Report: Arizona Gunman Was Not Motivated By Politics

Arizona massacre gunman Jared Loughner’s downward spiral may have been touched off by a broken high school romance and fueled by drug use — but it was not politically motivated, according to his best friend in high school.

Zach Osler, in an interview Wednesday with ABC’s “Good Morning America,” said: “He did not watch TV. He disliked the news. He didn’t listen to political radio. He didn’t take sides. He wasn’t on the left. He wasn’t on the right.”

Obviously, this…..person…..was down the middle of Loonville Road! Mental illness is not something that should be politicized! But leave it to the left to do just that….even 5 days AFTER the tragedy…refusing to accept the FACTS!  It’s getting REAL old, and makes y’all look like damn fools!

The Reaction SHOULD Be Grief

Instead, Washington is working hard to implement more restrictions on our freedom.  And it’s not just the Democrats this time.  Yes.  The assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was horrible.  The murder of six innocent human beings is reprehensible.   However, this is NOT the time to be scoring political points, for EITHER PARTY!  But that isn’t stopping the weasels who supposedly represent us in Congress to go all out.  Just one example:  Bernie Sanders – socialist – is fund raising on the graves of those slaughtered.

The Daily Caller has Washington’s top five most ridiculous reactions to the Arizona shooting. While all five are seriously over the top, #5 proves, at least to my mind, there is no common sense in Washington, D.C. mindset, coming from a G.W. Bush speechwriter, David Frum:  Since the alleged Tucson gunman liked to smoke pot, the federal government should impose tougher drug laws

After horrific shootings, we hear calls for stricter regulation of guns. The Tucson shooting should remind us why we regulate marijuana.

Jared Lee Loughner, the man held as the Tucson shooter, has been described by those who know as a “pot smoking loner.”

Seriously?  That’s what Frum got out of all this?  Is that tongue in cheek, or is he serious.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think drugs should be legalized, however, I do believe that medical marijuana is a good idea.  Ever had 7 day, throwing up, jackhammer migraine, that no prescription drug would end?  And I’ll leave it at that!

Now, all these ‘proposals’ coming out of D.C. on the blood of the innocent are beyond comprehension, but that isn’t going to stop them.  All the bubble wrap in the world isn’t going to stop an insane person from achieving his or her goals.  We can look back and play the “what if” game, but that won’t change anything either.  “What if” the police had put him on a 72 hour hold in a mental facility each time he had a run in?  “What if” the parents had gotten him some much needed help?  “What if”, instead of being let off with a slap on the hand, the kid had actually been convicted, at least once, for his ‘alleged’ previous crimes? Would THAT perhaps have prevented the murder of a 9 year old little girl, and 5 others? Maybe. Then again, maybe not.

The overreaction of Washington needs to stop.

Massacre, followed by libel
By Charles Krauthammer

The charge: The Tucson massacre is a consequence of the “climate of hate” created by Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Obamacare opponents and sundry other liberal betes noires.

The verdict: Rarely in American political discourse has there been a charge so reckless, so scurrilous and so unsupported by evidence.

As killers go, Jared Loughner is not reticent. Yet among all his writings, postings, videos and other ravings – and in all the testimony from all the people who knew him – there is not a single reference to any of these supposed accessories to murder.

Not only is there no evidence that Loughner was impelled to violence by any of those upon whom Paul Krugman, Keith Olbermann, the New York Times, the Tucson sheriff and other rabid partisans are fixated. There is no evidence that he was responding to anything, political or otherwise, outside of his own head.

IS YOUR BUSINESS MORE VULNERABLE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER?

TALLEY’S LOCK & LOAD in Savannah, TN just reported to TICS that someone tried to break in at their gun store around 3-3:30 a.m this morning. Mr. Talley had to go to his store after learning of the attempted burglary. He reports that he had placed some kind of film on his windows and it helped prevent entry.

I’m sending this advisory out to approx. 875 Tennessee FFLS. Those of you in Hardin County and those counties bordering Hardin may want to keep close watch on your stores. Sounds like this was an amateurish attempt at burglary, but one never knows.

I suppose the burglar(s) may have felt that it would be difficult for police to respond quickly if an alarm went off, and the time of night/day that this occurred would have meant less traffic out and therefore a greater likelihood of a successful getaway. Also fewer people up at that time of morning who might witness anything.

Obama’s Anti-Drilling Agenda
The Foundry

President Obama’s oil spill commission will release its long-awaited final report this morning, recommending new government regulations and limits on drilling. These conclusions could shape the future of the oil industry — and impact our nation’s energy policy for years to come.

The commission’s primary focus was determining the cause of the spill. Last week it revealed that errors by BP, Transocean and Halliburton contributed to the blowout of the Macondo well, resulting in the deaths of 11 people and the worst spill in history.

But the commission’s members have decided to go a step further. The anti-drilling measures recommended in their report would take America in the wrong direction. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Obama picked five members who lack expertise in drilling and have a history of donating to Democrats. One member leads the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Since the media tends to “report” out of context, or get it flat out wrong, I think this is an excellent idea, and more should record them as well.

