Questions

Ben Stein asks some VERY compelling questions:

Why are there so many songs about what’s wrong with this glorious America and NO songs about Stalin’s murder of fifty million innocent people? Why are there no songs about the intentional starvation of the Ukraine and its people by the commissars, mass murder against the most beautiful people on the planet there in the Ukraine?

Why were there so many songs against the U.S. attempt to save Vietnam from Communism, and not one song — not ONE — about the mass killings by Ho Chi Minh after 1954 or about the murder of thousands of innocents when the Communists briefly held Hue in the Tet Offensive?

Why have there been no songs about Mao’s murders of tens of millions of Chinese after he seized China in 1949? Why not one song about the amazing brutality of Kim Il Sung or Kim Jong Il of North Korea, who have starved and murdered millions of the most capable people on this earth?

Read the entire column! And remember, these are the same people who still hate this country, many of them holding public office, but glorify the murderers, like Stalin, and Che.

And just what would John Kerry know about being ‘statesman-like’?

The New York Times wants to remove your anonymity.   My thought, if you want to be anonymous, don’t be an ass too!  Sadly, they both seem to go hand in hand these days.

I wasn’t aware Tennessee was a state of wusses.  The heck with the ‘drugs’.  Public hanging works too!

Perhaps, if Wisconsin had allowed teachers to be armed, like so many wanted them to be after the last time a kid stormed a school, THIS wouldn’t have happened.  Just a thought.

Would the Taliban trash have hesitated to shoot an American soldier who was in a cell, and shackled?  No, didn’t think so.

Proof, once again, Congress doesn’t give a DAMN what their BOSSES say!

I find it difficult to believe that Netanyahu could be so oblivious.  Land for peace has NEVER worked, and it never will.

Now THIS is a good thing.

Thems Senators sho’ do likes them sum pork!

Am I the only one who is more than sick of D’Bama’s absurdity?

Espionage has nothing to do with a ‘free press’, nor does treason, in the case of the little worm who should NEVER have been anywhere near classified info.

There is something really wrong in a society where this type of action is becoming all too common.

It was a rough night in Mississippi.

Destroying lives, one meth lab at a time.

How does a friendly snowball fight turn into rock throwing violence?

They are worse than mad dogs, and need to be put down!

BIG Food Police

There is much being said about S. 510 lately. It’s a bill of more than 40,000 words, which leads me to ask…..have they read it? Do they know what’s in it, or does it just sound good on the surface? I mean, who doesn’t want safe food? Food, in my lifetime, has always been pretty safe. (Since the average age for an American woman is around 80, let’s just say I’m pretty much PAST that middle aged mark.) Oh, sure…there have been a few incidences, but as a whole, we have the safest food in the world. You can stop at your local fruit stand, on the side of the road, and buy home grown tomatoes. You can pick up a variety of veggies from your neighbors garden, or you can grow your own, and sell them at the flea market, and always be assured you had the freedom to do so.

Now, with this bill, that assurance is no longer viable. The “Secretary” is being given a whole lot of power over what you do, and personally, I’d like to know, just when did we hand over our personal responsibility to a faceless entity in D.C.?

Do you have a veggie garden?  Do you can the extra, and maybe sell it to raise money for your church?  Or community center, or some such?  Well, too bad!  If you don’t keep detailed records of every little thing you do, then you are out of luck!  That’s a no no.  Do you have honey bees?  Do you sell your honey locally?  Ooops!  Can’t do that either.  Big Brother says so!  If you aren’t registered, if you don’t adhere to all their regulations, if you don’t bow down to Big Government, then lets face it, you are sh*t outta luck!  Perhaps that little extra money you earned by selling your extra veggies, that was being saved to put Jr through college, is gone.

If you read through this bill, you’ll find they have taken great pains to affect EVERY aspect when it comes to any sort of food.  And naturally, when it comes to government, the incompetence will commence immediately.  I wouldn’t count on food being ‘safer’.  As a matter of fact, I’d be more inclined to believe that safety will be the LAST concern of the federal government.

Last night, the Senate voted for cloture on this bill.  You know, when they decide there’s been enough debate, and no matter what the people say, they’re going to do what they damn well please.  My senators?  Lamar Alexander – RINO, is actually a co-sponsor, and Bob Corker – RINO, appears to be all for it.  Interesting that two senators from a state that has a LOT of rural area, and many roadside veggie stands would be for such a thing, don’t you think?

Lamar Alexander – R TN – Bribe For: $190,421 – Against: $4,850
Bob Corker – R TN – Bribe For: $298,639 – Against: $8,850
(source)

*head slap* Oh, I get it now. It’s not about safety, or concern for the citizens! It’s all about the money!

