Hating Americans

Liberals Leave The Reservation
The Foundry

Any piece of legislation must be both constitutional and improve the condition of the American people. When President Obama and Congressional Republicans first announced their tax deal early last week, our reaction was to hold our noses against its bad elements; on balance, we thought the extension of the current tax rates was laudable. Now, however, the full text of the bill has been released and we see all the bad things that were in the original deal. Meanwhile, liberals in Congress are walking away even from that deal, and are holding the country hostage to their hatred of those they call “the rich.” The tax cut deal, we now know, has been so freighted with liberal special interest tax giveaways that true conservatives cannot support it in good faith.

The blame for this state of affairs will be on the left. Tax rates will go up on all Americans on Jan. 1, hitting a country beset with 10 percent unemployment and a stagnant economy. It’s baffling that, two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the left has held fast to its belief that penalizing success will somehow incentivize hard work and produce wealth.

Perusing The Papers….Coffee In Hand!

Perhaps India will be able to stop the GROPERS?  Heaven knows, the American CITIZENS sure haven’t had much say.  (insert appropriate four lettered words here)

HEY!  Algore!!  You still out there in sunny California?  Where’s the ‘fever’ you were talkin’ about??

I, for one, am grateful for incompetent terrorists!

It’s not a cut.  Period.  We have a tax rate, already at a certain level, leave it at that level, and it is NOT cutting.  It WILL be an INCREASE if the ‘powers that be’ don’t remove their heads from their hinders.  And INCREASING spending is not cutting either.  Destroying family businesses due to death is nothing more than GOVERNMENT GREED!  Who works for who. again??  Scrap this deal!

Actually, Ahmadinnerjacket is an insult to RATIONAL people, and should be dealt with appropriately.

So, let me get this straight.  A U.S. pastor, who did nothing more than try to point out the violence and evil perpetrated by a so called ‘holy book’ is a security threat to the U.K., but the ones who are taking over the country, through stealth and violence are not?  Uh huh.  Got it.

If no progress has been made in embryonic stems cells, with the current strands, and much has been made with adult, then why do baby murder advocates insist on continuing to kill potential human beings?  For money?  I don’t get it.

Totin’ ammo in your carry on these days, is probably not a real good idea, even if you are Don King.  :?

I have no doubt there are going to be even more long term affects of the oil spill.  It’s a funny thing though….this ol’ planet has a real talent for healing itself, and usually much better, WITHOUT our interference.  How about allowing drilling closer to shore, so there would be less danger, and more ability to be ‘on the scene’ if anything did happen?  Just a thought.

I have pictures of my unhappiness with Santa, too.  Heh.

It’s not too difficult to understand the desire of self-determination.

Uh….is it really appropriate to compare Bayh to Moses?  Moses, if I’m not mistaken, was more of the ‘you don’t work, you don’t eat’ sort.  I find the comparison to a person whose party is a ‘redistribution of wealth’ sort, rather insulting.  :?

Kerry, an expert on nothing except military bashing, pushing stupidity.

It is not the job of the federal government to feed children, or control what they eat.

Nope.  Not a thing.  Had computer closed all day.  Gonna close it again shortly.  It’s raining, thundering, lightening, and we have a winter storm warning, too.  :?   Good weather for burying your nose in a book while watching some weird food show….eating cobras and poison toads?  I don’t flippin’ think so!  YUCK!

Fatback

Fatbacka cut of meat from a domestic pig. It consists of the layer of adipose tissue (subcutaneous fat) under the skin of the back, with or without the skin (pork rind). Fatback is “hard fat”, distinct from the visceral fat that occurs in the abdominal cavity and is called “soft fat” and leaf lard.

Like other types of pig fat, fatback may be rendered to make a high quality lard, and is one source of salt pork. Finely diced or coarsely ground fatback is an important ingredient in sausage making and in some meat dishes.

Conservatives Peeved After GOP Taps ‘Prince of Pork’ to Lead Spending Committee

Republicans who captured the House last month in part on the strength of a promise to rein in government spending have tapped a veteran lawmaker known as the “prince of pork” to head the powerful House Appropriations Committee. And the decision’s not sitting so well among some conservatives.

Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers, who earned the “pork” nickname by steering hundreds of millions of federal dollars to projects in his rural district in Kentucky over a 30-year career in Congress, will chair the 60-member Appropriations Committee, the panel responsible for disbursing more than $1 trillion in non-entitlement-program dollars every year.

