Look Who’s ‘Nativist’ Now!
by Ann Coulter

“Nativism in American politics has become so rampant that it is considered scandalous in Republican circles for a judge to acknowledge paying any attention to foreign courts and their legal rulings.” — New York Times editorial, Aug. 3, 2010

The New York Times runs this same smug editorial every few months — at least I think it’s the same editorial — to vent its spleen at conservatives who object to American judges relying on foreign law to interpret the U.S. Constitution.

But when it comes to anchor babies, The New York Times and the entire Democratic establishment plug their ears and hum rather than consider foreign laws on citizenship. (For more on this, see “Mexican immigration law versus U.S. immigration law.”)

Statue honoring Martin soldier stolen

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — A statue honoring a West Tennessee soldier killed in combat has been stolen.

WCMT radio quoted Martin Police Captain Don Teal, who said the community is incensed. The department is asking the public for help in finding who is responsible. The statue is believed to have been taken Friday or Saturday.

The concrete statue was erected by the family of Sgt. Dustin Laird. It had twice before been vandalized and repaired.

In 2008, two people from Martin confessed they painted a skull over the face of the statue and doused it with red paint.

The head and arms were broken off in May 2010.

The soldier it honors was killed in 2005 by an improvised roadside bomb while serving in Iraq.

There are a lot of useless beings in this world, and those who did this are less than useless.  I pray they find the scum sucking SOBs and throw them UNDER the jail, AFTER the family gets through with him/her/it!

Mosque supporters beg George W. Bush to come to Obama’s rescue

There’s a new argument emerging among supporters of the Ground Zero mosque. Distressed by President Obama’s waffling on the issue, they’re calling on former President George W. Bush to announce his support for the project, because in this case Bush understands better than Obama the connection between the war on terror and the larger question of America’s relationship with Islam. It’s an extraordinary change of position for commentators who long argued that Bush had done grievous harm to America’s image in the Muslim world and that Obama represented a fresh start for the United States. Nevertheless, they are now seeing a different side of the former president.

Let’s see….D’Bama has consistently blamed Bush for everything. Literally EVERYTHING! I wouldn’t be surprised if he was blaming GWB when he misses a shot on the basketball court!  The media has been right there with him blaming the POTUS that left office nearly 2 years ago.  And now they want Bush to climb on board their crazy train?  Seriously?

Well, if he does, which I pray he won’t, and there are jihidis sprouting out of that place, then who will get the blame?  Sure won’t be D’Bama!  Nope!  I can see it now….Slimes headline…..Dateline 2020 (or some such future date)…..

“Bush At Fault For Terror Attacks – Sharia Comes To America!”

“It’s time for W. to weigh in,” writes the New York Times’ Maureen Dowd. Bush, Dowd explains, understands that “you can’t have an effective war against the terrorists if it is a war on Islam.” Dowd finds it “odd” that Obama seems less sure on that matter. But to set things back on the right course, she says, “W. needs to get his bullhorn back out” — a reference to Bush’s famous “the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” speech at Ground Zero on September 14, 2001.

This is the same bimbo that wrote: They wanted to make absolutely, positively certain that W. was gone. It was like a physical burden being lifted, like a sigh went up of “Thank God. Has Cheney’s wheelchair left the building, too?” Plus many other not so ‘polite’ statements. Now, she’s whining that Bush should step forward to proclaim building a monument to hatred is a good thing?

Let’s put this out there. I don’t care that Bush, or anyone else, has claimed Islam is a ‘religion of peace’. He was wrong. Peace has NEVER been the goals of Muslims. Domination of ALL peoples is their stated goal.

U.S. may sue Arizona’s Sheriff Arpaio for not cooperating in investigation

A federal investigation of a controversial Arizona sheriff known for tough immigration enforcement has intensified in recent days, escalating the conflict between the Obama administration and officials in the border state.

Justice Department officials in Washington have issued a rare threat to sue Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio if he does not cooperate with their investigation of whether he discriminates against Hispanics. The civil rights inquiry is one of two that target the man who calls himself “America’s toughest sheriff.” A federal grand jury in Phoenix is examining whether Arpaio has used his power to investigate and intimidate political opponents and whether his office misappropriated government money, sources said.