Is Bloomberg so oblivious he couldn’t see, with his own two eyes, how bad the situation was?  Jeeeez!

If something like this is suppose to be a secret, why do we always hear about it in the media?  That just doesn’t make a bit of sense!  And why, pray tell, would a spy plane be built in a foreign country, instead of right here in the U.S. of A.?

Looks like Georgia got it pretty bad, worse than we did.  So much for that ‘global warming’ BS.

Why isn’t anyone in this administration, or the previous one for that matter, taking the threats out of Iran seriously?

So, how many kids have to die before someone takes a real good look at the people running the show?

I honestly can NOT understand why that fish wrap is still in business!  Lies and distortions do not constitute news!  They should change their name to The Commie Times!

Baby murder is on the rise.

If a planet is gazillions of miles away, how can they tell it has a ‘rocky core’?  :?

We’re leaving.  We’re not leaving.  We’re leaving.  Back and forth.  Just blow the place up already and lets get on with the business of securing OUR borders!

I guess they didn’t include Congress in their study.

When the going gets tough, the UN runs for cover!

Is D.C. going to bow to the whims of a dictator?  Just curious.

Warning systems are pretty useless if they don’t send out a warning BEFORE the catastrophe.

At least someone gets it.  Obviously, countries need to secure their borders.  Why can’t anyone understand it here?  :?   Naturally, the Useless Numnuts have issues.

Territory belongs to the victor.  And you can NOT state that a city that belongs to someone else is the capital of a country that doesn’t exist.

If I could, I’d be right there, standing with the Arizonans against that evil bunch of pond scum!

Forcing something on citizens who don’t want it isn’t very democratic, is it?

Europe, and everyone else, really should stay out of Israel’s business!

Parent One, Parent Two to replace references to mother, father on passport forms

The State Department has decided to make U.S. passport application forms “gender neutral” by removing references to mother and father, officials said, in favor of language that describes one’s parentage somewhat less tenderly.

The change is “in recognition of different types of families,” according to a statement issued just before Christmas that drew widespread attention Friday after a Fox News report.

I wonder what the State Department would do if Parent #1 was scratched out on the form, and replaced with FATHER?

All of us at The Heritage Foundation were profoundly saddened by the tragedy that occurred this past Saturday morning in Tucson, Arizona. The progressive “climate of hate:” An illustrated primer, 2000-2010

The Tuscon massacre ghouls who are now trying to criminalize conservatism have forced our hand.

They need to be reminded. You need to be reminded.

Confront them. Don’t be cowed into silence.

And don’t let the media whitewash the sins of the hypocritical Left in their naked attempt to suppress the law-abiding, constitutionally-protected, peaceful, vigorous political speech of the Right.

They want to play tu quo que in the middle of a national tragedy? They asked for it. They got it.

Read the partial list of offenses here!

To set the record straight….I do not hate the left.  Hatred takes a whole lot more energy than I’m willing to exert!  I do wish there was a cure for their mental illness though.  Unfortunately, no one seems to come up with one, except conservatism, and unless they are willing to take the first step, and admit they have a problem, I’m afraid we’ll just have to keep dealing with their insanity.

“Undocumented” Criminals!

Former deportee convicted of smuggling immigrants

A Mexican national has been convicted of smuggling undocumented workers from Nashville to Florida.

Carlos Alexis Rodriguez-Hernandez, 25, was found guilty Monday in Orlando, Fla., of transporting illegal aliens and illegal re-entry after deportation, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

So, we’re going to have to support this piece of human excrement for up to 20 years?

Rodriguez-Hernandez’s car was stopped in October near Orlando by immigration officials.

He told them he was paid $300 to take three men from Nashville to Dania Beach, Fla., to find work.

The men told investigators that they paid $2,000 to be taken there.

Gosh! You mean a criminal LIED? Call me SHOCKED! /snark

Authorities said Rodriguez-Hernandez also had been deported twice before: once in August 2008 and again in April 2009.

Perhaps it’s time to take drastic measures. Obviously, our laws mean NOTHING to these types, and they don’t seem to mean much to our elected officials either. So, perhaps, if we plant land mines, have gun turrets, and a few gators, rattle snakes and the like on the borders, maybe, just maybe, someone would get the message? Knock, and if you aren’t a criminal thug type, you will be welcomed. Bust in the back door, you will be shot!

Now, for a REAL drastic measure….  Deport once, and only once.  No second chances.  Sneak in again….  Well, I would suggest you wouldn’t like the results.  If we don’t do something to protect our borders, and NOW, we won’t have a country to protect.  It’s not just those ‘undocumented immigrants’ that are sneaking in.  There are serious criminal elements at work, bringing in jihadists from around the world.  I don’t think they’re here to pick fruit!

Let The Evidence Get In The Way….For a Change!

Not that it would make a bit of difference to the left. Facts don’t seem to click in their delusional little world. But just in case there is at least one who hasn’t completely gone off the deep end into insanity, ya might want to take a gander at this. See if you can come up with a few gray cells to figure it all out, then freakin’ apologize to Sarah Palin!
