The Reagan Recovery vs The Obama Recovery
The Foundry

This Sunday is President Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday. It’s hard to comprehend the debt of gratitude our nation owes the 40th President of these United States. As Heritage Foundation Distinguished Fellow in Conservative Thought Lee Edwards details, Reagan embodied many of the classical virtues that the best political leaders possess: courage, prudence, justice, and wisdom. And he used each of these virtues to create an environment where the U.S. economy could strongly recover from our last great recession. The current occupant of the White House ought to take some better notes.

Critter Watch

Ever wonder what goes through critters minds? I do. Drives me nuts. We can’t figure the little buggers out, so why do we try?

While sitting here drinking my coffee, minding my own business, I happened to notice our 3 male, four legged children, all kinds of agitated, looking out the window.

After snapping this picture, all three of them took off like a shot into the office, to take up the same position in that window. I know, because I followed them. I looked out both windows, but for the life of me, could never figure out what had them so fixated. There were no birds in sight, no squirrels….not even a leaf blowing. So, it makes ya wonder….. What goes through their little cat brains?

SUCH A Funny Fellow!

Republicans wrote the political dictionary: It’s proof Democrats don’t control the media

It’s hard to know where to begin in dismantling the Republican canard that Democrats control the media. Fox News is the most popular 24-hour news network by a whoosh and a cachung. Rush Limbaugh is the most powerful radio host, and lots of little Limbaughs line up behind him. Sarah Palin is the biggest media-political crossover star. And in an increasingly fragmented Internet, the Drudge Report continues to drives more political traffic than any other website. In italics and bold, to boot.

Where to begin?  Let’s see….ONE cable news channel as opposed to 2, plus the network alphabets.  Uh huh.  Got it.  Now, I will admit, there are a lot more conservative talkers out there on the radio.  Why?  Well, because liberal talk show hosts actually suck.  They are all emotion, and no fact.  So they fail.  Miserably.  And what business person would want to advertise on a radio show that totally blows?  I mean….seriously!  Well, unless of course if they don’t actually want anyone hearing their commercials, I suppose.  As for the internet….has this guy actually LOOKED at all the left wing sites?  There are more and more every day!  That would include the websites from the aforementioned 2 cable stations and the alphabets.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I see the results of a poll asking every day folks what they think, even if it isn’t ‘scientific’, I’d say that, yes, it does speak to the leanings of the media that even a four year can figure out.

I have no problem with my church members carrying guns.  If you do, then perhaps you should find a different church, cuz apparently, you have a trust issue.   Should all of them?  Well, probably not.  There are a few little ones that might have a problem, and a couple of elderly folks who aren’t physically able, but as for everyone else?  I can’t think of a one I don’t trust.

Just one more glaring example of how incompetent the Obama administration really is!  We see it daily with Napolitano, Joe Biden, etc.  Why should one more extreme embarrassment for the country be so surprising?

What a novel concept!  Actually keeping competent teachers, and tossing out the feckless, no matter how much time and money they’ve handed over to their union.  Gosh!  Maybe it’ll catch on?  One can only hope!

Honestly, I think there are some who have unrealistic expectations.  If you want to knock down a 100 mile long wall, you have to start with the first stone.  Expecting half the wall to come down immediately, is a tad unreasonable.  The same applies to the deficit, and spending.  Congress never bothered to pass a budget.  Almost half the fiscal year is gone.  Now, while I’d like to see them cut all $100billion, it’s not exactly rational.  HOWEVER, once this fiscal year is up, I expect them to cut the rest, plus another $100billion out of next years budget.  :D

It’s the Chicago Way.

I remember the uproar from many years ago when everybody thought adding flouride to eh water was a real bad idea, but no one listened.  Evidently, they should have!  As the lady said…there’s that warning on the toothpaste tube….ya just don’t eat/drink poison!  DUH!

For anyone who has ever watched someone suffer from the effects of cancer treatments, the idea of medical marijuana is a pretty good one. The problem with California, they have gone overboard, as is their norm. How many of those people walking into those pot shops are actually medical patients in NEED of a way to reduce the vomiting from the effects of medical procedures? Likely, less than half. I don’t think I’d trust a doctor who prescribes pot for depression, or a backache, or any number of things. That being said, if the federal government wants to increase their income, they should find a way to make REAL marijuana available to those who REALLY need it.

Exactly which ‘foreigners’ are to blame exactly?

