Use The Duct Tape….PLEASE!
America hasn’t improved much over past 3 decades, Jimmy Carter says
America is no better off now than it was in the late 1970s and early 1980s, says former President Jimmy Carter. From national politics to relationships with other nations, there is a lot of room for improvement.
“We had almost complete harmony with every nation on Earth,” the Nobel Peace Prize winner said of his administration. “We not only preserved peace for our country, we never went to war. We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a missile.”
Would someone please take him back to the facilities for the doddering insane? Get the meds ready, and that wrap around jacket as well! Harmony? Seriously? Does he not remember OUR citizens being held on HIS watch, against their will? Well, the man obviously has selective memory. It might be a real good idea for him to just stop talking. Honestly, I don’t see how he manages considering he’s had both feet shoved so far down his throat, he can scratch his hinder with his toenails. I remember the Carter years REAL well. They were NOT all warm fuzzies, even if that’s how he wants to portray them. Gas lines, HIGH unemployment, HIGH interest rates, and the list goes on. And that “Peace” Accord? As useless as the paper it was written on! The man claims to be a Christian, and while he does build houses that fall down, no true Christian can be so anti-Israel, and pro-terrorist!
At one time, I would have said that Jimmy Carter was the worst example of an American president ever. The guy he praises, consistently, has taken over that honor.
-8 Days & Counting
In 8 days, people will begin going to the polls to vote. At least that’s how I pray it will go. As much as I would love to believe that folks are basically honest, there is a certain segment of our population who has proven time and time again, there is no such thing as honor in their vocabulary.
Judson points out a few examples in his WND piece today:
Remember 2000: Al Gore’s amateurish attempt to steal the Florida election? Do you remember the “hanging chads” and the circus that went on until the United States Supreme Court finally put an end to it?
How about 2004? Dino Rossi was declared the winner of the Washington governor’s race by the initial vote count and an automated recount. Only on a “hand count” did enough votes for Christine Gregorie suddenly appear to make her the governor.
How about the 2008 election for Minnesota Senate seat? Norm Coleman won that race by a tiny amount. Al Franken’s lawyers descended upon the election commission demanding that disqualified ballots for Franken be included and disqualified ballots for Coleman not be. Coleman went from a lead of several hundred to trailing Franken by several hundred. Mysterious absentee ballots appeared, which amazingly went for Franken in overwhelming numbers.
In 2008, Black Panthers stood at a polling place with nightsticks, threatening voters. The Obama regime ordered the Department of Justice to seek to have a default judgment against the Black Panthers set aside and the case dismissed. Now, in Texas, citizens have been doing a remarkable job of ferreting out voter fraud and insisting that the voting rolls be accurate. The Obama Department of Justice is now investigating this!
And these are just the best known occurrences. There are many more! While we on the right believe in honor, the truth is, there are many on the left who will do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to make sure their slave masters keep their power, including lie, cheat and steal. If I’m going to be one hundred percent honest, I will have to say that I wouldn’t doubt murder could, and possibly has, come into play. But that’s just a gut feeling, based on no fact. I say that because I’ve seen the violence of the left, when someone disagrees with them, and it’s quite ugly. Evil describes it pretty well.
How do we counter what is turning into an ugly election cycle? The truth. Open, honest, reality based truth. And vigilance! If we allow the left to steal what should be an overwhelming landslide, then we may never have open elections again. I can only pray that every single right minded individual takes the time to make use of their right, and duty, to vote. Do not let the Prince of Lies gain a stronger foothold in this nation!
Heading Back Home
After what I thought was going to be a nice leisurely drive south on Skyline Drive, we finally, after almost 9 hours have stopped for the evening. Only got to stop once to gawk at the pretty colors.
But it was much more colorful than my trip through there a few weeks ago.
After getting back on the freeway, we discover there has been a wreck about ten miles up the road, so decide to exit while we could. Traffic was already stopping. Well, this would have been a great idea if I hadn’t turned when I shouldn’t have after hitting Roanoke. What should have been about a 5 hour drive ended up being 9 hours. Now, it wasn’t too bad when the sun was still up, but lemme tell ya….it get DARK in dem dere hills at night! There was quite a bit of traffic too. Couldn’t figure that one out….till we hit the motel.
Hamlin wins at Martinsville, cuts into points lead
Oh yippee. Lucky us. We get tangled up in traffic of Nascar fans! Ever been behind a bus full of fans in the dark of night, on seriously up and down, curvy mountain roads, doing about 20 miles an hour? Yeah…it’s LOADS of fun.
The Reception
Well, last night, I posted a few pics of Katie & Erich’s wedding. Tonight, after an extremely stressful drive, I’m going to add a few of the reception. I haven’t really gone through all the pics, but did pick out a few I enjoyed.
Fair warning, the quality of the videos ain’t so swuft, but oh well.
An Observation
While snooping through a few sites this morning, I came across an EXTREMELY biased piece in The Tennessean. It’s not surprising that there is bias at this fish wrap, it is, after all a Gannett publication. What’s surprising was the complete lack of objectivity. Evidently, anyone who is against the spread of Islam into the U.S. is just hate filled, yada yada.
Instead of me picking it apart, go and read the five page piece for yourself. If I’m off base in my observation, please let me know. I’ll be happy to listen. One of the things I found particularly offensive was the obsession with the dollar amount they insisted on inserting into the piece from one side, but said NOTHING about the so called ‘non-profits’ that the Muslims in the country run that support terrorism.
Is it really so difficult for the left loons to understand we would like to STOP the Islamification to save their sorry asses, from themselves? I guess it must be.
A Beautiful Day For a Beautiful Bride
Well, today was the big day! Katie and Erich are now Captain and Mrs! Just a few shots of the wedding.
Maid of honor, the beautiful Kristin (sister), and brides maids.
After the ceremony. Isn’t she beautiful?
Got a ton of pictures and such, but THIS was my favorite part! I had planned to record it on the handy dandy Flip Video, but it turned out….the bloomin’ batteries were dead. sigh….
It was “Welcome to the Army!”
Baby brother and oldest sister.
The woman NEEDS a vacation! LOL
Since I am unbelievably exhausted, the reception pics are just going to have to wait! LOL I did put fresh batteries in the Flip, so did get some rather entertaining videos of the troops dancing. But, maybe tomorrow, I’ll share. Heh. Heard my very first Miley Cyrus song, too. And hopefully, the last. Heh.

