An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

2/6 – 2/9

Starting on Sunday, 6 February, midnight, I will be closing my computer.  No blog.  No email.  No Facebook.  No Twitter.  Well, I don’t really do much on Twitter anymore, except tweet posts, so that’s not really an issue.

Yep, I will be stepping away from the contraption.  Why?  Well, it’s a choice.  A ‘fast’ from what tends to become an obsession now and then.  We ALL need to step away from the things that are not really all that important to our spiritual well being, and concentrate on those things that are the greater priorities!

For the moment, I have decided on a MINIMUM of 3 days, 72 hours.  That might extend a day or two, all depending on where I am at the that time.  But not to worry, odds are, I will return.  :D   Kind of hard to get rid of me.  Sort of like a bad penny.  Heh.  Or, perhaps, a mold that just keeps coming back?  :?

I can relate. My one guilty pleasure is being on Facebook. I twitter about once a week, check email 2-3 times a week, don’t have all the technologies that kids have these days, etc…
Enjoy your fast and come back refreshed!

Hope you have a peaceful time, however long it lasts.

    Peace.

(I’m thinking about the cartoon from a couple of weeks ago about a woman going on a carb-free diet.  Or the MSMer that was not going to mention Palin for a week, or a month, or something.  Hope you havew better luck.  But if you don’t, the next time don’t say anything until the end of the fast.  I did that when I quit smoking.  The down-side of _that_ is that I have no record of when I quit–which annoys the medicos no end.)\
    God bless…

Enjoy your sabbatical, but remember, information is artillery in the fight against the socialists, and we need all the ammo we can get!  Don’t be gone long.
