Ann on Bell’s Democrats

Let’s play ‘spot the Democrat’!
by Ann Coulter

In the greatest party-affiliation cover-up since the media tried to portray Gary Condit as a Republican, the media are refusing to mention the party affiliation of the thieving government officials in Bell, Calif.

There have been hundreds of news stories about Bell city officials’ jaw-dropping salaries. In this poor city on the outskirts of Los Angeles, where the per capita annual income is $24,800 a year, the city manager, Robert Rizzo, had a salary of $787,637.

That’s about twice what the president of the United States makes. (To be fair, Rizzo was doing a better job.)

Summer of Bailouts
The Foundry

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs did not give the White House daily press briefing yesterday. The stated excuse was a bad cough. But there was no mention of any flu-like symptoms when The Hill reported yesterday that Gibbs believes the “professional left” should be “drug tested” since they will only be satisfied “when we have Canadian health care and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon.” After an outpouring of leftist protests over the article, including a call from Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) that he resign, Gibbs walked back his criticism, releasing a statement explaining: “Day after day it gets frustrating. Yesterday I watched as someone called legislation to prevent teacher layoffs a bailout – but I know that’s not a view held by many.”

Oh how wrong Gibbs is. “Bailout” is the only word that can accurately describe the $26.1 billion legislation that the House approved on a largely party line vote yesterday. Let’s break down the bill’s main provisions:

Pfft!

From USA Today:

Public employee unions say the compensation gap reflects the increasingly high level of skill and education required for most federal jobs and the government contracting out lower-paid jobs to the private sector in recent years.

Skilled?  Seriously? Then why do so many government workers SUCK at their job?

The term “Federal civil servants” is a misnomer! A large number are not civil, and they have decided WE are the servants.  You make over 80K a year?  YOU pay for your own insurance and retirement out of YOUR salary!   Ever heard of a savings account?  You don’t need my money!  And guess what!  When there is no more private sector, there are no more fat paychecks for YOU!  To put it in the most simplest terms possible, the government has NO money.  They take it from people who work for a living, to give it to those who don’t.

Tolerating Evil

11 August 2010, 9:56 am. 2 Comments. Filed under 1st Amendment, Middle East, Opinion, Religion of Pieces, Taxes.

An L.A. Times editorial caught my eye this morning:

‘Ground zero mosque’ should go forward

In particular, this sentence leaped out:

This page has supported construction of the center, whose name, Cordoba House, is taken from the Spanish city that stood for interfaith tolerance in the Middle Ages and whose stated mission is “promoting positive interaction between the Muslim world and the West.”

Does this author actually know anything about Muslim ‘tolerance’? What tolerance translates to in the Muslim world is basically a form of slavery.

He [Bernard Lewis] argues that Islam traditionally did not offer equality nor even pretended that it did, arguing that it would have been both a “theological as well as a logical absurdity.” (source)

Political correctness already has us figuratively bowing to Islam. How much longer until we are FORCED to bow physically?

In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force. Therefore, caliphate and royal authority are united in Islam, so that the person in charge can devote the available strength to both of them at the same time. The Muqaddimah: An Introduction to History by Ibn Khaldun – “Muslim scholar (1332-1406) represented in the west as a moderate and even a liberal.”

THIS is the type of tolerance we should adhere to? I don’t think so!

The 9/11 murderers did not hijack the ‘religion’. They were following said ‘religion’s’ dictates. For anyone to support the building of this, or ANY, so called center for tolerance and understanding is beyond comprehension.  We were a nation built on Judeo-Christian values.  When did we lose those values?  Yes, we are granted the rights of freedom of religion, not just by the U.S. Constitution, but also by God.  He has given us free will to choose right from wrong.  What is wrong is glorifying a murderous pedophile cult by allowing a ‘culture center’ to be built anywhere near the site of the slaughter of innocent men, women, and children.

The 1st Amendment states:   Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech…

It is in my opinion, the U.S. State Department is violating the Amendment by using taxpayer money for “an outreach program” by sending “Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man spearheading the Ground Zero Mosque initiative.” (source)

Is the U.S. Government now establishing a religion? Will they also send a Christian minister, or a Jewish rabbi along with the imam? No, I didn’t think so! This is no more than a fund raising trip, paid for by you and me. ‘An “established religion” in America by 1789 was that an established denomination was supported by mandatory taxes…’ (source) Our mandatory taxes being used in such a manner, to me, is in CLEAR violation.

We can’t have a Nativity scene in a public place, but the State Department uses our money to promote Islam? It has been obvious for quite some time this administration could care less about the U.S. Constitution.