Just Another WikiLeak On An Already Sinking Ship
The Foundry

There is nothing positive that can be said about the release of more than a quarter-million confidential American diplomatic cables by the rogue hacker organization WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks has recklessly and inexcusably put lives at risk. Any U.S. person who cooperated with WikiLeaks has committed a crime and should be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law.

That said, WikiLeaks is not the end of the world. The fundamentals of U.S. relationships with other nations remain unchanged. Leaks are not going to stop nations from cooperating with the U.S., or for that matter sharing secrets with us. Nations cooperate with the U.S. because it is in their interest to do so. And no leak will stop nations from acting in their self-interest.

Ahmadinejad: US planned Wikileaks release to pressure Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Monday that leaked American diplomatic cables recounting Arab calls for the US to launch a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities were intended to stir “mischief.”

According to the cables released Sunday by online whistle-blower Wikileaks, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia repeatedly urged the United States to attack Iran to destroy its nuclear program and to stop Teheran from developing a nuclear weapon.

My first question would be…..why the hell don’t the Saudis take ‘em out? Are they totally incapable of defending their own corner of the world?

“We don’t give any value to these documents,” Ahmadinejad told a news conference “It’s without legal value. Iran and regional states are friends. Such acts of mischief have no impact on relations between nations.”

Ahmadinejad alleged the leaks were an “organized” effort by the US to stir trouble between Iran and Arab neighbors. When asked to comment on the documents, he said “the material was not leaked, but rather released in an organized way,” according to a Press TV report.

Yeah…cuz Obama & Co. are sooooo competent. /snark Does this clown’s elevator go all the way to the top? I don’t THINK so! He’s not called Ahmanutjob for nothin’ y’know!  Even I don’t believe Obama actually wants to put people in harms way, as ‘nutjob is alleging.

Among the first-published documents on Sunday night were nicknames for a number of world leaders. Ahmadinejad was referred to as “Hitler,” French President Nicolas Sarkozy as a “naked emperor,” the German Chancellor was called Angela “Teflon” Merkel and Afghan President Hamid Karzai as “driven by paranoia.” Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, an “Alpha Male,” while President Dmitry Medvedev is “afraid, hesitant.”

I’m curious. Just who was calling these ‘world leaders’ such names? Seems rather immature, IMHO.

I can’t decided if I’d like to see that fool, Julian Assange, show his face around the Podunk parts of the country or not. It won’t be pretty, if he does!

John Bolton thinking of running for president

John Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, announced today he is considering a bid for U.S. president in 2012.

It was his first direct response to months of Internet speculation that he may join the next presidential race.

Bolton was speaking to WND senior reporter Aaron Klein on the latter’s investigative radio show on WABC in New York.

“Yes, I am considering it,” Bolton said when asked if he is considering a 2012 presidential run. “I am very concerned about the direction of national security policy.”

Continued Bolton: “I am concerned that we hardly talk about it at national level debates in the mainstream media. The president, as they say, just seems to view national security issues as an irritation, as a distraction from what his real priorities are.”

Interesting. I’ve always liked Bolton. I find him quite informative when seeing him on the idjit box during interviews. I’ve also noticed he doesn’t seem to let the media get away with asking stupid questions, as many in the media are wont to do.

Now, personally, I am in no way, shape or form, ready to be inundated with politics of 2012.  I haven’t mentally recuperated from that last round.  :?  But, out of all the folks who are being speculated about, this guy does peak my interest.  As time goes on, I may find he doesn’t have the brass set I believe him to have at this point in time, but that remains to be seen.

Legendary funny man Leslie Nielsen died today of complications of pneumonia in a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, this according to his agent. He was 84.

It’s getting quite disconcerting that all the actors I grew up watching on television, and in movies, are dying. :(

Something To Consider

After reading this:

Isaiah 5
4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

I came across this:

Driest November reported since 1962

November 2010 was the driest November in 48 years. The Water Authority has updated its forecast for the 2010-11 winter rainy season, and states that it will be even drier than predicted, well beyond the already severe drought that was predicted.
(…)
“The persistent drought will worsen the condition of the Kinneret. It will lower the groundwater levels and greatly reduce water production of wells, some of which are already below their red lines,” said the Water Authority today.

I wonder how many more signs we’ll have before folks start waking up and turn back to God?  Just wondering off the top of my head.

Matthew 24
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Yep. Things are going to get a whole lot worse!  Whose side on you going to be on?

The Way I See It…..

How truly classless do you have to be to show up at the memorial service for the young lady your brother is accused of murdering?

I have come to the conclusion….this woman is a few fries short of a Happy Meal….yet they keep re-electing her!  What does that say about her constituents?  :?

I can’t be the only person who sees this as an act of war, right?  Since we’ve got the equipment in the vicinity, why not dropped a few bombs on the palace, and be done with it?  The North Korean folks might be relieved to be rid of Mentally Il and Un.

