Highly Recommended!
I read….a LOT! The last few days, I’ve actually been engrossed in a NON fiction. Typically, I prefer fiction cuz I can get enough reality watching the news, and just living life in general. Fiction is a great escape. But I have to say, having the computer off, the phone turned off, and the Kindle on…..I have been totally caught up in non-fiction. Now, I know…there will be some yahoos who will say it IS fiction, but to those yahoos I would say….your memory sucks! It’s that simple! Some folks are so caught up in their hatred for anything to do with George W. Bush, they can’t see what’s been right in front of them for the last 10 years. Well, that’s ok….maybe if they read this book, they’ll actually learn something outside of their own little narrowed view of the world.
So, I repeat…..HIGHLY recommended!
I have said before, he made a lot of decisions I didn’t agree with, and was no where near as conservative as I would have preferred, but after reading this book, I have gained quite a bit of insight, and am thankful for all he did to keep our country safe. I still think he should have kicked some libs ass when they started behaving like whiny spoiled children, but then he’s got a hell of a lot more class than I do, so I suppose he handled some situations much better than most of us would have, and certainly a HELL of a lot better than the current occupant of the White House.

Legendary Cowboys, SMU quarterback Don Meredith dies
Meredith died at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokesman confirmed this morning. The Meredith family’s attorney, Lisa Fine Moses, said his wife, Susan, and daughter Mary were at his side.
Meredith had battled emphysema in recent years and suffered a minor stroke in 2004.
He was the only living Cowboys Ring of Honor member unable to attend the franchise’s September 2009 inaugural game at Cowboys Stadium.
Meredith was the original Dallas Cowboy, signing a personal services contract on Nov. 28, 1959, two months before the franchise officially gained admittance into the NFL.
I grew up on the Dallas Cowboys. My first exposure to football, was the Cowboys. My dad was a Cowboy fanatic, so, by default, our family became Cowboy fanatics, to a lesser degree. My mom’s all time favorite Cowboy……Dandy Don. One class act! They just don’t make ‘m like that anymore!
Rest in peace, sir. You’ve earned your place in the Pro-Bowl in the Sky!

Last Friday the Labor Department reported that private sector employers added an anemic 50,000 net jobs to the U.S. economy in November. This is far fewer than what is needed to absorb discouraged workers reentering the workforce or population growth. As a result, unemployment rose to 9.8 percent, marking the 19th consecutive month that our nation’s unemployment rate topped 9 percent, a post–World War II record.
Faced with this record breaking unemployment, what did the leftist Senate majority do the very next day? They voted to raise taxes, of course. Fortunately, a bipartisan coalition of Republican and Democratic Senators defeated the Obama tax hikes, setting the stage for an all-or-nothing tax showdown this week.

I find it both amusing, and more than a little disconcerting, there are so many pushing the ‘class warfare’ BS. EVERYBODY will have their taxes go up on 1 January. So, instead of giving relief to everyone, there are many who don’t understand where jobs actually come from…..and it ain’t the blue collar worker, or the union member. Rich folks own businesses, and if they don’t have money to hire, there aren’t jobs. And if there aren’t jobs, there is no income tax….only tax money going out to those who are unable to find jobs because the companies don’t feel stable enough to add more workers. We NEED the ‘evil rich folks’!
Excuse me? How are we suppose to trust the police to be law abiding citizens if we can’t trust them to actually BE law abiding citizens. Abuse hurts EVERYONE! These clowns need to find other means of employment! I understand the job is stressful, and sometimes you bring your work home with you, but if you are that stressed out, go to the freakin’ gym, and keep your hands OFF your spouse and children! It’s that damn simple!
This was a big secret? Uh….no…actually….a great many of this knew this already!
If they choose to live in the 14th century, that’s their prerogative, but stop trying to shove it down freedom loving folks throats. We have a system that works pretty good, when it’s followed, and we don’t need no stinkin’ sharia!
I noticed gas prices had made a pretty big jump around here last week too. From $2.54 to $2.72, and in some places $280. Thanks ever so much D’Bama. That’s a mighty fine decision you made to ban drilling, while other countries are taking advantage of OUR coastline! Asshat!
Who decides what is valuable to the public? Some mind find MSNBC worth their time. I don’t. There’s is so much hatred coming from their so called ‘reporters’, I’d have to get drunk before spending my time watching their drivel. Some find consider Jon Stewart an actual journalist (no wonder there are so many ill informed people….who vote), when he’s nothing more than a comedienne. Some faceless bureaucrat can NOT decide what’s important to me. I know the truth when I hear it, and I am quite capable of checking out all sides of an issue. It’s not up to the feckless weasels to decide.
Didn’t the voters in California overwhelming reject same sex marriages? This shouldn’t even be an issue before any court! The people spoke, now, enforce the law. Quite simple actually!
So, Facebook is going to screw everything up again. I don’t need them to ‘emphasize’ my personality. I do just fine on my own! Ol’ Broad…..with attitude! Not hard to figure out!
Ya just can’t spend your way to prosperity! At some point in time, those bills have to be paid!

The words ‘ethics’ and ‘honor’ mean absolutely nothing to those who have been ensconced in the Swamp for so long. You see, real rules don’t apply to them. Now, if any of us had done the many things those in Congress had done, we’d all be sitting behind bars. But not them! Noooooooooo! We can’t have the lawmaking lawbreakers actually be PUNISHED for their crimes.
