I Call BS!
Citing Quran-Burning Threat, Islamic Body Wants U.N. to Outlaw ‘Offenses Against Religion’
Following the uproar over the threatened burning of the Quran by a small Florida church, a leading international Islamic body said Thursday that the United Nations should outlaw “all forms of offense against religions.”
Excuse me while finish cackling! Are they freakin’ serious? Centuries of persecuting Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. and they have a brass BALLS to want to make offending a religion illegal????
Ok, maybe it’s not so funny, but I do find it highly amusing that the most INTOLERANT bunch of thugs is calling for such a measure? So, does this mean that Saudi Arabia can no longer destroy Bibles on a regular basis? Does it mean that Christian churches will no longer be destroyed? Synagogues will no longer be vandalized? *snicker* Yeah…..right! BIG picture! As it is, the only people (?) who are the WORST offenders are the Muslims. Can we please get it straight? Christians and Jews are NOT murdering anyone because of their religion! Muslims ARE!

Father Manuel Musallem, head of Gaza’s Latin church, told the AP that Muslims have ransacked, burned and looted a school and convent that are part of the Gaza Strip’s small Romany Catholic community. He told the AP that crosses were broken, damage was done to a statue of Jesus, and at the Rosary Sister School and nearby convent, prayer books were burned. (source)

At midnight, Muslims arrived on bikes and on foot at the Church of Saint Albert. They stormed into the building, carrying banners and tanks of kerosene. One witness reported hearing them shout, “Destroy! Destroy it! Replace the church with mosque!” Muslims damaged bricks, broke lights, uprooted newly planted trees and set the building on fire. According to the AINA news agency, two churches were attacked in the Baghdad district of Dora. At St. John the Baptist’s in Hay Al-Athoriyeen, several security guards who protect the church were killed, and St. Jacob’s in Hay al Asya was vandalized and forcibly turned into a mosque. (source)
Hundreds of angry Muslims Sunday ransacked two churches in southern Pakistan before setting them on fire after allegations that a Christian had desecrated the Koran, police and officials said. (source)
At least 13 shops were destroyed and the windows of a church damaged, according international news agencies. Although the motivation behind the destruction remains unclear, Reuters claimed the riot started after a Muslim girl was suspected of having sexual relations with two Christian boys. (source)
Should I go on? I can, y’know. There are a LOT of examples of the Muslim “tolerance” for other religions. Do a search for the opposite, and you find very few examples of ‘militants’ of another faith that have behaved as the Muslims have in their ‘tolerance’. Oh, they’re there.

The demolition snuffed out, at least for now, what Muslims termed the Shihab al-Din mosque, a structure they hoped to build on a site close to the massive Church of the Annunciation, where, according to tradition, the Archangel Gabriel told Mary she would give birth to Jesus. (source)

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Quran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?
At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.
Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”

Israel behind planned Koran burning
Manouchehr Mottaki says, “Software for this plan was made by the Zionists following their defeats against Muslims and the Islamic world.”
Israel is behind a US Reverend’s planned Koran burning, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Thursday, according to the official Iranian news agency IRNA.
“The software for this plan was made by the Zionists following their defeats against Muslims and the Islamic world,” Manouchehr said in a meeting with foreign diplomats in Iran.

Has anyone noticed, Muslims just make it up as they go along? They don’t have to have a REAL reason to be thugs. They’ll just pick something out of thin air and make sure the whole world knows, they are ‘offended’. Well, guess what! I don’t give a flip if they are offended. Stop being horse’s patoots, and you might find yourselves in a lot more peaceful state of mind. To accuse Israel of coming up with software that’s behind some guy in Florida’s plan to burn copies of the so called ‘holy book’ is just one more indication these people are grasping at straws. Hey….moron! You don’t need software to burn a book. Ya need a match. Works REAL good. What a buffoon! Oh, and I wasn’t aware Israel had suffered any defeats recently. If you call surviving against all odds, a defeat, then I’d really love to see what would be considered a success.

Pakistani plea: Make Obama supreme leader of Muslims
A Pakistani newspaper is quoting one of the country’s ministers as stating he wants President Obama to offer Muslim prayers at Ground Zero and become the “Caliph,” or ruler, of the Islamic nation.
Am I wrong, or does this mean he really IS a Muslim? I mean, don’t you have to be Muslim in order to be the Caliph? Evidently, this Pakistani believes he is, after all, why else would a President of the United States BOW to the Saudi king. Presidents don’t bow!
“The coming Eid would expectedly be observed on 9/11; this a golden opportunity for President Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero and become Amir-ul-Momineen or Caliph of Muslims. In this way, all the problems of Muslim World would be solved,” stated Minister of State for Industries and Productions Ayatullah Durrani, according to Pakistan’s The Nation newspaper.
Psst!! The only way “all the problems of Muslim World would be solved” is if they stop living in the 7th century. Admit they are brutal backwoods barbarians, and deal with their OWN issues.
Obama’s faith was a central part of his 2008 presidential campaign. His campaign website contained the statement, “Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian.”
Uh…no he’s not. His actions have spoken loud and clear! He can say he’s a toaster, but that doesn’t make him one. Unless I see a bagel pop out…..uh….. the top of his head, of course.