Honestly, I really like Marsha Blackburn.  I think she’s doing a fine job up there in D.C. and is sticking to conservative principles as much as possible.  HOWEVER, this article brings to light something I see as a major problem.  Money.  Why is she fund raising?  Why are any of our so called reps ALWAYS fund raising?  They are suppose to go to D.C., represent the PEOPLE, do their job WE tell them to do, then go home.  The thing that bugs me, and a lot of other people, if I’m not mistaken, is that all these politicians spend so much time on the campaign trail, they tend to forget why they were hired in the first place.  Not saying Marsha has forgotten, just saying it’s a common theme.

I’m afraid Mr Obama has a fairly skewed view of what churches would be actually capable of achieving, if only the government would get OUT of their business!

There is no doubt in my mind the Islamists have been working behind the scenes since BEFORE all this started.  We’re already seeing a domino effect.  How much longer before even more ‘dominos’ join in?

Who comes up with these utterly ridiculous ideas during a time of war?  And make NO mistake….we ARE at war!  I don’t mean just in Iraq and Afghanistan either!  The LAST thing we should be doing is reducing troop size!

Other than the essentials….like defense, for example, I wouldn’t mind seeing a shut down.  Send those yahoos home.  This was never meant to be a full time career, nor was the federal government created to run the entire country.  Yep.  Go home.  Talk to those folks back home, and see what THEY say about the job y’all are doing in the Senate. Ask ‘em how they feel about how much of their money y’all have been squandering!  And this time….actually LISTEN!  Not with padded ‘townhalls’, but REAL people, from YOUR district…not the bussed in bozos from your favorite unions!

Nine years?  That’s it?  Why isn’t the SOB being stood up against the wall and shot?  Nine years is nothing for these types….aka crazy people!

This could be a real interesting development for the new country of South Sudan.  What do you do with so many people ‘going home’?  Hopefully, it will be a peaceful transition for all involved.

As least a couple of folks are wise enough to state that one country should stay out of the business of another country, especially when they have their own ‘oppressors’ to deal with.

Accessory To Murder?

3 February 2011, 8:36 pm. Comments Off. Filed under U.S. Military, War on Terror.

Senate Report: Pentagon, FBI Failed to Protect Troops at Ft. Hood

A Senate report says U.S. officials should have recognized that an Army major was a “ticking time bomb” before he went on a shooting spree that killed 13 people at a Texas military base in 2009.

The report is sharply critical of the FBI, saying that top leaders must exercise more control over local field offices who failed to recognize warning signs that suggested the shooter was a threat.

The report concluded that both the Defense Department and the FBI had sufficient information to detect that Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan had been radicalized to violent Islamist extremism, but they failed to understand and act on it. And it said the FBI must learn to better use its intelligence analysts, who might have been able to better connect the dots.

14 murdered. More than 30 injured. How many people are STILL sleeping at the switch in the FBI???  The Defense Department???  The administration????  How many other reports of extremists are being ignored? How many more will be slaughtered because no one will recognize the danger of Islam?? When are we going to say ENOUGH?

NOT Equal!

‘Chrislam’ in Protestant churches

A Protestant renewal organization is concerned about the recent efforts of some mainline Protestant churches to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam.

According to a recent blog post from The Last Crusade, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, along with other congregations in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit, preached sermons and held Sunday school lessons on the founder of Islam, Mohammad, whom Muslims consider a prophet. Qurans were also placed in the pews next to Bibles.

Proponents of the movement, which has been dubbed “Chrislam,” claim that Christians cannot love their neighbors without having a relationship with them.

Interesting.  So called Christian preachers putting a cult of hate and murder right next to The Book that promotes peace, love and obedience to God.  You’ll have to excuse my incredulity.  This would be the same people who have slaughtered millions upon millions in the name of their so called prophet.  Somewhere in the vicinity of 270 MILLION in 14 centuries, if my eyes are reading that right.  That number grows daily.

2011.02.02 (Peshawar, Pakistan) – Women and children are among a dozen innocents slain when Sunnis set off a bomb at a crowded market.
2011.02.02 (Chegem, Russia) – Islamic radicals burst into a cafe and gun down four traffic cops in cold blood.
2011.02.01 (Kharan, Pakistan) – Militants fire on an oil tanker, killing a driver and helper.
2011.02.01 (Yala, Thailand) – Two Buddhist children, ages 7 and 15, are kidnapped and shot to death by Religion of Peace ‘separatists’.
2011.02.01 (Maiduguri, Nigeria) – Islamic gunmen murder a police officer and critically injure his young daughter.
2011.01.31 (Shariatpur, Bangladesh) – A 14-year-old girl is lashed to death on the orders of a Sharia council. Her “crime” was having been raped by a 40-year-old married man.  (source)

These are just in the last 3 days. I’ve no doubt there are even more we haven’t heard about yet. Like the 11 Copts that were murdered in Egypt. Why? Because they were Copts.

