Nashville Mayor Is Pro-Criminal?

Dean: TN immigration legislation would hurt Nashville economy

Mayor Karl Dean asked Tennessee lawmakers Monday not to approve immigration-related legislation that could hurt the city’s economic development efforts.

“I’m asking them, as the mayor of Nashville, not to do anything that will put our city and our state at a competitive disadvantage,” Dean said in a speech to the Rotary Club of Nashville. “Being a diverse city, a city that is perceived as a friendly, welcoming place, is key to business recruitment. Our hospitality industry and the success of our colleges and universities depend upon it.

I beg your pardon? There are no LEGAL residents of Nashville who will be more than happy to have a job in the hospitality industry?

“We need to be serious right now about jobs and prosperity and education, and we can’t do that if we tie our hands by creating a global reputation as an unwelcoming, unfriendly state. … It’s about doing what’s right and what’s in the best interest of our city’s economy.”

I don’t know ANYONE who doesn’t welcome LEGAL immigrants….well, unless said legal immigrants expect us to adapt to THEIR culture, instead of the other way around.  However, we SHOULD be considered very unfriendly, and unwelcoming to those who choose not to follow the law!

Yes, we DO need to be serious about jobs.  I wonder how many kids would LOVE an after school job but can’t get one because someone has decided that an illegal needs it so much more?  Just askin’.  And, about that education?  Well, I have NO issue providing an education for children of LEGAL residents, and I don’t know anyone who does.  However, why should we be required to pay for the education of someone who broke in the back door?  No, the kids aren’t to blame, but the parents sure are, and should NOT be rewarded by giving their children an education at OUR expense.

If I had my druthers, I’d have this clown arrested for aiding and abetting criminals!  But hey…that’s just me.

Struck Down

Federal judge in Va. strikes down health care law

A federal judge in Virginia has declared the Obama administration’s health care reform law unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson is the first judge to rule against the law, which has been upheld by two others in Virginia and Michigan.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed the lawsuit challenging the law’s requirement that citizens buy health insurance or pay a penalty starting in 2014.

He argues the federal government doesn’t have the constitutional authority to impose the requirement.

The federal government has been doing a LOT of things they do not have the constitutional authority to do, but that hasn’t stopped them. Perhaps, now, we can get things back on track, and abolish ALL the unconstitutional crap they have been foisting on us in the last few……decades?  I know this war isn’t over, but it’s a damn good victory.

Hating Americans

Liberals Leave The Reservation
The Foundry

Any piece of legislation must be both constitutional and improve the condition of the American people. When President Obama and Congressional Republicans first announced their tax deal early last week, our reaction was to hold our noses against its bad elements; on balance, we thought the extension of the current tax rates was laudable. Now, however, the full text of the bill has been released and we see all the bad things that were in the original deal. Meanwhile, liberals in Congress are walking away even from that deal, and are holding the country hostage to their hatred of those they call “the rich.” The tax cut deal, we now know, has been so freighted with liberal special interest tax giveaways that true conservatives cannot support it in good faith.

The blame for this state of affairs will be on the left. Tax rates will go up on all Americans on Jan. 1, hitting a country beset with 10 percent unemployment and a stagnant economy. It’s baffling that, two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the left has held fast to its belief that penalizing success will somehow incentivize hard work and produce wealth.

Perusing The Papers….Coffee In Hand!

Perhaps India will be able to stop the GROPERS?  Heaven knows, the American CITIZENS sure haven’t had much say.  (insert appropriate four lettered words here)

HEY!  Algore!!  You still out there in sunny California?  Where’s the ‘fever’ you were talkin’ about??

I, for one, am grateful for incompetent terrorists!

It’s not a cut.  Period.  We have a tax rate, already at a certain level, leave it at that level, and it is NOT cutting.  It WILL be an INCREASE if the ‘powers that be’ don’t remove their heads from their hinders.  And INCREASING spending is not cutting either.  Destroying family businesses due to death is nothing more than GOVERNMENT GREED!  Who works for who. again??  Scrap this deal!

Actually, Ahmadinnerjacket is an insult to RATIONAL people, and should be dealt with appropriately.

So, let me get this straight.  A U.S. pastor, who did nothing more than try to point out the violence and evil perpetrated by a so called ‘holy book’ is a security threat to the U.K., but the ones who are taking over the country, through stealth and violence are not?  Uh huh.  Got it.

If no progress has been made in embryonic stems cells, with the current strands, and much has been made with adult, then why do baby murder advocates insist on continuing to kill potential human beings?  For money?  I don’t get it.

Totin’ ammo in your carry on these days, is probably not a real good idea, even if you are Don King.  :?

I have no doubt there are going to be even more long term affects of the oil spill.  It’s a funny thing though….this ol’ planet has a real talent for healing itself, and usually much better, WITHOUT our interference.  How about allowing drilling closer to shore, so there would be less danger, and more ability to be ‘on the scene’ if anything did happen?  Just a thought.

I have pictures of my unhappiness with Santa, too.  Heh.

It’s not too difficult to understand the desire of self-determination.

Uh….is it really appropriate to compare Bayh to Moses?  Moses, if I’m not mistaken, was more of the ‘you don’t work, you don’t eat’ sort.  I find the comparison to a person whose party is a ‘redistribution of wealth’ sort, rather insulting.  :?

Kerry, an expert on nothing except military bashing, pushing stupidity.

It is not the job of the federal government to feed children, or control what they eat.