Half-Billion Dollar Schools Can’t Fix American Education

At $578 million, the Robert F. Kennedy School in Los Angeles is the most expensive public school ever built in America. It features a high-tech swimming pool, a chic auditorium, vaulted ceilings, luxury amenities and a design aesthetic worthy of a spread in Architectural Digest. ABC News reports that the school is more expensive than the “Bird’s Nest” stadium in Beijing, China, built for the 2008 Olympics, and the Wall Street Journal notes that it cost more than L.A.’s Staples sports center.
And while a half-billion dollar public school complex would be jarring enough to taxpayers during plush budget times, this public school was constructed at a time when the district faces a $640 million deficit. It’s a red carpet reminder of why California – and so many other states – face severe budget shortfalls.
Deer Ropin’
Nothing more than an “urban legend”, but I thought it was funny as hell.

I had this idea that I was going to rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it.
The first step in this adventure was getting a deer. I figured that, since they congregate at my cattle feeder and do not seem to have much fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up and sniff at the bags of feed while I am in the back of the truck not 4 feet away), it should not be difficult to rope one, get up to it and toss a bag over its head (to calm it down) then hog tie it and transport it home.
I filled the cattle feeder then hid down at the end with my rope.
The cattle, having seen the roping thing before, stayed well back. They were not having any of it.

A Christian minister in Florida is canceling plans to burn Qurans on Sept. 11, heeding an international outcry that drew criticism from President Barack Obama and religious and political leaders across the Muslim world. (source)
Not sure what I think about this. I’m wondering who threatened him, other than the usual suspects. Do ya think this cancellation is really going to placate the Muslims? Naw…..me neither.

The minister of a Florida church said he has canceled plans to burn copies of the Quran because the leader of a much-opposed plan to build an Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its location. The agreement couldn’t be immediately confirmed. (source)

Westboro Baptist Church, the small Topeka, Kan., church that pickets funerals of American soldiers to spread its message that God is punishing the country for being tolerant of homosexuals, has vowed to hold a Quran burning if Gainesville’s Dove World Outreach Center calls its off.
“WBC burned the Koran once – and if you sissy brats of Doomed america bully Terry Jones and the Dove World Outreach Center until they change their plans to burn that blasphemous tripe called the Koran, then WBC will burn it (again), to clearly show you some things,” the church announced in a news release this week. In no way, shape, or form, do I consider WBC a church…..at least not in the sense I consider a church. No doubt, they should probably calls themselves the ‘church of satan’!

After a Year of Setbacks, U.N. Looks to Take Charge of World’s Agenda
After a year of humiliating setbacks, United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon and about 60 of his top lieutenants — the top brass of the entire U.N. system — spent their Labor Day weekend at a remote Austrian Alpine retreat, discussing ways to put their sprawling organization in charge of the world’s agenda.
Details concerning the two-day, closed-door sessions in the comfortable village of Alpbach were closely guarded. Nonetheless, position papers for the meeting obtained by Fox News indicate that the topics included:
– how to restore “climate change” as a top global priority after the fiasco of last year’s Copenhagen summit;
– how to continue to try to make global redistribution of wealth the real basis of that climate agenda, and widen the discussion further to encompass the idea of “global public goods”;
– how to keep growing U.N. peacekeeping efforts into missions involved in the police, courts, legal systems and other aspects of strife-torn countries;
– how to capitalize on the global tide of migrants from poor nations to rich ones, to encompass a new “international migration governance framework”;
– how to make “clever” use of new technologies to deepen direct ties with what the U.N. calls “civil society,” meaning novel ways to bypass its member nation states and deal directly with constituencies that support U.N. agendas.
As one underlying theme of the sessions, the top U.N. bosses seemed to be grappling often with how to cope with the pesky issue of national sovereignty, which — according to the position papers, anyway — continued to thwart many of their most ambitious schemes, especially when it comes to many different kinds of “global governance.”
Not coincidentally, the conclave of bureaucrats also saw in “global governance” a greater role for themselves.
I’m so angry right now, I can’t even come up with the words! Anyone who has been paying any attention at all, has known the Useless Numnuts has never been about keeping the ‘peace’. It’s a power hungry body, that wants to take control of ALL nations, including the United States. Our Constitution means nothing to them, and will be used as fodder for the flames. We already have an administration who uses it for toilet paper. The next step will be for him to hand over the reins to his masters, and make the U.S. a slave state to the whims of a bunch of socialists.

