Timing of National Guard’s Deployment to Southwest Border Stirs Confusion, Anger

The 1,200 National Guard troops expected to arrive Sunday on the southwest border for reinforcement won’t finish deploying until late September, federal officials say, stirring confusion and anger among Arizona lawmakers who thought the deadline was Aug. 1.

Aug. 1. That’s tomorrow. And D’Bama announced back in May he’d be sending troops to the border, right? And 3 months isn’t long enough? Uh huh. Got it.

“This administration seems to promise a lot and then when you get into the fine print, it just doesn’t happen,” said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who has called for 6,000 National Guard troops.

Barack Hussein Obama.  The consummate campaigner! The only “promise” I’ve seen him keep is that “transformation” one.

Asked whether he had been briefed on what role the troops would play, McCain said, “We have not been briefed, and we have asked for briefing both in writing and verbally, and the answer is,’we’ll get back to you.’”

And was anyone expecting competence from these people? Paleeeeeeeeeeeze!

Homeland Security expressed surprise about the confusion.

I’m not surprised they’re surprised.

“Troops will be there this Sunday as planned,” a Homeland Security spokesman said. “This is the beginning deployment stage. There is a ramp-up time and troops will be trained. Nothing has changed in our world.”

Not even gonna touch that one. Who actually knows what world these people actually live in!

Arizona officials, including Brewer, said this is yet one more example of the federal government not making border security a top priority.

The federals don’t give a flying flip about the security of citizens and LEGAL residents, along the border and throughout the country. This isn’t a recent problem, but it has become more dangerous. If they won’t deal with the problem, as is their DUTY, then who is left to do THEIR job? I would say it would fall to the states to protect their LEGAL residents.

According to the Obama administration, nearly half of the troops will be sent to the volatile Arizona-Mexico border. A total of 524 will be stationed in Arizona, with 250 in Texas, 224 in California and 72 in New Mexico. An additional 130 will serve in “command-and-control” and other support positions.

Might as well spit in the ocean.

I do not permit supremacist comments, white or other wise. I don’t know what they do over there in Ballwin, MO, but here in Podunk, TN, and especially at here at the Ol’ Broad’s place, we tend to look at the inside of a person, not the outside. Your comment made no sense, considering the content of the post. If you wish to comment in the future, please try to use rational thinking, and leave your color bias in the dumpster, where it belongs.

Take a look at what shows up at a South Texas stock water tank in dry weather. For those of you that have never hunted in South Texas , sometimes we post motion detector cameras at our feeders/tanks to see what is going on.  Check out the sequence:
