White House Admits Obamacare’s Individual Mandate is a Tax
The Foundry
Throughout his presidential campaign, then-candidate Barack Obama promised the American people: “If you’re a family that’s making $250,000 a year or less, you will see no increase in your taxes.” After he became President, Barack Obama reiterated that pledge, promising the American people in his September 9th health care press conference: “The middle-class will realize greater security, not higher taxes.” But Obamacare does contain tax hikes. Tons of them. From taxes on tanning beds to taxes on employment and investments, Obamacare is a certified job-killing machine.

Feminists VS Feminine
Conservatives try to claim the term feminist as their own
For decades, the label feminist has been the exclusive property of women on the political left, with victimhood and abortion rights as feminism’s primary tenets, and the promulgation of grievances against the patriarchy its modus operandi. This election cycle a large cadre of traditional women have entered the the political arena and are challenging the sisterhood of bra-burners on their own turf, bringing what Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, calls “authentic feminism” to the national stage.
Growing up in the age of so called “feminists”, I frequently questioned my role in the world. It took me a while, but I figured out, the N.O.W. bunch, etc., were not my cup of tea. Such women did NOTHING to promote women, unless those same women bought into their agenda. If you haven’t noticed, most “feminists” are NOT feminine. I’ve had occasions to even question if they are female. What woman would promote the murder of babies? We are the nurturers of our bodies and the creation that God put there, NOT the executioners. So, yes, I do question the motives.

What’s Attorney General Holder Hiding?
The Foundry
Imagine arriving at your neighborhood polling place on Election Day and seeing two men guarding the entrance, dressed in paramilitary uniforms, wielding a deadly billy club, shouting racial epithets and menacing voters. Would you walk through the door? Now imagine political appointees in the Department of Justice (DOJ) refusing to pursue the case, the U.S. Attorney General stonewalling and refusing to enforce lawful subpoenas in the face of questions about that decision, and the mainstream media remaining silent on the story for a year.
This isn’t a case of pure imagination. This is, in a nutshell, the true story of the New Black Panther (NBPP) voter intimidation case, and it’s one dramatic example of the increased politicization of the Department of Justice under Attorney General Eric Holder and President Barack Obama’s administration.
The story begins on Election Day 2008 in Philadelphia, when two Panthers engaged in a “textbook case of voter intimidation” in violation of the 1965 Voter Rights Act. Their actions were caught on video, and witnesses offered sworn statements that one of the Panthers called poll watchers a “white devil” and a “cracker” who would be “ruled by the black man.”

Collaborating Clinton
Clinton Offers Pakistan Aid in Bid to Improve Ties
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton opened high-level talks with Pakistan on Monday by announcing several new aid projects aimed at improving the country’s water, energy and health sectors.
The projects are part of a $7.5 billion aid effort to convince Pakistanis that Washington is not only focused on backing the country’s fight against Taliban and Al Qaeda militants, but is also dedicated to improving the lives of average citizens.
The goal is to reduce the high level of anti-American sentiment in the country, providing Pakistan with more room to cooperate with Washington’s effort to turn around the war in neighboring Afghanistan.
“We know that there is a perception held by too many Pakistanis that America’s commitment to them begins and ends with security,” said Clinton. “But security is just one piece of this vital partnership. We share with Pakistan a vision of a future in which all people can live safe, healthy, and productive lives; contribute to their communities; and make the most of their own God-given potential.”
Excuse me, but have those people up there in the Swamp completely lost their freakin’ minds??? We don’t HAVE any money to ship off to Pakistan, or anywhere else for that matter! They want to kill us. They are NOT our allies. And this dumb broad is promising aid? What is she going to do, pull is out of her ass? Dip into D’Bama’s personal stash? We are BROKE! I keep hearing how smart this woman is, and yet she pulls something like this? This isn’t smart at all. Honestly, we’ve got enough problems right here at home that could use some ‘aid’. How about sending the $7.5 BILLION to the border states to combat the terrorists who have invaded our borders? I’m fairly sure I know a few folks who wouldn’t mind sitting in turrets along the border and shooting any sumbitch that wanders onto this side, lugging drugs, guns, and smuggling people!
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting damn sick of the constant slap in the face from D.C. Americans FIRST and FOREMOST! Screw the rest of the world until we get OUR affairs in order, secure OUR borders, and keep OUR citizens safe!
An Update
Yesterday, Brat, Ick, Short Person and I headed down to Houston. BLECH! But the purpose was to have dinner with family folks, and since they live in Houston, it was a necessary evil. We had dinner at Pappadeaux’s, which is all well and fine for those who like seafood. I don’t happen to be one of ‘em. Don’t even like lobster anymore. Yep, the old taste buds are going through a rebellion. Everyone else was happy, but seafood restaurants don’t do good chicken.
But the fried gator was REAL tasty.
I lived in the Houston area for a number of years, and each time I go back, I’m reminded of why I left. Those people are crazy! LOL It smells bad, the traffic is horrible, and a large chunk of the population can’t speak English. Those who do are obviously NOT from around these parts.
And it ALWAYS pisses me off that there are so many billboards in a FOREIGN language! I’d seriously like to know who taught those people to drive! JEEEZ!
Tomorrow, I will be heading back home. I’m very ready! Getting away is nice once in a while, but I do miss the Mr, and I miss my cats, and I miss MY BED!
I’m going to take my time. No rush! But I’m really looking forward to seeing our four walls, as opposed to Brat’s and Ick’s. Heh.
Put Biden Back On His Meds
Biden defends fiscal policy in rallying Democrats
In a keynote address meant to bolster party activists ahead of midterm elections in November, Biden said the administration of President Barack Obama has turned around a declining economy and improved the United States’ standing in the world.
I know some Democrats, and I never thought they were so ignorant that they can’t see what’s smack dab in front of their faces. No, BHO has NOT “turned around the declining economy”. As a matter of fact, his policies have done more damage to the economy than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, and that includes the Carter years. Businesses are NOT hiring because of the uncertainty of these policies. Oh, the gubmint is creating all kinds of jobs…..at the taxpayers expense…..gubmint jobs, paid for by the taxpayers. This is not economic recovery. And no, he has NOT “improved the United States standing in the world” either. The rest of the world is pretty much laughing at the joke that is the Obama administration.
Biden laid the blame for setbacks in Afghanistan and rising fiscal deficits at the feet of former President George W. Bush, whom he said had fought two wars, expanded drug benefits and cut taxes without finding ways to pay for his programs.
Seriously? Did he really say that???? ROFLMAO Well, some Dems might still be buying into the “it’s all Bush’s fault” mantra, but I’m really hoping that many are finally getting over their BDS. Biden evidently hasn’t. When the Democrats took over Congress, there had been 520 deaths of coalitions troops. From 2007 through 2008, there were 529, more than the previous years combines, even though GWB was still CoC. In 2009, when Barack Hussein Obama took office, through today, in 2010, approximately 18 months, there have been 876 deaths. You do the math. So, tell me again Joe…..who is to blame for the setbacks? The extremists laugh at the lack of leadership.
Now, about those deficits. Again……ROFLMAO! We had 43 presidents before B. Hussein came on the scene, and combined, they couldn’t run up the deficits like one single phony POTUS, and his minions in Congress, has. Seriously Joe, get on the meds. You are surely in NEED of a little chemical aid to remove your head from you hinder! Now, I’m not defending Bush. He was no where near the conservative many thought him to be, but compared to D’Bama? He’s a regular Ronald Reagan and Maggie Thatcher, rolled into one!
Styled as a campaign convention rather than the party’s usual dinner, speakers made scant mention of Democratic-led health-care reform. Instead, they focused on an economy that they said had been strengthened by moves such as the Wall Street reform bill and the federal stimulus bill.
I’ll lay dollars to doughnuts that not a one of ‘em at that dinner has read any of the aforementioned bills. They might have browsed the HC bill, which is why it wasn’t touted as an ‘accomplishment’. And I will repeat, the economy has NOT been strengthened. Some folks are doing ok, but many more are not. Why invest in your business, hoping for growth, when the government turns around and regulates you into the ground? I sure as hell would be investing MY profits in something that may have me, and my employees, living on the streets in the not too distant future.
“When President (Bill) Clinton and I left office, we had some of the biggest surpluses we had ever had,” former Vice President Al Gore said. “In eight years, all of that was squandered.”
The Dems are still claiming this lying weasel? Shame on them. tsk tsk tsk What the ol’ Boracle didn’t mention, was that it was a Republican run Congress that put those numbers on paper, NOT him, and NOT Clinton. Once again, compared to BHO, Bill Clinton is a conservative. Thank goodness that fool LOST the election in 2000!
Like their federal counterparts, state leaders stressed fiscal responsibility. Several praised Bredesen’s management of the state budget and his economic development policies, which they said had brought jobs to the state and placed Tennessee among the best-managed states in the country.
I guess they probably didn’t mention that Bredesen is a FISCAL CONSERVATIVE, did they. Of course not. As I’ve said before, as Democrats go, Phil Bredesen isn’t so bad.
They also used the opportunity to stress their three main goals — holding onto the two seats in the U.S. Congress being vacated by retiring Democratic Reps. Bart Gordon and John Tanner, electing Jackson businessman Mike McWherter governor and winning back the majority in the state House that they lost two years ago.
I really hope they aren’t counting on this happening. Both Tanner and Gordon KNEW they were going to get kicked out of Congress by the voters in their districts, so why the blazes would said voters elect carbon copies? That just wouldn’t make any sense. Of course, a lot of things voters have done recently haven’t made much sense, so I’m not going to make any predictions. Just pray REAL hard!
The speeches made clear that they see their chances as being closely tied to the fortunes of Democrats nationwide in this November’s midterm elections.
Tennessee Dems shouldn’t really tie their hopes to something else, and not the rest of the nation. From what I’ve seen, the House Majority leader will NOT have a “D” tagging onto the back of his or her name. All the pretty speeches from anyone can NOT change facts. The Democrats, since taking control, have spend this country into poverty, they have used the U.S. Constitution as toilet paper, and have completely ignored the will of the MAJORITY of the voters. Big issues this year, as it should be every year, is the tax and spend policies of big government, the security of the nation, and the rights granted to the citizens by GOD!

Since I live in the 7th District, I don’t know a lot of about the other districts. Marsha Blackburn doesn’t have a primary opponent. The best I can find out, there’s only one Dem running, Greg Rabidoux, and he doesn’t seem to have an opponent either. If I have this wrong, let me know, and I can fix it.
My state Rep is Vance Dennis, and he doesn’t have a primary opponent, not in the primary or the general.
As for the rest of the state, well, there are some good candidates. I’d highly recommend Charlotte Bergman in the 9th District!!
Creating Jobs….The Gubmint Way
The Lawyers and Lobbyists Full Employment Act
The Foundry
Without spending a single dime, the Obama administration did more yesterday to create jobs for the U.S. economy than it has throughout its entire existence. With the single stroke of a pen, President Barack Obama signed the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill that set in motion 243 new formal rule-makings by 11 different federal agencies. Each of the 243 rule-makings will employ hundreds of banking lobbyists as they try to shape what the final actual laws will look like. And when the rules are finally written, thousands of lawyers will bill millions of hours as the richest incumbent financial firms that caused the last crisis figure out how to game the new system. Yesterday, the Washington law firm Jones Day snapped up the Securities and Exchange Commission head enforcement division lawyer, and J.P. Morgan Chase, one of the biggest U.S. banks by assets, assigned more than 100 teams to examine the legislation. University of Massachusetts political science professor Thomas Ferguson tells The Christian Science Monitor:
By delegating so much to the regulators, Congress is inviting everyone interested in the outcome to make more campaign contributions, as they intervene in the regulatory process to influence the regulators. Nothing is settled. It’s a gold mine for members of Congress.
