Good Morning World
Now, one of the reasons that the Mr and I picked Tennessee when it came time to remove ourselves from the Tundra, aka Taxconsin, aka Wisconsin, was because of the weather. It was our understanding it rarely snowed in this part of the state. Well, if this is what they call rare, then I suppose I can live will it, as long as I don’t have to make my way up to the streets!
Not sure why the pics are so dark, cuz it isn’t exactly dark out there, but oh well. As best I can tell from the height of the snow on the deck railing out back, there’s about 5 or 6 inches worth of nasty white stuff, although ya can’t tell by these pics. Without actually going out there with a ruler, it’s hard to tell. And I ain’t doin’ it! I do not like snow. Oh yeah….it’s purdy, and all that, but it’s also cold! And wet! Cold….wet + Ol’ Broad = misery!
Looks like a good day to bury my nose in my Kindle, and escape to the theater of the mind! Almost finished with The Twelfth Iman, and many more to choose from.

He Was NOT A Tea Partier!
Nor, is the tragedy in Arizona Sarah Palin’s fault. She does NOT have blood on her hands. Glenn Beck has NEVER advocated violence! And I’m getting real sick of the Democrats, their leftist blogger mouthpieces, and the pond scum in the lame stream media pushing the lies on the public! The ONLY people I’ve seen pushing for violence are on the far left, and that includes the White House. Are there crazy people on the far right? Oh, you bet there are, but they are NOT Tea Partiers, nor are they instructed by Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck. Those types seem to get a lot of their information from the conspiracy nuts.
The animal that murdered 6 innocent people is, not only a very disturbed individual, but a fan of The Communist Manifesto, just like Anita Dunn‘s hero, Moa Tse Tung, and Mein Kampf.
Six human beings were murdered. A CHILD was murdered. What ever his motivation was, pointing fingers at the innocent is NOT going to solve anything! Gabrielle Giffords isn’t just a Democrat member of Congress. She is an AMERICAN member of Congress. I’d be just as angry if Nancy Pelosi had been attacked, or even Harry Reid. I don’t have to agree with someone’s politics to be appalled by such actions. Sadly, it appears that the left will only feel horror at such an action if the victims agree with their agenda.
During the 8 years of the Bush administration, there were numerous calls for his murder, yet they see this as normal behavior? The left wanted to see Dick Cheney on a slab, and that’s ok? Where was the outrage when Sarah Palin was ‘hung in effigy’? Those fingers that are pointing to others now, have had many fingers pointing back at them…from their own hands.
I honestly don’t give a damn what his politics are! He is a cold blooded murderer! His attack on those innocent people was an attack on Americans, and we ALL should be grieving, instead of casting blame on political opponents. Is civility truly dead dead in this country? Apparently so.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is only one of the many reasons why we are so divided. I pray God will have mercy on us all. I fear He will not.

A Little Angel
9-year-old victim of deadly rampage identified
The identity of the 9-year-old tragically killed in this morning’s deadly rampage is Christina Taylor Greene.
Family says she was vibrant, excited about life, and she was the “best daughter in the world.”
Born on September 11, 2001, Greene was excited about the political process, was on the student government, and went to the Giffords event today to learn more about the political process, family members say.
Greene attended Mesa Verde Elementary School. She was the only girl on the CDO baseball team – she loved the sport, as well as horseback riding and swimming.
Rest in peace little angel.

I’m not going through the blogs today. My heart is breaking for our nation. The news has been contradicting, to say the least. However, the fact that someone would shoot so many, killing 5, including a child, is beyond comprehension.
Please join me in praying for all those who have been affected. I’d have to say that would be all of us.

First she was confirmed dead, now she is not, but in critical condition. I’m getting extremely confused.
UPDATE 2: Congresswoman, 6 Others, Killed By Gunman
UPDATE: Reports from NPR saying the Congresswoman has died. No confirmation yet. Hospital says multiple fatalities. God have mercy on us all.
Arizona Congresswoman Shot at Public Event
Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot along with three of her aides by a gunman Saturday morning outside a grocery store in Tucson while holding a public event, Fox News has confirmed.
Twelve others were shot as well at Giffords’ first public event called “Your Corner.” The gunman is in custody.
Giffords was taken to a hospital but the condition of those shot was not immediately known, a senior congressional aide told Fox News.
Rep. Giffords is apparently well liked by her constituents. I pray for her, her family, and reportedly the other 11 who were shot.
Before all you leftards start blaming anyone, I suggest you get the facts first. I have already seen too many comments pointing fingers. The person who did this is obviously an extremely disturbed individual!

Illegals and Other Garbage
New Website to Draw Attention to Trash at Arizona-Mexico Border
A new website to draw attention to tons of trash discarded along the Arizona-Mexico border has been launched by state officials hoping to stem the flow of refuse left behind by illegal immigrants making their way into the United States.
The website, azbordertrash.gov, is also seeking volunteers to participate in cleanup efforts along Arizona’s 370-mile border with Mexico.
I have a better idea. Instead of asking legal residents to clean up after the garbage criminal aliens, how ’bout nabbing the SOBs and making THEM clean up their mess? Why are LEGAL taxpayers always having to foot the bill for these pigs?
The same types that whine about the poor pitiful ‘undocumented immigrants’ are the same yahoos who that want to destroy the economy with their “green” nonsense. They are not ‘undocumented’, they are illegal. They are not ‘immigrants’, they are criminals.
Speaking of criminals….aren’t we housing a great many said illegals in the jails and prisons? How about they earn their keep, and clean up the trash?

Most people have enough sense not to eat their fluoride toothpaste, so why did officials back when I was a young sprout decide that adding fluoride to the water was a good idea? Messing with nature is NEVER a good idea!

