An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Coffee & Chicory
That’s just down right creepy!
Since home schooling parents pay taxes that support the public schools, just like everyone else, why shouldn’t their kids be included in the extra curricular stuff, like sports?
Facebook users calling for murder. Guess who. Shocker, eh?
Isn’t it amazing that the very ones who protest the loudest about nuclear power plants are also the ones shouting for alternative energy?
Are there actually people who believe that Islamic rule, by Al-Qaida would be an improvement over Gadhafi?
Days are going to be shorter? 1.8 seconds to be precise. Will we even notice?
After all the complaints of U.S. bases in Japan, I wonder if those who did the complaining are happy there are U.S. military personal around to help?

Does the Alaska legislature really think they can stop the TSA’s groping of citizens? It would be nice, but since Congress doesn’t seem to have a say in the matter, I don’t think Big Sis and the DHS cares how much they violate our rights.

Since 1998, I have been working with groups of Christian homeschoolers. I offer specific subjects such as Advanced Composition, Spanish, Latin, and English Literature.
Some of these students have tried attending public school classes and functions on a limited basis and have been appalled at the coarse language and unacceptable behaviors evinced by the public school students (not to mention some of the low-level academics offered in the public classes). As a result, most of my homeschoolers have ceased enrolling in those classes and activities in public schools.
Can’t say as I blame them! The difference between home schooled and public schooled is like night and day! LOVE home schooled kids. I don’t feel the need to smack the snot out of ‘em. On the other hand….
