Charlotte Bergmann: VERY Relevant!

He dismisses his general election opponent, who won the Republican nomination Thursday, as misguided and irrelevant. “Neither she nor Sidney Chism understand the African-American voter. If she understood (them), she wouldn’t be running on an extreme, right-wing, tea party platform that works totally against the interests of the African-American community.”
This is the woman who Cohen says doesn’t understand the “African-American voter”. Is she “irrelevant” because she is a woman? Or, because she is a black American? Or is it because she is pro-life and pro-family? Perhaps, she is “irrelevant” to Cohen, because she is actually part of the community of Memphis, and a CONSERVATIVE WOMAN. If the truth were to be known, in my personal opinion, Steve Cohen is the one who is irrelevant! Since when does the U.S. Constitution work against the “African-American community”?

Pelosi: Should She Stay Or Should She Go?
A new Gallup Poll survey shows Pelosi’s approval ratings plummeted seven points since spring to 29 percent. That’s the lowest approval mark since she took the Speaker’s gavel in January, 2007.
Seriously? It’s THAT high? Believe me when I tell ya…that really surprises me. I would have thought it would be somewhere in the negative range! Well, at least in the single digits. 
And now, rarely a day passes without an imperiled House Democrat dissing Pelosi.
“From what we’re hearing, she’s probably not going to run for speaker again,” said Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-NC) on WWAY-TV in Wilmington, NC, earlier this week.
A House Democratic aide says that’s not true. But McIntyre is happy to build some real estate between himself and the unpopular speaker.
Well, luckily, it won’t even be an issue come November 3rd! 
She can’t be Speaker if she’s not in the majority party, right? In other words, a vote on the 2nd for CONSERVATIVES is a vote AGAINST the Queen Moonbat.
“I’m confident she’s going to have opposition and I look forward to supporting that opposition,” McIntyre said.
Rep. Jason Altmire (D-PA) told Roll Call that the next Congress would “necessitate new leadership in the Speaker’s position.”
Well, yeah. It’s going to be a Republican. DUH!
FYI…I am thinking positively, and believing my fellow right wing extremists will exercise their RIGHT to vote!

In last week’s CNN debate in the Delaware Senate race between the astonishingly well-spoken Christine O’Donnell and the unfortunate-looking Chris Coons, O’Donnell had to put up with it from Coons for 90 minutes.
O’Donnell wiped the floor with Coons, moderators Wolf Blitzer and Nancy Karibjanian, and the idiotic University of Delaware students asking questions — all of whom were against her.
(With the nation on the verge of another great depression — the brunt of which, to my delight, will fall most heavily on college students — guess what the dunderheads asked? GUESS! That’s right: They asked about abortion “in the case of rape or incest,” “don’t ask, don’t tell,” doing something about “our carbon footprint,” and the kook-minister who was going to burn Korans, because ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE, I TELL YOU!)

Is there a single Democrat attack ad that doesn’t either distort the truth, or flat out lie? Just one? I’ve yet to hear one, and living where we do, we get 3 states worth of ads. Since starting our trip, we’ve gotten even more exposure to such ads. Unbelievable!
I’d still like to know why the VFW-PAC hasn’t pulled their support for leftist incumbents, per the membership’s wishes. Something is WAY outta whack there!
Heard a term on one of the radio talk shows this afternoon, Rush, I think…..TEA-nami! Yep. That’s what November is going to be alright….a TEA-nami! I like that.
I also heard that the NAACP released some report insisting that folks like me are racist. Yeah…ok….whatever you say. Just cuz you say it, doesn’t make it true. I don’t doubt there are some who have attended a rally who have racist tendencies. I can damn sure guarantee there are members of the NAACP who ARE racists! It’s time to drop the slander, ok?
And that’s all I have to say at the moment.

This is an extremely important year. If we want to continue down the path we have been heading as a nation, sit back, do nothing. BUT, if you feel you have a duty to contribute to the process our forefather set forth for us, then get moving! Time is getting short!