We have corrupt politicians running rampant in D.C. There are Islamonazis plotting the demise of the nation, and her citizens. There are millions crossing our borders, many of who are violent criminals. The list is LONG!  And what does the Obama administration focus on? Why…a county sheriff, DOING HIS JOB, naturally!

Not only is this administration dangerous for the country as a whole, which is bad enough, it’s also extremely petty.  Their childish actions are proving, time and time again, just how incompetent they are!

It’s OK To LIE?

Appeals court: Stolen Valor Act unconstitutional

A three-year-old federal law that makes it a crime to falsely claim to have received a medal from the U.S. military is unconstitutional, an appeals court panel in California ruled Tuesday.

The decision involves the case of Xavier Alvarez of Pomona, Calif., a water district board member who said at a public meeting in 2007 that he was a retired Marine who received the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military decoration.

Mr. Alvarez was indicted in 2007. He pleaded guilty on condition that he be allowed to appeal on First Amendment grounds. He was sentenced under the Stolen Valor Act to more than 400 hours of community service at a veterans hospital and fined $5,000.

A panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with him in a 2-1 decision Tuesday, agreeing that the law was a violation of his free-speech rights. The majority said there’s no evidence that such lies harm anybody, and there’s no compelling reason for the government to ban such lies.

Is common decency a ‘compelling reason’?  You can’t shout FIRE in a crowded theater.  It is NOT protected under the 1st Amendment, nor should a feckless weasel LYING about his military service.  It dishonors all who DID receive such medals.   It is a slap in the face to every honorable person in the country.  But then, this IS the 9th circus, and judging by many of their decision, honor isn’t even in their vocabulary.

In my limited understanding of the 1st Amendment, the phrase “abridging the freedom of speech”, does NOT protect thieves. And that’s what this case represents….THEFT!

THOU SHALT NOT STEAL!!

Trade Fedzilla for fair tax
by Ted Nugent

Simpler is always better, especially as it pertains to Fedzilla, whose mission is to complicate things to such a degree that ordinary Americans no longer understand how our government works or who it works for.

Keeping Americans baffled and confused allows Fedzilla to continue to gorge itself on gross inefficiency and run up a tab totaling trillions of dollars. Fedzilla is a punk and we the taxpayers the punkees.

We must simplify government whenever we can. The most grotesque example of something needing simplification is the U.S. tax code, which is the largest and most confusing book in the history of mankind. It totals roughly 50,000 pages and 8 million words. If anything about Fedzilla needs simplifying and has the overwhelming support of Americans, it is surely our classic, outrageous and unreasonable IRS tax code.

No one understands our tax code, including the IRS. Call 50 different IRS tax specialists with the same question and chances are you will get 50 different answers. Fedzillacrats have intentionally made it this way.

Not only does our tax code need to be clearer and easier to understand, it needs to be much more fair. Everyone, rich and poor, has skin in this game. It is unfair to expect or demand that 10 percent of the U.S. population pay 70 percent of the income taxes.

If you are a soulless bloodsucker and actually like Fedzilla in all its glowing inefficiency, then you ought to feed the beast with your tax dollars and not expect others to pay your fair share. If not, do America a favor and set sail for Cuba where you can join other commies on their commie colony of hopeless dependency.

Good stuff.  Go. Read.

8 million words.  Did you know there are less than 800,000 words in the Bible?

White House Directive: Erect Signs at All Stimulus Projects as ‘Symbol of President Obama’s Commitment to American People’

Federal contractors receiving money for projects funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)—the $862 billion economic stimulus law President Barack Obama signed in February 2009—have been encouraged and, in some cases, required by the administration to post signs that say their work is funded by that specific act.

I’ll be perfectly honest….every time I see those signs, I want to shoot ‘em!  The signs….not any person. (just wanted to get that straight) Encouraging putting them up is one thing….DEMANDING it is something else. Are our tax dollars being used for Obama’s ego? Of course!

The Department of Housing and Urban Development recommended one model sign that included these words: “Funded By: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act/ Barack Obama, President.”

Do we really need to be reminded of just who we have to thank for our economic woes? Not really.  I think we all know who is responsible.  Or, at least, we SHOULD be.  He sure has no problem, what so ever, of spending money that isn’t his demanding that everyone sees his name as we are reminded of the billions of taxpayer dollars being put to use on projects, like roads that didn’t need to be repaired.

