Anti-leadership amid world crises
Where is the president? The world is beset. Moammar Khadafy is moving relentlessly to crush the Libyan revolt that once promised the overthrow of one of the world’s most despicable regimes.
So where is the president?
Japan may be on the verge of a disaster that dwarfs any we have yet seen. A self-governing nation like the United States needs its leader to take full measure of his position at times of crises when the path forward is no longer clear.
This is not a time for leadership; this is the time for leadership.
So where is Barack Obama?

Yep….while the world is coming apart, disasters piling up, natural and man made, where is our illustrious so called president? Why….he’s doing what he always does! He’s out playing the fiddle while Rome burns, of course. It’s golf, or traveling to far off places, spending a whole lot of money that doesn’t belong to him, or just plain ignoring the world around him. It’s quite obvious to any thinking person this guy has NO business being in the oval office. He is either totally incompetent, and makes Jimmy Carter look good, or he’s just plain evil, and his purpose is to completely destroy the country. Apparently, if something is not on his socialist agenda, he just doesn’t give a damn.
Not only does he NOT deserve a second term, he does NOT deserve to finish the first one! He’s done enough damage in a little over two years, it will take decades to recover!

Labor backers arrested at Tenn. Capitol protest
Troopers have forcibly carried out seven union supporters from the Tennessee Capitol after their protest disrupted a Senate committee hearing.
The seven were among those who stood up during a committee hearing Tuesday and began chants about “union busting” by the Legislature.
Most demonstrators left the hearing room after a half-hour, but a small group tried to lock arms to keep from being removed. Troopers pulled the holdouts out of the room one by one, while lawmakers, lobbyists and other observers looked on. The protesters were arrested and face charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Unlike Wisconsin, the police KNOW what their job is in Tennessee.

Germany Shuts Down Seven Nuclear Reactors
Chancellor Angela Merkel says Germany will take seven of its 17 reactors offline for three months while the country reconsiders plans to extend the life of its nuclear power plants.
Merkel said Tuesday that Germany will temporarily shut down reactors that went into operation before the end of 1980, affecting seven reactors. The decision comes amid fears sparked by the crisis under way at Japan’s tsunami-stricken nuclear power plant.
This is total insanity! Germany is NOT Japan. Japan has frequent earthquakes. Germany does not.

Did you know that it is Education Month in the Obama White House? Neither did we. But apparently it is, and accordingly the President crossed the Potomac yesterday to visit an elementary school in Arlington, Virginia, where he pushed for reauthorization of the unpopular No Child Left Behind (NCLB) program. It was a classic President Obama performance. First he denounced the “stale debates” over whether education needed “more money” or “more reform.” Then—surprise—he said what the country really needed was both: “We need more resources for the schools, but we’ve got to reorganize how our schools are doing business in order to assure success for our young people. … Let’s seize this education moment. Let’s fix No Child Left Behind.” No, let’s not.
Serious Question
Granted, I haven’t been posting much recently, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been paying attention. Through all the mess in Wisconsin, and several other states, I had one major question. Why do unions consider themselves the only “workers”. Do they believe you have be a member of a union to be considered the ‘working middle class’? How the heck did that happen? Considering that union members are a minority in this country, and there are a hell of a lot of people who get up every morning and go to work. Are those people not considered workers?
If you look at some of those signs the union thugs were carrying, you would sure thing so. But then, who are the REAL workers? The ones that truly make this country run? Would it be the guy that works for a half an hour, then spends the rest of the day drinking coffee and scratching his butt, yet can’t get fired? Or, would it be the one who clocks in, and actually does the job he’s paid to do, for 8 or 10 hours, with a couple of breaks in between. Is the real worker the one who gets paid for trashing a state capital, threatening the lives of elected legislators, demanding to be coddled till the day they die, or is it the person who will show up at their job, do what they are paid to do, pay their own bills, including health care and saving for their own retirement.
Well, I can tell you who I consider the true “workers” in this country, and it ain’t the foul mouthed union thugs.

Since home schooling parents pay taxes that support the public schools, just like everyone else, why shouldn’t their kids be included in the extra curricular stuff, like sports?

Isn’t it amazing that the very ones who protest the loudest about nuclear power plants are also the ones shouting for alternative energy?
Are there actually people who believe that Islamic rule, by Al-Qaida would be an improvement over Gadhafi?

After all the complaints of U.S. bases in Japan, I wonder if those who did the complaining are happy there are U.S. military personal around to help?
Either Mr Rodriguez is willfully ignorant, or he’s on the wrong side, by choice.
If true, that would be pretty cool.
Since when to Mexican kidnap victims turn up safe and sound with family? Seems rather odd.

If the Arab League wants a ‘no-fly’ zone, why don’t THEY impose one? I’m fairly sure they have a few planes and weapons over there that could do the trick.
I sure hope these people are wrong about such an aftershock.
Does the Alaska legislature really think they can stop the TSA’s groping of citizens? It would be nice, but since Congress doesn’t seem to have a say in the matter, I don’t think Big Sis and the DHS cares how much they violate our rights.

Nashville doctor again loses license
Visuvalingam Vilvarajah challenged a Davidson County Chancery Court ruling backing the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners’ decision to pull his license. The state’s Court of Appeals released its decision Thursday, affirming a Davidson County chancellor’s ruling that the state was within its authority to suspend Vilvarajah’s medical license.
After being arrested in an investigation into trafficking of Oxycontin and other drugs, he was convicted in Kentucky in January 2010 on one count of facilitation to traffic in controlled substances. Vilvarajah formerly lost his Tennessee medical license in 1989 after shooting and killing his wife and mother-in-law in Germantown, a Memphis suburb. The state restored his right to practice medicine four years later.
So, if he murdered his wife and mother in law, why the blazes was he not in prison? Why was his license reinstated four years after the crime? Who’s running that popstand anyways? Logic would say this guy wasn’t playing with a full deck, and they let him practice medicine? Seriously?

Walker Signs Bill Stripping Unions of Collective Bargaining Rights
Gov. Scott Walker signed a bill Friday that takes away most collective bargaining for state employees on Friday.
The state Assembly passed the bill Thursday after the Senate approved it Wednesday without 14 AWOL Democrats. The vote in the Senate followed more than three weeks of dramatic protests that clogged the streets, hallways and meeting rooms of the Capitol.
Walker has notified public employee unions that he’s rescinding notices he sent last week that could have resulted in 1,500 layoffs. Walker said the layoffs would not be necessary since the bill, which includes $30 million in concessions from state employees, had passed.
Now get your slacker asses back to work, and actually EARN the income you are generously receiving from the taxpayers!

It’s way past time to stop giving taxpayer money to these weasels. They get money from foundations, private donations, fund raisers, etc. Why should MY money support an organization I wouldn’t give to privately?
Jesus said “….go, and sin no more”. Well, the idea that Jesus would have sought out sinners is correct, but I seriously doubt He would consider continuing the sinful lifestyle to be acceptable. You are either a Bible based church, or you are not. Way too many are not.
I sure wish Governor Walker would hurry up and sign that bill! Those over sized, spoiled children obviously have no respect for those who pay their salaries.
A ‘national law’ will do absolutely nothing to stop kids from bullying each other. Should they? Of course not! But it’s not the government’s job to raise children. That task belongs to the parents, and should be left to them. If parents are so incompetent they can’t teach their children right from wrong, then we have a HUGE problem in this country. It’s obvious we already have a gigantic problem with the so called public educators.
Putting food in your gas tank for less gas mileage has NEVER made a bit of sense!