Rangers Beat Yankees, 6-1, to Advance to World Series for First Time
The Texas Rangers reached the World Series for the first time, with Vladimir Guerrero driving in three runs and Nelson Cruz homering in a 6-1 win over the New York Yankees on Friday night in Game 6 of the AL championship series.
I’m not a big baseball fan, but I AM a Texan! So, I reckon there’s a little bit of Texas pride going on here.

French Senate OKs retirement reform in tense vote
The French Senate, pushed into an early vote, approved on Friday a hotly contested bill raising the retirement age to 62, hours after riot police forced the reopening of a strategic refinery to help halt growing fuel shortages amid nationwide strikes and protests.
In tense balloting after 140 hours of debate, the Senate voted 177-153 for the pension reform. The measure is expected to win final formal approval by both houses of parliament next week.
President Nicolas Sarkozy’s conservative government, keen to get the measure passed and quell increasingly radicalized protests, cut short the debate and voting process using a special procedure. Critics on the left dubbed the use of Article 44-3 of the Constitution a denial of democracy.
I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around this, and am having no luck at all. So, these entitlement minded types believe having to work a couple more years so they’ll actually have something to retire on is a bad thing? The average life expectancy in France is about 81 years old. So, if the average Frenchman lives to 81, that leaves 19 years of retirement, instead of 21. Uh….what’s the problem? Would these morons prefer their country totally collapse due to financial issues, or would they rather have the ability to work to feed their families. I just don’t get it!
But then, I don’t understand the union/communist mindset anyway. Seems to me, all they are doing is hurting their fellow citizens, but the union/communist are never concerned about others anyways.