Obama administration officials have said the signs are designed to increase government transparency by showing people how recovery dollars are being spent. But some Republicans are concerned that the signs are a use of taxpayer money to promote President Obama.

They can play that ‘recovery’ nonsense over and over, but it’s become quite obvious that they are full of ka-ka.

In the meantime, Republicans on the oversight committee have gone directly to the states in an effort to determine costs. Thus far, they have found that Ohio has spent $1 million on ARRA signs and Illinois has spent $640,000, Schock said. ABC News reported in July that a stimulus funded project at Washington, D.C.’s Dulles Airport has a 10-foot-by-11-foot ARRA sign that cost $10,000. ABC also reported that Pennsylvania spent $157,000 on ARRA signs.

I wonder how many low income children could have been fed a hot breakfast with that money?

How many of President Obama’s signs have been posted at highway projects around the country? “That’s a question for the states,” a Federal Highway Administration spokesman told CNSNews.com. “It would be like asking how many stop signs are out there. We don’t know.” But the spokesman did confirm that the signs themselves are paid for by Recovery Act dollars.

Yep. Our tax dollars hard at work, promoting a POTUS, who, hopefully, will be out of a job in a couple of years. :D

Dunn acts as Obama attack dog on mosque, says GOP ’solidifying its reputation for intolerance’

Former White House communications director director Anita Dunn on Tuesday launched a furious attack against Republicans who have criticized President Obama’s remarks on the Ground Zero mosque, labeling the GOP as the party of intolerance.

Coming from a communist, I’m going to take that as a compliment. While not technically a Republican, I’m more than likely to side with freedom than I am with the slavery that she and her cohorts have been trying to push on us!

We are instructed to fight against evil.  What could be more evil than a pedophile/murder cult?  Just because the libtard Democrats promote evil, in all forms, doesn’t mean we have to roll over and take it!

After two years of work, the Sharia Index Project’s working team of Sunni and Shi’a legal scholars from Morocco to Indonesia achieved consensus on a final structure on philosophy, methodology, and approach to providing the general public, opinion leaders, and state officials in both the Muslim and Western worlds with an Islamic legal benchmark for measuring “Islamicity” of a state.

From a 2005 American Thinker post, Top ten reasons why sharia is bad for all societies:

10. Islam commands that drinkers and gamblers should be whipped.
9. Islam allows husbands to hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives.
8. Islam allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge—physical eye for physical eye.
7. Islam commands that a male and female thief must have a hand cut off.
6. Islam commands that highway robbers should be crucified or mutilated.
5. Islam commands that homosexuals must be executed.
4. Islam orders unmarried fornicators to be whipped and adulterers to be stoned to death.
3. Islam orders death for Muslim and possible death for non—Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran and even sharia itself.
2. Islam orders apostates to be killed.
1. Islam commands offensive and aggressive and unjust jihad.

Read the whole thing. LONG, but quite informative!

Christians were given a New Testament, a new Covenant, with God. Many of these ‘rules’ are in the Old Testament, but Christ came, died, and rose again, taking our sins with Him. We are forgiven. We live our lives to please Him, not some bag of bones who raped children, enslaved nations, and murdered the innocent, and continues to command his followers to do the same.

For any official of a free nation to promote the building of such centers, any where in this country, is an abomination to those who lost loved ones, not just on this soil, but in foreign lands.

Exodus 20

2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Not bowing to Mohammed or anyone other than God.

After thought: Dunn is not an “attack dog”.  She’s a yappy little lapdog that should be swatted with a rolled up newspaper.

Obama needs to smell the coffee on energy tax laws

Senate Democrats have finally smelled the coffee. The recent announcement that they will scrap the energy bill that was clogging up the end of this summer’s congressional session was a breath of clean air for all of us.

Much has been made of the ‘lame duck session’ that the majority of us is hoping will be coming this November. The problem with such a session is that I’ve no doubt that the Democrats will take full advantage while they still have the majority in both Houses of Congress to push through their agenda. What is their agenda? It appears to be the mass destruction of the economy.  This bill may have been put aside for the moment, but will the Democrats honor the wishes of Americans, and NOT force feed the people anymore such bills before Congress changes hands?