Fidel Castro: Cuba’s Communism Not Working
Cuba’s communist economic model has come in for criticism from an unlikely source: Fidel Castro.
The revolutionary leader told a visiting American journalist and a U.S.-Cuba policy expert that the island’s state-dominated system is in need of change, a rare comment on domestic affairs from a man who has taken pains to steer clear of local issues since illness forced him to step down as president four years ago.
The fact that things are not working efficiently on this cash-strapped Caribbean island is hardly news. Fidel’s brother Raul, the country’s president, has said the same thing repeatedly. But the blunt assessment by the father of Cuba’s 1959 revolution is sure to raise eyebrows.
Well, no sh*t Sherlock! Communism does not work. Never has! Never will! Oh, you can go along for a while, telling your starving people how well off they have it under such a regime, but the truth will ALWAYS come forth, and reality sets in.
Communism kills! It kills the soul as well as the body. Sometimes, it can kill slowly, but quite often, it kills rather quickly.
Death by communism:
Peoples Republic of the Soviet Union – 61,911,000
Peoples Republic of China – 35,236,000
Khmer Rouge Cambodia – 2,035,000
Republic of Cuba – 200,000 to 400,000 (?)
Just to name a few. But we can’t forget the other millions who died from starvation, forced labor, etc., all brought to you by communists. Will we ever find out how many have died in North Korea? I’m fairly sure the numbers are starting to rise under Chavez in Venezuela.
Constructing this utopia was seen as though a war on poverty, exploitation, imperialism, and inequality. And for the greater good, as in a real war, people are killed. And thus this war for the communist utopia had its necessary enemy casualties, the clergy, bourgeoisie, capitalists, wreckers, counterrevolutionaries, rightists, tyrants, rich, landlords, and noncombatants that unfortunately got caught in the battle.

And to many communists, the cause of a communist utopia was such as to justify all the deaths. The irony of this is that communism in practice, even after decades of total control, did not improve the lot of the average person, but usually made their living conditions worse than before the revolution. It is not by chance that the greatest famines have occurred within the Soviet Union (about 5,000,000 dead during 1921-23 and 7,000,000 from 1932-3) and communist China (about 27,000,000 dead from 1959-61). In total almost 55,000,000 people died in various communist famines and associated diseases, a little over 10,000,000 of them from democidal famine. (source)
How about all the lefties favorite commie, Che Guevara, regarded as second in command to Fidel Castro. You know, that guy the clueless out in Hollywood like to use as a fashion accessory. As most mass murderers of his ilk, he preferred his victims bound and gagged before he slaughtered them. Here’s a list of known victims, in case you’re interested. The number of rumored murders by Che’s own hand is somewhere in the thousands.
Did you know that in 1961, President John F. Kennedy had plans to remove all U.S. troops from Vietnam, disentangle, so to speak. Unfortunately, he was murdered before the plan could take place, and I’m sure we all know the results of Johnson’s leadership. So, even though we were fighting to prevent the spread of communism in other countries, we still took seriously losses. 57,000.
Yes, indeed, communist murders. The heart of a country is destroyed by corruption, or some such thing, and those sporting evil ideology steps in. “We’ll take care of the problem.” People get disappeared, into prisons, or perhaps into the killing fields, where the officials tell you that you will be re-educated. If you happen to disagree, you may find yourself someplace you do NOT want to be, like staring down the barrel of a gun.
Being shot must be a whole lot easier than suffering the other ravages of communism. Mass starvation, lack of health care, not enough funds to put shoes on your children’s feet, while watching them slowly starve to death. Since everything belongs to everyone, wouldn’t you think there would be plenty of food to be had? No. When the state takes over food production, employing many who have never worked in such an industry, the failures become BIG failures. It is not the paradise so many would like to believe. Everything you do, say, or even think, is totally controlled by someone else, with a fancy title, who doesn’t know you, doesn’t care about you, and could care less if you die.
So, no, Mr Fidel, communism does NOT work. If you want cloned workers, perhaps someone should talk to the folks who brought us Dolly.

Brace for Global Cooling, Says the Old Farmer’s Almanac
Most of the country will see a colder-than-usual winter while summer and spring will be relatively cool and dry, according to the time-honored, complex calculations of the “Old Farmer’s Almanac.”
The 2011 issue of the almanac, which claims to be the nation’s oldest continuously published periodical, was released Tuesday. It predicts that in the coming months, the Earth will continue to see a “gradual cooling of the atmosphere … offset by any warming caused by increased greenhouse gases.”
What?? You mean ol’ Al isn’t out there yelling and screeching? “THE EARTH HAS A FEVER….!?!” Isn’t it just amusing how rich Gore has gotten from preaching NORMAL earth cycles as “global warming”.

In response to Gen David Petraeus’ denunciation of Florida pastor Terry Jones’ right to engage in a symbolic protest of the 9/11 attacks by burning copies of the Quran this Sept. 11, President Obama said: “Let me be clear: As a citizen, and as president, I believe that members of the Dove World Outreach Center have the same right to freedom of speech and religion as anyone else in this country.”
Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida lauded Obama’s remarks, saying America is “a place where you’re supposed to be able to practice your religion without the government telling you you can’t.”
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Obama’s words a “clarion defense of the freedom of religion” — and also claimed that he had recently run into a filthy jihadist who actually supported the Quran-burning!
Keith Olbermann read the poem “First they came …” on air in defense of the Quran-burners, nearly bringing himself to tears at his own profundity.