Rogers beat two other House veterans with a history of securing earmarks, or special projects, for their districts — former committee chairman Jerry Lewis of California and Jack Kingston of Georgia. All three campaigned for the position by vowing to carry out the GOP’s pledge to ban earmarks and stressing that they were the best man to realize Republicans’ election promises to drastically slash federal spending.

Are they totally deaf? Did they not get the message? Is it so ingrained in the D.C. DNA they can’t see the handwriting on the wall?  There were no other choices available that the ‘leadership’ had to slap us all in the face?

But the longtime congressman has a very long list of earmarks under his belt, a fact that may rankle the new guard of spend-averse Tea Partiers. “I don’t think the response is going to be good,” conservative Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., said on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show.

You have NO idea just how “not good” the response is going to be! We were not kidding! We did not work hard to get the tax and spenders out of power just to let the ‘Republicans’ continue on their merry way, doing the same damn thing!  You better rethink your selection, and get someone who has a clue just HOW angry we are!  Do the Republicans want to become a foot note in history?

Not “Students”……Scum

Defacing the Cenotaph, urinating on Churchill… how young thugs at student protest broke every taboo

In a grotesque insult to those who championed the very freedoms which allowed them to stage their protest, a baying rabble of masked and hooded troublemakers turned a student demonstration into anarchy yesterday.

They defiled a statue of Winston Churchill by urinating on it, ripped flags from the Cenotaph – the nation’s sacred memorial to those who died in the name of liberty – then lit fires and sprayed slogans on the ground in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament.

The physical victims of their violence, inevitably, were the police.

When I first heard about the student fees in England going up, from the equivalent of $6,300, I thought, well, that sucks. When I heard how much it would be, the equivalent of $22,000, I thought, that seriously sucks! I had some sympathy for them, and thought it was way too much of a jump in tuition fees to make a lot of sense. Couldn’t they have increased the fees gradually, over time?

I no longer have an ounce of sympathy for these animals!  NONE!  They do not deserve DICK!  They are owed NOTHING!  Instead, they should, every last one of them, be prosecuted, slammed behind bars, and never have an opportunity to even read a book in freedom!  Harsh?  Yeah…maybe.  But to spit on the very ones who gave them the freedom to act like pigs, it’s just beyond comprehension.

These are not ‘students’.  No one with the desire to learn, to better themselves, would behave in such a manner.  They are nothing more than animals, and deserve to be treated as such.

Senate Blocks Repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

Senate Republicans have blocked legislation that would have repealed the military’s policy of “don’t ask, don’t tell” and allowed gay troops to serve openly.

Democrats failed Thursday to cinch a procedural deal with Republicans in the waning days of the lame-duck session. The 57-40 test vote fell three votes short of the 60 needed to advance.

Don’t, for one minute, assume this will quietly go away.  Rest assured, there will be more battles ahead.

That being said…my 2 cents.  I honestly don’t care if you are gay or not!  That is between you and God.  How you deal with your sexuality…..your business too.  When it comes to the fighting men and women, shouldn’t THEY decide if they can share quarters with a homosexual?  Many seem to be very against the idea of serving with openly the gay.  Why not listen to them?  Don’t ask a bunch of yahoos sitting behind a desk who probably wouldn’t know what to do with the business end of a bayonet.  Ask the ones who are actually doing the fighting, and dying!

Personally, I am against it, but then again, I’m against women fighting in combat, too.  But, that’s just me.

Thinking “Out Loud”

9 December 2010, 7:40 am. 5 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

There has been much talk lately, coming out of Washington….naturally, about the Republicans holding hostages.  Seriously?  Comparing your fellow Americans to terrorists is now the thing that gets Democrat lefties all excited?  This is what they call working together I guess.  Considering the Democrats haven’t ‘worked’ with anyone but themselves for the last couple of years, and has held AMERICA hostage with the continuous push of their socialist agenda, I find it rather disingenuous for them to bandying around such terms.  We do NOT want ObamaCare!  We do not AMNESTY for millions of illegal invaders!  We’re being “tortured” by those in D.C., and they have the cajones to spew such insults…at US?  I’m inclined to agree with Senator DeMint!  Scrap this deal!  Retain the tax rates and leave the unemployment as is….actually cut it!  We have already saddled our grandchildren with too much debt, and must work to resolve that issue….NOW!