Runaway Crocodile Blamed for Plane Crash
An escaped crocodile may have caused a plane crash which killed a British man and 19 other people, according to the sole survivor.
The reptile apparently freed itself from a bag, sparking a stampede of panicking passengers on the flight over the Democratic Republic of Congo.
I don’t even know what to say. What kind of bloomin’ idiot puts a crocodile in a bag, and carries it on board a plane? I can only guess it wasn’t a full size croc? But either way, people are dead, and this is not a good thing.

Republicans Kind of Suck … Which Is Why They Will Win Huge in November
by Frank J. Fleming
This election season has been hard on pundits. The Democrats are going to get massacred in November, and it’s really obvious to pretty much everyone exactly why — which makes writing political commentary like trying to come up with a long-winded explanation for why two plus two equals four.
Here’s my attempt.
Doesn’t it suck when you have a dog that barks all night? Everyone hates that. It’s annoying. It can even drive you pretty crazy if it goes on long enough. People hate that.
Know what also sucks? A zombie apocalypse. That’s when society collapses due to some spreading zombie virus, and most of your friends and family are dead, and you have to scrounge for food to survive while the walking dead threaten you around every corner. People also hate that.
So, we’re all agreed that a barking dog and a zombie apocalypse both suck. Everyone following so far?

Woman seeks ‘Christian roommate,’ state cites her for discrimination
A single, 31-year-old woman in Michigan who posted a note on her church bulletin board seeking a “Christian roommate” to share her residence has been cited by the state for violating the Fair Housing Act by discriminating against those of other faiths.
The complaint signed by Tyra Khan, a “Civil Rights Representative” of the state of Michigan Department of Civil Rights, surfaced when the Alliance Defense Fund announced today it was representing the woman.
So, let me get this straight…..a woman….who owns a home, is seeking a like minded roommate, and some twit from the state is telling her it’s wrong? She can’t decide what type of person lives under her roof? I don’t bloody well think so! Read the Fair Housing pamphlet put out by MI Dept of Civil Rights. It says NOTHING about someone wanting to rent a room to an individual in their OWN HOME!
I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that Mzzzzzz Khan is not a Christian? Looking up the origin of the name, I’d say it’s a pretty good bet. Not to mention this is the Muslim Republic of Michigan, the odds of winning that bet increase.
I’d like to ask….since when does some state employee browse church bulletin boards? Doesn’t that violate their mantra of ‘separation of church and state’? Which, if you don’t know, is NOT in the U.S. Constitution. Or do they only use it when it suits their purpose? Hmmm….
If ever there was an organization that deserves our support, it’s the Alliance Defense Fund. Who knows, maybe one of these days, one of us is going to need their services. Not too many standing up for OUR side these days.

My 2 Cents
So, many folks have weighed in on the NPR-Juan Williams flap. If you’ve been under a rock, NPR fired the left leaning Juan Williams for stating what a large majority of Americans think(full video). Most people DO feel a bit nervous on a plane when obvious Muslims are also on board. So far, in my flying experience, it’s not happened. But honestly, I DO get a bit nervous when I recognize Arab looking folks. Why? Remember 9/11? Am I bigoted against Arabs? I doubt if my first generation American Lebanese mom would think so. After the Iranian hostage situation, she was fairly wary of Arab looking folks too.
Then, of course, the NPR lefty CEO had to spew more crap. Someone actually gives this person a salary? So, it’s not the job of an NPR news analyst to express opinions? Really? Ever listened to that nonsense that flows over the airways? Jeeez!
So, what do I think? Well, I’ll be honest. I rarely agree with much that Juan says, BUT……….. I will fight for his right to speak his mind. Should NPR have fired him for his remarks? Only when they fire every other employ for saying MUCH MUCH worse than anything Juan has ever said.
I guess their actions just prove there is no such thing as the 1st Amendment if you don’t fall into the left’s round holes. While NPR continues to post material from the extremely offensive Mark Fiore (which I will not link), they fire the only black male on their staff. Are they racists? One might think so. They are obviously not an objective news source.