So, excuse me if I have a major problem with a church trying to equate Islam with Christianity. If preachers want to teach about Islam, they need to make sure they’ve got ALL the facts, and warn their congregations about believing the lies that the media and many politicians spew about how this is a ‘religion of peace’. There is no peace in hatred. You are not Muslim, or the right kind of Muslim, they hate you, and will see you dead!

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. (9:29)

DefinitionThe term “People of the Book” in the Qur’an refers to followers of monotheistic Abrahamic religions that are older than Islam. This includes all Christians, all Jews (including Karaites and Samaritans), and Sabians.

The preachers might want to re-read, or perhaps read for the first time…..2 Thessalonians 2.  Do not be deceived, even by your own pastors.

The Obamacare Assault on the Rule of Law
The Foundry

Mere hours after senior federal Judge Roger Vinson, a United States Naval Academy graduate, became the second federal judge to find Obamacare’s Section 1501 (the individual mandate) unconstitutional, an anonymous White House official called in to question Judge Vinson’s entire ruling, telling reporters, “There’s something thoroughly odd and unconventional about the analysis.” The only thing “odd and unconventional” here is that a White House official felt it imperative to undermine the legitimacy of a coequal branch of government. Unfortunately this incident just fits into a larger pattern of behavior that calls into question just how far this Administration will bend the rule of law to protect President Barack Obama’s signature accomplishment: Obamacare.

Now, I don’t know about you, but of the many TEA Party events I have attended, not once did I ever hear the call to lynch anybody! Impeach, vote out, etc., yes. Do bodily harm? No. But here we have a large number of “progressives” calling for the death of a Supreme Court Justice. So, you tell me….just who is that is full of vitriol? Uh huh. That’s what I thought. These people prove our point, but will the lame stream notice? Of course not! And oh…by the way….that comment about sending him back to the fields…..wouldn’t THAT be racist?

U.N. to Evacuate Staff From Egypt

Some 350 people working for the United Nations in Egypt will be evacuated to Cyprus because of security concerns in the country, a spokesman for the U.N. peacekeeping mission on the Mediterranean island said Thursday.

Yep. Doing what they are so well known for doing. Cutting and running. Either they are part of the bigger problem, think Congo, or they are the most useless body on the entire planet, think Rwanda.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I saw this escalating to what could be called a ‘war’ last week.  Might I ask why the U.S. government weren’t aware of the potential dangers for U.S. citizens?  Why did they wait until yesterday to put out the call to get the hell outta Dodge?  Were they not paying attention?  Or were they so busy worrying how Obama should handle his image in all this to even think about those who might be caught in the middle?

$5,000,000 Lawsuit

2 February 2011, 9:15 pm. 2 Comments. Filed under Crime.

Jimmy Carter being sued for alleged falsehoods

The plaintiffs are Americans, with two of the five holding dual American-Israeli citizenship.

The suit alleges that the five plaintiffs in the suit who purchased Carter’s book, as well as others, assumed they were buying an accurate record of historic events relating to Israel and the Palestinians.

By claiming to be a Middle East expert, the suit claims, Carter and, by extension, his publisher, intentionally presented inaccurate information that was highly critical of Israel and therefore violated a New York law that makes it illegal to “engage in deceptive acts in the course of conducting business.”

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!

What Liberals Don’t Know About Guns, Chapter 217
by Ann Coulter

Fresh off of blaming Jared Loughner’s killing spree in the Tucson mall on Sarah Palin, liberals are now blaming it on high-capacity magazines. They might as well imprison everyone named “Jared” to prevent a crime like this from ever happening again.

During the presidential campaign, Obama said: “I don’t know of any self-respecting hunter that needs 19 rounds of anything. You don’t shoot 19 rounds at a deer, and if you do, you shouldn’t be hunting.” It would have been more accurate for him to end that sentence after the word “hunter.”

It’s so adorable when people who wouldn’t know a high-capacity magazine from Vanity Fair start telling gun owners what they should want and need.

Killing the Country, One Regulation At A Time

Obama, Not Egypt, is Biggest Threat to U.S. Energy Prices
The Foundry

Last Friday on a conference call with reporters about the Obama Administration’s long-term energy proposals, Energy Secretary Steven Chu responded to a question about the situation in Egypt, saying: “Certainly any disruption in the Middle East means a partial disruption in the oil we import. It’s a world market and [a disruption] could actually have real harm of the price. The best way America can protect itself against these incidents is to decrease our dependency on foreign oil, in fact to diversify our supply.” This is a nice sentiment. Unfortunately, everything the Obama Administration is doing is only increasing our dependence on foreign sources of oil.

