Brace for Global Cooling, Says the Old Farmer’s Almanac

Most of the country will see a colder-than-usual winter while summer and spring will be relatively cool and dry, according to the time-honored, complex calculations of the “Old Farmer’s Almanac.”

The 2011 issue of the almanac, which claims to be the nation’s oldest continuously published periodical, was released Tuesday. It predicts that in the coming months, the Earth will continue to see a “gradual cooling of the atmosphere … offset by any warming caused by increased greenhouse gases.”

What??  You mean ol’ Al isn’t out there yelling and screeching?  “THE EARTH HAS A FEVER….!?!”  Isn’t it just amusing how rich Gore has gotten from preaching NORMAL earth cycles as “global warming”.

Ann on Bonfires and Hypocrisy

Bonfire of the Insanities
by Ann Coulter

In response to Gen David Petraeus’ denunciation of Florida pastor Terry Jones’ right to engage in a symbolic protest of the 9/11 attacks by burning copies of the Quran this Sept. 11, President Obama said: “Let me be clear: As a citizen, and as president, I believe that members of the Dove World Outreach Center have the same right to freedom of speech and religion as anyone else in this country.”

Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida lauded Obama’s remarks, saying America is “a place where you’re supposed to be able to practice your religion without the government telling you you can’t.”

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Obama’s words a “clarion defense of the freedom of religion” — and also claimed that he had recently run into a filthy jihadist who actually supported the Quran-burning!

Keith Olbermann read the poem “First they came …” on air in defense of the Quran-burners, nearly bringing himself to tears at his own profundity.

Just In Time For The Jewish New Year

Those oh so peaceful folks make their presence known.  Well, why should today be any different than any other day for TERRORISTS?

Gaza Terror Attack on Israeli Kibbutz Heralds Jewish New Year

Gaza terrorists launched a mortar attack on children and their parents in southern Israel Wednesday, just hours before the start of Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.

One mortar exploded close to several kindergarten buildings in a Negev kibbutz, just half an hour before the children were set to arrive.

Thankfully, no one was injured or killed. But let me ask this…..do Israelis go out of their way to bomb Gaza on a regular basis? No, I didn’t think so. Do the Jewish people celebrate Muslim holidays with attacks on civilians? No, I didn’t think so. So, explain to me just who is doing what, and why so many believe that it’s the Israelis that are causing the problems in the region? Oh, I’ve heard all that bull manure about the “occupation of Palestine”. And that’s exactly what it is….MANURE! The Jewish people were there long before the ‘palestinians’ got kicked out of whatever country didn’t want to put up with them!

Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Joshua 1:4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

Seems to me, it’s not the Jews who are doing the occupying! Who’s authority is higher than God’s?

Obama Targets Boehner, Casts Election as ‘Fear Versus Hope’

The president toggled between telling anecdotes about his family history and hitting hard — very hard — at House Republican Leader John Boehner. Calling out the GOP leader by name, he ridiculed an economic speech Boehner gave in Cleveland last month, saying the Ohio Republican has offered “no new policies” and “no new ideas.”

“The easiest thing for the other side to do is to ride this fear and anger all the way to the election,” Obama said. “A lot has changed since I came here in those final days of the last election, but what hasn’t is the choice facing this country. It’s still fear versus hope, the past versus the future. It’s still a choice between sliding backward and moving forward.”

The more Obama opens his mouth, the more he is an embarrassment, not just to those of us on the RIGHT, but to the entire country.  Hasn’t he already done enough damage to the image of the Office of the President of the United States?  The ‘leader of the free world’ doesn’t behave like a petulant child, but I’ll be darned if this faker doesn’t do it on a daily basis!

To Burn, Or Not To Burn

Fla. minister: Sept. 11 Quran burn still planned

The leader of a small Florida church that espouses anti-Islam philosophy said Wednesday he was determined to go through with his plan to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, despite pressure from the White House, religious leaders and others to call it off.

“We are still determined to it, yes,” the Rev. Terry Jones told the CBS Early Show.

I rather dislike the idea of burning ANY books.  Think of how much knowledge has been lost by burning books, throughout the ages!  I’m a book fanatic, as evidenced by the ever shrinking dining area. Drives the Mr nuts. What I’m thinking, if the media, and some very public figures hadn’t made such a big deal out of this, no one would have paid a bit of attention. This church could have had it’s bonfire, and gone on about their business. What they hope to accomplish, I’m not really sure, other than sending a message. Well, these public folks can thank themselves for getting that message out!

I’ve got to ask, where are the Vatican, the NYPD, Holder, Clinton, and Patraeus every time some Muslim (Saudi Arabia?) trashes the Bible?  Murders Christian children?

And They Wonder Why So Many Believe D’Bama Is Muslim?

Personally, I think he’s just an atheist ass, with a LOT of Muslim traits.

Neglecting Allies and Appeasing Foes
The Foundry

In yesterday’s New York Times, International Herald Tribune columnist Roger Cohen reported: “Since taking office, President Obama has reached out to the Muslim world as a whole, to China, to Turkey and to Iran, but has devoted scant serious diplomatic energy to Europe.” Cohen then went on to quote prominent Paris-based defense analyst Camille Grand: “Europe is the object of benign U.S. neglect. Obama has not established or re-established a strategic relationship with any single European country or with Europe as a whole.”

This analysis is dead on. In their report released last week, Defining the Obama Doctrine, Its Pitfalls, and How to Avoid Them, Drs. Kim Holmes and James Carafano detail just some of President Obama’s practice of extending an open hand to enemies while rebuffing friends and close allies, including: not welcoming the Dalai Lama to the White House when that dignitary made his first visit to Washington after Obama took office; reversing years of U.S. policy by supporting Argentina over the U.K. on the Falklands; caving to Russia by abandoning our missile defense plans with the Czech Republic and Poland; and backing a Hugo Chavez ally in Honduras.