Blogging Lite!
Yeah yeah…. I’m off on another adventure! Well, it could be. Going to my youngest (or is Jennifer younger?…sigh..) niece’s wedding. How depressing. The babies are all growed up!
Haven’t seen my oldest sister, the senior citizen, and “baby” brother in quite a while, so it’s a good time to go. We ain’t spring chickens anymore, and who knows when the next time we’ll have a chance to get together, with them being on the east coast and all.
So, that’s the story on that! I’ll be around some though. Can you imagine me without a computer for a WHOLE week? Perish the thought!
If we hadn’t had this planned for almost a year, I’d be on my way to Wisconsin. But, I will be there in spirit tomorrow.

‘Culture of Poverty’ Makes a Comeback reads the headline from this past Sunday’s New York Times. Patricia Cohen goes on to report: “[I]n the overwhelmingly liberal ranks of academic sociology and anthropology the word ‘culture’ became a live grenade, and the idea that attitudes and behavior patterns kept people poor was shunned. Now, after decades of silence, these scholars are speaking openly about you-know-what, conceding that culture and persistent poverty are enmeshed.”
At first, this may seem like the left is finally ready to make a major concession to reality about their decades-long War on Poverty. But a closer reading of Cohen’s source materials, a recent symposium on poverty in The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, shows the opposite is true. The left is just as clueless about poverty as it has ever been. Heritage Foundation Senior Research Fellow in Domestic Policy Studies Robert Rector writes at National Review Online:

Obamacare Sticker Shock: Taxing Over 15,000 Medicines
Nancy Pelosi warned us we’d have to pass Obamacare to find out what’s in it. And what we’re finding we don’t like at all.
Higher insurance premiums are hitting families hard. Medicare Advantage has been decimated. Millions will be forced into government-run Medicaid where long lines and rationing await.
If we like our insurance — too bad.
Beginning January 1, 2011, more than 15,000 over-the-counter (OTC) health care items will require a prescription (and that means a doctor’s visit) for tax-free reimbursement.
I guess you won’t be allowed to have that burrito you love so much, even though it gives you heartburn, eh? Probably won’t be able to have an extra slice of cheese on your burger either cuz it might make ya constipated. And heaven forbid if your baby gets diaper rash!

Obama: Voters ‘Scared,’ Not Thinking Clearly About Election
Americans are so “scared” they’re not thinking straight about the upcoming elections, President Obama
said over the weekend, as he sought to explain why voters are turning to Republican candidates.
The president, speaking at several rallies and fundraisers as part of his final get-out-the-vote stretch, said Republican candidates are “playing on fear” and suggested voters are falling for it. He said Americans have every reason to be worried, but lamented that “facts” aren’t doing his party any good this year.
“People out there are still hurting very badly, and they are still scared. And so part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we’re hard-wired not to always think clearly when we’re scared,” Obama said at a Democratic fundraiser Saturday in Boston. “And the country is scared, and they have good reason to be.”
Oh yes, us poor, silly, scared little voters….too dumb to pour piss out of a boot! Can he be serious? No, I think the one who is scared is Obama! Scared witless he’s going to lose his power! The policies he has foisted on the American people are the reason so many have educated themselves. NO ONE WANTS HIS SOCIALIST AGENDA, and he just doesn’t get it! The minority who is backing him up, the union thugs/communists, are more than happy to go to bat for him. Come to think of it, they’re the type who will use actual bats to get what they want….the hell with rational, liberty loving citizens.
He has embarrassed this nation with his many faux pas…..bowing to foreign heads of state, apologizing to the world, pointing fingers, blaming everyone else for his actions…..totally oblivious to WE, The People. We happen to be able to tell the difference between truth and lies. And if his lips are moving…..
Obama is transparent in his contempt for the American people, as he lectures them to upbraid, while dismissing them as addicted to guns, bibles and conspicuous consumption. (source)