There are still some people left in the world who understand it is better to ‘give, than to receive’.  God Bless him!

When did buying stuff become so much more important than the REAL reason we celebrate the season?

They hate us.  They want to murder our children, but yet, we keep letting ‘em in?   Not real smart!  Time to slam the door!  Am I a bigot?  Getting there, thank to pigs like this!

Light bulbs are suppose to brighten a room.  This garbage does NOT.  They are dull, cast everything in a yellow light, and are ugly!  Gubmint has come up with some really STUPID ideas, but this was has been at the top of my list for a while now!  Stock up, while you can!  And PRAY some common sense will prevail!

I’m all for food safety, but when the federal government gets involved, you can guaran-damn-tee it will cost more, and quality will go down hill!

Just what happened to all that gold at Fort Knox?  Yep, I agree, we NEED to return to the only standard that has actually WORKED for centuries!

Here’s a big WHO CARES, and why doesn’t that fool ever do any jail time?  On the other hand, why is the border patrol so worried about 6 measly ounces when TONS are coming across all the time?

Could we please recuperate from the last election for a few months before they start throwing 2012 at us?  So far, NO ONE who is making gestures is floating my boat!

Gee, can’t imagine why no one, with any sense, is buying into that “religion of peace” male bovine excrement!

I wonder if being Europe’s poorest nation has anything to do with a prominent Communist Party?  Hmmm…

Oh, I just bet they are:?

I’m all for pulling out….NOW!  Totally out, of both Iraq and Afghanistan, and turn the whole ugly area into a field of glass.  But, that’s just me.  :)

What’s that you say about ‘global warming’?  It’s all true?  It sure it making life difficult for some folks!

Hell Awaits!

ON the 20th, I told y’all about a piece of crap who was schedule to die for torture and murder, and the delay. Well, thankfully, his justice is back on! Tuesday, he will stand before the BIG Judge, and find out his REAL punishment!

Tennessee prepares for Tuesday execution of Stephen West

The state is proceeding with plans to execute Stephen West on Tuesday in Nashville, the Department of Correction said Saturday.

West, 48, was convicted of killing a woman and her teenage daughter in Union County in 1986.

Judicial rulings this past week first blocked and then cleared the way for his execution.

Chancellor Claudia Bonnyman stayed the procedure Nov. 19. Bonnyman said in her ruling that the 5 grams of sodium thiopental, the first drug given in the state’s three-drug lethal injection execution method, might be insufficient to knock the inmate out.

You know what would have solved this problem?  NOT waiting for 26 freakin’ years to carry out the sentence!  Typically, I’d say one bullet would do the trick, but I’m thinking perhaps two, just to make sure.  One in the head, one in the heart. The decades of expense for feeding, clothing, housing, and medical care of these animals could be saved if someone would just get on with it! Carry out the sentence! Two years….MAX! No more decades of waiting for justice. Isn’t making the scum ball wait so long “cruel and unusual”? I mean, isn’t that the argument the anti-justice types use all the time?  Just sayin’.

Seriously, get some magic markers, put one of these, right between the eyes, and one right over the heart.  BOOM!  BOOM!  Problem solved, money saved, justice served.

I’m thinking this method would work for LOTS of habitual criminals.  I’m fairly sure the crime rate would go down if we applied a bit of ‘wild west’ logic to our justice system.

MCS Teachers Not Fond of New Grading System

The new grading system in Memphis City Schools is not popular with the teachers.

Under the new system, students deemed as meeting standards or not meeting standards. The old system of A’s, B’s, D’s and F’s, is gone.

Last night at a special meeting, the head of the Memphis Teachers’ Union said the organization didn’t support the program.

That prompted Superintendent Kriner cash to apologize for springing the new system on the teachers.

Cash also promised to work with teachers on a better system.

Who comes up with this crap? What the blazes does “meeting standards” mean? The kid isn’t a complete idiot, but doesn’t know how much of not an idiot he/she is? Is this another one of those ‘feel good’ libtard ideas?  Don’t want the little darlin’s to feel bad they aren’t doing as well as their buds in a class, so it’s nothing more than pass/fail now?   Is this going to actually help kids get into college?  How do they know they need to work harder to get grades they’ll actually NEED to get accepted into college?   What’s next?  NO ONE ever fails?  Won’t that be wonderful?  No child will ever feel bad because they never bothered to crack a book to learn something, while his/her classmates worked hard to learn, and better themselves.  Yeah…that’s really going to work out well for these kids’ future.

They want a better system?  How about actually expecting kids to learn?  Grade them on what they learn, instead of just passing them on with a pat on the head.  There’s a novel concept.  :?