So if the richest big banks, lawyers, lobbyists and Congress were the big winners yesterday, who are the losers? Small banks, entrepreneurs and you.
Smaller community banks do not have the same resources that the Goldman Sachs of the world do to hire armies of lawyers and lobbyists to shape and comply with new regulations. The cost of compliance will eat up a much larger share of small bank revenue. Jim MacPhee, CEO of Kalamazoo County State Bank in Michigan and chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), told USA Today: “We weren’t part of the subprime (mortgage) meltdown. Why throw more regulations at us?”
Entrepreneurs take a double hit in the Dodd-Frank bill. First, by forcing banks to raise more capital it will now be more difficult for them to make new loans for small businesses. But more important is the regulatory threat for new products. Across the world mobile device and telecommunications firms are beginning to compete against credit card companies and banks to reshape how consumers buy products and manage their finances. Will the Dodd-Frank Consumer Financial Protection Bureau even allow these services to come to market? Will cell phone firms have to be regulated exactly like financial firms? Nobody knows the answer to these questions. Here is what we do know: it will be the banks and telco firms with the best lawyers and lobbyists – not the best entrepreneurs – that come out on top in this battle.
Then there is what the Dodd-Frank does not do: it does nothing to stop future government bailouts. Instead, it makes the TARP bailout system permanent. The bill’s “orderly liquidation” process empowers regulators to seize any firm they deem a threat to our financial system and liquidate them. These powers are subject to insufficient judicial review and do nothing to ensure that the firms’ creditors won’t receive 100% of their irresponsibly lent money back in future taxpayer funded bailouts. And speaking of taxpayer-funded bailouts, the bill does nothing to address Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, whose activities were instrumental to the financial crisis.
Back in 1994, Jonathan Rauch wrote in his book Government’s End: “Economic thinkers have recognized for generations that every person has two ways to become wealthier. One is to produce more, the other is to capture more of what others produce. … Washington looks increasingly like a public-works jobs program for lawyers and lobbyists, a profit center for professionals who are in business for themselves.” The Dodd-Frank bill is the perfect extension of Washington as “a public-works jobs program for lawyers and lobbyists.” Instead of encouraging the U.S. economy to invest in engineers, technology and new products, it requires firms to invest in lawyers and lobbyists just to stay alive. It will do nothing to help create new wealth or new net jobs in the economy, but will transfer more wealth to lobbying and law firms in Washington, D.C.

I’m going to interject here, and flat out state it….BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS A LYING SACK OF MALE BOVINE EXCREMENT! And every single person who voted for that bill is guilty of the murder of innocent babies at the expense of the taxpayer. America has truly lost her soul.
‘Bout Time!
BP Says Oil Stops Leaking Into Gulf for First Time Since April
BP says oil has stopped leaking into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time since April, touting the success of its new cap on its broken well.
BP has been slowly dialing down the flow as part of a critical pressure test on its new cap, which it now believes is fully containing the oil for the first time since the crisis began nearly three months ago.
Gee, I wonder who is going to take the credit if this is a success?
We ALL know who will be blamed if it fails.
Now, if the Obama minions would just get the hell out of the way, let the clean up go forward, listen to those who KNOW what the hell they are doing, and STFU, perhaps we could all see mass improvements in the conditions on the Gulf. Oh, and let the companies who do NOT have almost 600 safety violations continue their work, let the rigs get back to what rigs do! Support the economy!
As for BP? Well, no offense to the folks on that side of the pond, but personally, I don’t want them doing anymore drilling over here. Ignoring safety is not a real good way to stay in business.
And, don’t forget to pray that this works! NOT to ‘Mother Earth’! To the ONE that created her!