Environmentalists may bemoan the step but, in this case, lawmakers demonstrated their ability to see the big picture and abandon what was a poorly timed and misguided energy bill. With unemployment still over 9 percent and families hurting from the long recession, the focus needs to be on jobs and economic development — not a new tax plan for carbon emissions.

Personally, I happen to like the environment. That said, I do not believe a mosquito, or fruit fly, or tiny fish has priority over the human race, and our ability to grow economically, and feed our nation. There is preserving a safe environment, then there is pushing an anti human agenda. The crap and tax….er….Cap and Trade is nothing more than a scheme to destroy jobs and make those who push it, rich…or, as the case may be….richer! (I thought libs hated the wealthy? Oh yeah…only the wealthy that create jobs, not the ones who destroy them. Oooops!)

Unfortunately, the smell of coffee is not permeating the halls of the White House. President Obama is insisting on changing the tax laws so the IRS can collect double the income tax on energy producers. His budget plan, if approved, would essentially give foreign oil and natural gas companies – like BP – an advantage over domestic companies because they would pay less in income taxes. The administration is pushing to remove what’s known as the dual capacity energy tax – a section of the federal tax code that allows companies to deduct the income tax they pay to foreign countries when conducting business there. If the president has his way, oil companies would pay income tax to both the foreign entity and to Uncle Sam.

I grew up believing that double taxation was illegal.  Of course, that hasn’t stopped the Federal Government.  Doesn’t allowing tax breaks for foreign oil companies seem a bit counter productive?  A LOT of products are made from oil.  I wonder if Mr Obama is aware: One 42-gallon barrel of oil creates 19.4 gallons of gasoline.

More than half of that barrel is used to make items like:

Golf Bags
Toilet Seats
Dresses
Sweaters
Shower Curtains
Telephones
Basketballs
Shoes
Sunglasses

And let’s not forget all the items used in the medical field, like:

Artificial Limbs
Anesthetics
Aspirin

Try to think of how many items are made from plastic. You do know that plastic comes from oil, right? If the administration wants to punish U.S. oil companies with ever increasing taxes, can you imagine just how much the cost of EVERYTHING is going to rise? From your kids toys, to the I.V. bag used to hopefully save your life…..EVERY SINGLE ITEM! Is there anything we use that doesn’t have some connection to oil?

Many people think that America’s largest oil and natural gas companies hold considerable sway in the global energy industry. But, that’s not the case at all. Compared to their foreign competitors, our “big three” rank 17th, 21st and 23rd worldwide. And, many of the most powerful and influential oil companies are state owned — adding to their market strength. Altering the tax laws to give these companies a market advantage means America will be forced to purchase more oil from unfriendly governments in order to ensure Americans have access to affordable supplies.

Serious question: When did Americans turn their future over to foreigners?  Many American jobs are related to the oil industry, not just in the Gulf region, but all across the country.

The environmental lobby reminds us that we need greater investment into renewable energy sources. That is true. But what is often overlooked is that oil and gas companies are making significant investment in that area as well. For renewable energy to really begin making a difference, more money needs to be allocated to research and development. Our nation’s energy needs are growing. By the year 2035, experts believe that energy usage will grow by 14 percent over current figures. Keeping the power flowing is the responsibility of our energy sector. It is not reasonable to demand they increase output, increase investment in research and development and keep energy prices affordable while also demanding they double-down on their income tax payments.

How will American oil companies be able to invest in renewable energies if the administration wants to destroy them in the meantime?

Can someone please turn on the coffee maker at the White House?

And while you’re at it, remind him that the coffee maker is ALSO made from oil products!

Death, Taxes and the Failure of Obamanomics
The Foundry

Benjamin Franklin famously said, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” With America’s stagnant-as-a-swamp economy still stuck at 9.5% unemployment, an unexpected 484,000 new jobless claims, and reports of a slowed recovery, it might be time for old Ben to pull out his quill and add another certainty to his list: the continuing failure of Obamanomics. Judging by the words of one of President Barack Obama’s economic advisors, it doesn’t look like the Administration is going to change course anytime soon.
