Update!

First, I want to thank everyone for their prayers!  You have no idea how much it means to know there are still people out there who care about others, as individuals, instead of a “collective”.  :?   Ok, no politics.  :P

Shortly after I arrived back from church this evening (yes, I needed to go, and yes, it most definitely helped!), the Mr called, letting me know he arrived safely in Jackson, and wants to take another helicopter ride, but under different circumstances.  He said it was really cool, and over too quick.  Men.  *shakes head*

He told me that, upon arrival, they immediately stuck a big needle in his neck for the meds that will bombard the clot. IF this works, he should only be in ICU a day or two. If it doesn’t….I have no idea what the next step will be. The doctor at Hardin County said something about surgery, but honestly, it’s all a bit of a blur. I will learn more tomorrow.

It has taken several hours for me to realize just how serious this really is. I knew, and know, but the realization that if he had just gone to the doctor, instead of the ER, they may not have found the clot. I may have lost him, and I’m just not ready for that!

To clarify for my daughter, the BRAT, it’s IN, not ON, his lung. I mistyped. Sue me!

Please Pray!

I came home from church this afternoon, and the Mr wasn’t feeling too well.  When he doesn’t want to go out for lunch, I know there is something wrong.  He was having some trouble breathing, and had complained of some pain.  He doesn’t get sick.  Ever!  So I basically forced him to get in the truck, and I took him to the ER.  I am very glad I’m persistent about some things!

They ran some tests, ruled out a heart attack.  Ran some more tests, and found a large clot on his lung, attached to the aorta (?).  Some major vein.  I was, and still am, a bit overwhelmed, so bear with me, ok?  The doctor said it was a horseshoe shape?  Saddle?  Something related to horses.

They MediVac’d him to Jackson, where they have the doctors and equipment to deal with the clot.  I can’t figure out if I need to head over there tonight, or do as he told me, and stay home, and go over tomorrow.  I guess I’m not thinking so well at the moment.

Yes, I am stressed.  Yes, I am scared.  I know that God will watch over him.  I also know that many people will be praying for him.   I hope y’all will forgive me if I don’t much care about politics right now.  :?   I think I’m going to go to church now.

Will We Rise From The Ashes?

It is us
by Ted Nugent

Barack Hussein Obama did not sneak into power. An army of clueless, disconnected, ignorant Americans invited him to bring his Marxist, glaringly anti-American jihad into our lives. This president’s overtly destructive, clear-and-present-danger agenda is surpassed in transparency only by his ultra-leftist public voting record and overall lifetime conduct of consorting with the enemy as a child and student of Marxism, socialist and racist community organizer, congregant of the blatant America-hating black-theology- and social-justice-spewing Rev. Jeremiah Wright and close personal friend of convicted communist terrorists like Bill Ayers, and by his unflinching appointment of an array of communist czars, including Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunne, et al. So let me get this straight: You claim your intentions were noble because you simply wanted to get your child a puppy but somehow didn’t notice that it was foaming at the mouth, and now you’re shocked that your child has rabies? I think not. That is not a mistake. It is negligence — dangerous, life threatening and, I am convinced, downright criminal negligence.

Read the rest here.

There were many of us who did our best, talking to family and friends, blogging, pointing out the obvious, providing proof, praying that people would take notice, and yet, 52% of the country still chose to blindly jump off the cliff.   Now, those of use who spoke up before the election in 2008, are doing our best to stop the lemmings.  I often wonder if people are choosing slavery over liberty because they actually WANT to be in chains, controlled by a faceless bureaucrat, or they are too lazy to think for themselves, or they are just beyond ignorant.  I’d like to believe too many are just ill-informed, but I know otherwise.

What was touted as a “post racial” president, has turned out to be the most divisive.  I can’t blame it all on him, but he does nothing to stop the racism coming from his own administration.  Many keep repeating the lie that if you disagree with this president’s policies, you are a racist.  Does that mean that all those who disagreed with Bush or Clinton are racists too?

What I see is a spoiled little boy, smashing all the toys and expecting someone else to replace them, with bigger and better toys.  He’s gone into your toy box, and smashed yours as well.  Petulant children have no business running the household, yet as he climbs up on the china cabinet, to begin throwing great grandmother’s best china to the ground we do nothing to stop him.

Yes, we are to blame for the situation we find ourselves in today.  We have been asleep at the switch for way too many years….even decades.  We watched the pretty ribbons and paper and forgot to look at what is inside.  A narcissist in a vacuum.  Devoid of all sense and logic.  Lacking the ability to connect on the most basic level.

In 2006, the American people were angry with the out of control spending of Congress, and let them know at the ballot box. The “most ethical Congress evah” came into power. Spending increased, yet we were told it wasn’t their fault, to give them another chance. “Give us total control of all the houses (Representatives, Senate, and White House), and we’ll fix the problems!” they shouted. And America agreed. “Yes! Make all the bad things go away! Give us HOPE! Give us CHANGE!”

Now we see that “change” is driving all hope away.

Our future as a nation, depends on US. WE, The People! It does not lie in Washington, D.C. It doesn’t rest on the shoulders of one spoiled little boy. It doesn’t come from the ethically challenged.  The thieves, liars, and cheats, that roam the halls of Congress.  Until WE regain control of our own lives, liberty, and property, we will not be the great nation we were meant to be, set forth by our Founders, and graced by God.