Secretary Chu is right: Oil does sell on a world market. But transportation and other distribution factors do segment oil markets somewhat. In fact, the United States is currently paying about $10 less for a barrel of oil than European and Asian nations are. Why? Because of U.S. access to oil refined from Canadian oil sands. Access to these vast natural resources is a great diversification of our oil supply. But now the Obama Administration is trying to make it harder for American consumers to get Canadian oil. The Obama Environmental Protection Agency is stonewalling approval for the Keystone pipeline, which would increase the amount of oil the U.S. receives from Canada by over a million barrels per day. And that is not the only oil the Obama Administration is trying to keep out of American consumers’ hands.

Seriously, did anyone really expect the Obama administration to actually COOPERATE?   Pfft!  Bunch of lying phonies from day one!

“Don’t like” aren’t really strong enough words.  Most Americans actually LOATHE the tax and control insurance bill, which has NOTHING to do with health care.  Democrats in the Senate would do well to actually LISTEN to their bosses, WE, The People!

Speculating that people will actually buy so many of those inefficient death traps is actually pushing it!  We don’t like them, we don’t want them, and it would be REAL nice if the administration would stop shoveling the ca ca de toro down our throats!  Contrary to what Washington believes, we really are NOT that stupid!

Kind of like the ‘broken window’ policy, eh?  Well, if it works….EXCELLENT!  And an FYI to the ‘rights’ groups?  Criminals don’t have a lot of rights.  Y’all might want to remember that!

I guess the Egyptians don’t consider publicly threatening the life of the president, even if he is a slime ball, as a crime either.  Who do they think he is…..Bush?

This is just creepy.

Perhaps we got lucky, and these pigs chickened out?  Likely, things didn’t quite go according to their plan, and we dodged another mass murder from the animals.  I wish someone would tell me why we keep letting such….people in the country, almost 10 years later?  How many are sitting in our country right this minute, planning similar attacks on us?

Wait a minute.  I thought excessively liberal California had all the answers, and were insistent on sharing their ‘values’ with the rest of us, so we can be just like them.  A regular ‘workers paradise’, where all the children are healthy, happy, and well educated.  Hmmm…..

Oh, I don’t bloody well think so!  Those animals need to pay their own legal fees!  The taxpayers need to file a law suit against them!  If they can’t do the job they are paid to do, and allow the murder of the innocent to continue, then THEY are responsible, NOT the taxpayers!

Gosh.  What a shocker!  A Kennedy staffer a thief. I guess if your work with criminals long enough, you learn how to be one as well.

No doubt, the Wisconsin libtards are having hissy fits!

BRAVO! The voters had have little effect on this arrogant Democrat, why should their opinion matter now?  Way to go Nevada, for keeping that feckless weasel in power.  Y’all should be REAL proud.  /snark

Gosh! ANOTHER shocker!  Iran sure does want that caliphate, eh?  And it appears that Obama will just skirt around the issue.  I guess he doesn’t realize if that happens, we are TOAST.  Or, is that what he’s really after?  Hmm…  I’ve yet to understand the connection between the commies and Islamonazis.  Are the commies not aware, they will be the first to go….WHACK!

I think we should all spare a few minutes to say prayers for our brothers and sisters down under.  Looks like they are in for a real bad time!

Just how ignorant is this man/child?  The LAST thing he should be doing is cutting off the country at its knees to placate another country who have been backing those who would destroy us!  Perhaps that really IS his agenda?  To completely, and utterly destroy a once great nation.  In that case, he isn’t ignorant….just plain EVIL!

I don’t think “normal” is what these people are looking for with their actions, and odds are, it won’t ever be that way again for them.  It looks more like anarchy.  Lots of destruction to private property, attacking those who disagree, and generally making life miserable for those caught in the middle.

It’s a private company.  It can do what it likes, and if they believe having strong families is a way for them to help their employees, what business is it of the pro-gay activists?  When they get their own private business, they can aid their employees as they see fit.  Until then, STHU!  I happen to like Chic-fil-A.  I like that they close on Sunday, as should most businesses.  (Well, actually it SHOULD be Saturday, but I won’t quibble about that!)

“More scary from the outside, than the inside”?  The woman is a blithering idiot!  I’d say being punched in the head, and watching rocks fly close by is pretty flippin’ scary!  Now that they have the internet back, we’ll probably see a LOT of YouTube videos cropping up from the “inside”.