It’s really sad, and quite dangerous, that there are so many legislators who actually aid and abet CRIMINAL ACTIVITY! They are not ‘immigrants’. An immigrant comes through the front door, after knocking, and being invited in. They are ILLEGAL! As in BREAKING THE LAW!
Here’s a novel concept….how about letting your citizens protect themselves against criminals. I know it’s hard to believe for some folks, but it’s pretty much common knowledge, unless a criminal is completely stupid (which is typically why they are criminals in the first place…can’t make it in the real world), said bad guy doesn’t know who is packing, and who is not, they are less likely to randomly select their target for the criminal activity. Dead bad guys are much better than dead victims.

Taxes over freedom for Tea Party foe

A recent column, authored by one of Bill Clinton’s former speech writers (“Tea Party dangerous to Constitution”) is typical of the inaccurate charges and scaremonger tactics which our critics regularly employ to achieve what they cannot accomplish through civil discourse and reasoned arguments.
Michael Waldman would have you believe that our struggle for lower taxes is an un-American attack on the federal government’s power to tax our income. He implies that opposition to “anchor babies” (children of illegal aliens who are used to obtain immigration status for otherwise illegal family members) is racist because the 10th Amendment was originally instituted to protect the families of slaves.
For good measure, he also argues that our efforts to enforce states’ rights at a time when the federal government is exercising unprecedented control over virtually every aspect of our lives is somehow undemocratic. And he packages all of these silly arguments into feigned concern over what he claims are Tea Party attacks on the United States Constitution.

Today the Bureau of Labor and Statistics released its monthly jobs report showing that the U.S. economy added only 103,000 jobs this December. With the unemployment rate now at 9.4%, this marks the 20th month in a row that the unemployment has been over 9 percent, a post–World War II record. You are going to hear a lot of noise from the White House about how this drop from a 9.8% unemployment rate to 9.4% means the economy is in a strong recovery. This is false. The reality is that the only reason the unemployment rate dropped is because the U.S. labor force decreased by 434,000. More importantly 260,000 Americans dropped out of the labor force entirely. This means that the Obama economy is now driving Americans out of the labor force faster than it is bringing them.

Allen is NOT on a sex offender list. While he lost his teaching license over the incident, his charge was dropped to simple assault. I apologize for that error.

Texting that sparks improper contact plays role in downfall of more teachers
The top reason Tennessee educators lost their licenses to teach last year was having sex or other inappropriate contact with their students, and many were texting to strike up the relationships.
In one case, Campbell County teacher Derek W. Marlow, 27, bought a prepaid cell phone and gave it to a student at school. The two exchanged about 1,000 messages over two months, and his license was revoked for three years.
Three years? That’s it? The perv should never be allowed to teach again! Ever! Anywhere!
“Technology is making it easier to engage in inappropriate communication with students, and fewer educators are deliberate about how they conduct themselves because it’s easier to say something in a text message than in person,” Tennessee Board of Education attorney Rich Haglund said. “The number of cases where text messaging has facilitated inappropriate relationships has increased.”
What a load of horse manure! You can’t blame technology for the actions of a human being (and I use that term lightly here). The ‘if it feels good, do it’ mentality of the 60s and 70s have permeated every aspect of life, including the public schools. The lack of REAL punishment aids in letting these pervs believe they can get away with such behavior with nothing more than a slap on the hand. It also shows the level of immaturity of the teachers being churned out of the colleges.
The state licenses 70,000 teachers. The Office of Teacher Licensing is considering requiring new applicants and teacher who renew credentials to take online ethics training as in some other states, including Georgia. Louisiana passed a law in 2009 requiring teachers to copy and report to administrators when they text students.
Oh, that’s right…they don’t teach ethics in school anymore, do they. Once upon a time, it was a requirement for many professions, but you can tell by the LACK of ethical behavior in many areas, someone decided it wasn’t needed. And this is what you get! Teachers with NO ethics!
The effects can be devastating for teachers found guilty by judges or the state board.
“I can’t get a job anywhere; it ruined my life completely,” said Robert T. Allen, a Franklin County drama teacher stripped of his license last year by the board for “inappropriate contact” with a student.
In the real world, such predators would end up behind bars. Not ‘teachers’ though. Am I suppose to feel sorry for this ass? Ain’t gonna happen! “IT” didn’t ruin your life…..YOU DID! Try McDonald’s.

Geithner Urges Congress to Raise Debt Limit, Says Inaction Could Hurt Jobs
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner warned congressional leaders Thursday that the government could reach its borrowing limit by spring and failure to raise it could affect millions of American jobs.
NO MORE BORROWING! We can’t pay the bills, don’t freakin’ create them! I still would like to know why this …….person…..still has a job?
The government will reach the limit between March 31 and May 16, Geithner said in a letter to congressional leaders. Not increasing the $14.3 trillion debt limit could lead to job losses, he said.
Perhaps, businesses will feel more confident and begin hiring? Oh, I bet he’s talking about GUBMINT jobs. And THAT wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all!
Geithner warned that a failure to raise the debt limit would mean the government would not be able to make the payments on the current debt, which stands at $13.96 trillion.
You can NOT keep borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. Peter is going to want to get paid eventually, and when that happens, you’re screwed! It’s not that difficult to understand, but evidently, the Obama administration has serious issues. A total lack of common sense, IMHO!
“Even a very short-term or limited default would have catastrophic economic consequences that would last for decades,” Geithner said. “For these reasons, I am requesting that Congress act to increase the limit early this year, well before the threat of default becomes imminent.”
The damage done by these fools is going to have long term catastrophic consequences already. Why the blazes do they want to make it even worse? Well, because that’s what they do! Destroy! That’s what evil does…..destroys!
