An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Just In Time For The Jewish New Year
Those oh so peaceful folks make their presence known. Well, why should today be any different than any other day for TERRORISTS?
Gaza Terror Attack on Israeli Kibbutz Heralds Jewish New Year
Gaza terrorists launched a mortar attack on children and their parents in southern Israel Wednesday, just hours before the start of Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.
One mortar exploded close to several kindergarten buildings in a Negev kibbutz, just half an hour before the children were set to arrive.
Thankfully, no one was injured or killed. But let me ask this…..do Israelis go out of their way to bomb Gaza on a regular basis? No, I didn’t think so. Do the Jewish people celebrate Muslim holidays with attacks on civilians? No, I didn’t think so. So, explain to me just who is doing what, and why so many believe that it’s the Israelis that are causing the problems in the region? Oh, I’ve heard all that bull manure about the “occupation of Palestine”. And that’s exactly what it is….MANURE! The Jewish people were there long before the ‘palestinians’ got kicked out of whatever country didn’t want to put up with them!
Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Joshua 1:4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
Seems to me, it’s not the Jews who are doing the occupying! Who’s authority is higher than God’s?

I guess I just really have two thoughts on the entire subject. First, God said there would be problems forever between these two groups of people because of the bloodlines – Isaac and Ishmael. No point in trying for peace in the region because God said it won’t happen.
I also tend to disagree with the idea that that’s where the Israelis belong because they lost that right over 2500 years ago. God warned them in Deuteronomy that if they strayed from his commandments, he would give them up to the nations around them. Isaiah and Jeremiah cover these two happenings very well – Assyria taking the ten tribes to the north, and Babylon taking the two to the south years later. They seem to hold God’s promise of what is basically protection from extinction, but they lost his blessing and the promised land when they decided to chase idols.
My 2 cents from my understanding of history and scripture.
That’s true. However, they are also suppose to return, which they are doing. Very small sliver of land, since they’ve conceded so much to appease the un-appeasable. Territory won by right of battle, I might add.
Don’t see that they are asking for the lands given originally, just to be able to live in peace, without fear of homicide bombers, rockets landing on their children, etc.