And all because the Republicans tried to do what we told them to do….keep taxes low, no new spending and cut current spending.  We thought the message was pretty clear.  They got the extension for people to keep their own money, even those evil ‘millionaires’ that make more than $250K…you know the ones who actually create the jobs?  But they also saddled us with more spending by extending what was a generous 26 weeks of unemployment to 2 years?  (It was 99 weeks, and they added 13 months, so wouldn’t that make it longer?  I’m a little fuzzy on this.)  So, who was holding who hostage?   There’s not even a guarantee that people will be able to keep their money.  Some say it’s a no brainer.  Well, obviously, there are quite a few in Washington with no brains.  :?

Even with a 2 year extension, it’s my opinion that this will do little to alleviate the worries of small business owners. What happens at the end of those two years? Will Congress insist on stealing more money to pay for socializing the country and keep people in poverty? I don’t have much faith in Republicans to steer back on course, and none at all in Democrats.

The current occupant made all kinds of promises, most of which rational thinking people realized were nothing more than empty, to fool the non thinking into voting for him.  He was gonna SAVE the world.  Gimme a break!  What he was telling you was that he was going to make sure you never left poverty, and those who weren’t the working poor, he was gonna make sure you joined your fellow citizens.  Working hard for what you have means nothing if someone is going to come along and tell you they believe you have too much, and take it away to give to someone who hasn’t gotten off their hind end in 10 years to achieve anything for him/herself.  Redistribute wealth and all that!  What I’m wondering is if those who bought into his rhetoric really believe you can have something for nothing.  There’s a saying….nothing is free.  That happens to be true.  Oh, there might not be a dollar value put on something, but in the long run, you WILL pay.  Either with the loss of dignity, or the complete loss of liberty.

“Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery?”

Ann on Combat VS “Social”

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Don’t Call Our Troops Homophobes
by Ann Coulter

The Pentagon’s poll on “don’t ask, don’t tell” is beyond idiotic. Instead of asking whether the troops support repeal of DADT, the Pentagon asked only if they can learn to play nice with the gays.

Even more absurdly, the Pentagon polled all military “personnel” — and their spouses! Only a small portion of what is known as “the military” actually does the fighting. The rest is a vast bureaucracy along the lines of the DMV.

Today’s military features “victim advocates” and sensitivity training facilitators, the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services personnel and a million other goo-goo positions. How did we ever take the shores of Normandy without a phalanx of “sensitivity training” counselors?

A Few Items That Caught My Eye

8 December 2010, 9:43 am. 2 Comments. Filed under General News, Opinion.

I would say that Belmont can no longer consider itself a “Christian” school.  Perhaps those so called professors should actually READ the Bible now and then, and find out what’s in it?  You don’t change the Foundation of your faith to suit your social conscience.

They just can’t help themselves, I guess.  Democrats>liberals>progressive>socialists>communists just HATE the idea that anyone should keep their own money, and use it to support their own businesses.   After an election, you lose, pack up your crap, and go home!

I think we need one of these nationwide.  Wonder if the ‘grinch’ types will suffer in the sales?  Hmmm…  I do avoid as many stores as possible that don’t know why they are making they extra sales.  :D

I’ve never understood the obsession of the left to close a place that keeps evil beings behind bars, and away from the world.  If I had my druthers, we wouldn’t be footing the bills for their health and well being.  They’d all be 6 feet under.  One bullet.  Much more efficient.  And cost effective.  Better them dead than me and mine.  It’s called self preservation.

Since Minnesota is getting well known for vote fraud (seriously, Franken?), how much ya wanna bet there were shenanigans going on in this one too?  Heh.  Ok, no proof, but seriously….Franken?

Stealing an inflatable chicken, then blowing it up?  Did they think no one was going to actually see it?  Good grief.  Major mind full of mush!

Competition is healthy.  Although, I don’t think DC has enough common sense to know this.  A spoonful, between the lot of ‘em…..not good for the country!

All that ‘diversity’ and PC BS has gotten them is more racism.  Working out well for y’all, is it?

Maybe such ‘sensitive’ weasels should stay off Santa’s lap?

As much as I would loved to see that country move into the 21st century, and join the civilized world, I just don’t see it happening.  They are too attached to evil, and this young man, and his family, is suffering for it.  Large field of glass!

Dems are in revolt! And some are just plain revolting!  If there was a flat tax, everyone would pay exactly the same percentage.  What could be more fair?  :)
