
“The Day Freedom Died”
The Senate just claimed the title of the world’s most delusional body by refusing to strip unelected EPA bureaucrats of the power to regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant. This was the day freedom died.
One wonders why we have a Congress at all. The 53 profiles in cowardice that could not get a cap-and-tax bill through the U.S. Senate voted Thursday to let the Environmental Protection Agency keep the unprecedented power Congress did not expressly give it. It is power that the EPA arrogated to itself through regulation to control every aspect of the American economy and our very lives.
They might as well have taken the Constitution out on the on Senate floor, and started a fire, with what little we have left of it now.
All 41 Republicans, including newbie Scott Brown of Massachusetts, voted not to shred the Constitution. The motion attracted, for various reasons, the votes of six Democrats — Mary Landrieu, Blanche Lincoln, Ben Nelson, Mark Pryor, the departing Evan Bayh and even Jay Rockefeller, who for once chose jobs over ideology.
Perhaps there is a drop or two of common sense in a few of the Dems, and the Republicans KNOW they would get shredded. The first thing the new Congress, under Republican control, needs to do is dissolve the EPA. One less bloated bureaucracy is not a bad thing. We already have laws in place that deal with environmental issues. The arrogance of this Congress is mind boggling. They shouldn’t be surprised when they find themselves standing in the unemployment lines with the millions of Americans they’ve put out of work!
This is a Congress full of hypocrites who complain about executive branch power under Republicans but are willing to give the EPA unprecedented power because they don’t have the votes for cap-and-trade. “Who elected the Environmental Protection Agency?” asked Wyoming Republican John Barrasso. It is a question we, and the voters, ask too.
That’s a question they better find an answer to before the ‘peasants’ come to the Capital with pitchforks, and find a way to undo the damage they’ve done.
