Man/Child’s Playtime
According to statistics compiled by CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, who keeps close tabs on the president’s activities, Mr Obama played 28 rounds in 2009, 30 rounds in 2010, and two this year.
It is far more than his predecessor George W Bush managed in his entire presidency.
However:
Mr Bush announced he was giving up golf in 2003 because of the war in Iraq, explaining, ‘I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.’
Obviously, Obama doesn’t give a flying how his extra curricular activities strikes the public in general. He is, after all, Teh ONE, and he can do what he damn well pleases. Should we add up all the parties, and vacations too? Just how often does he actually behave like the leader of the ‘free world’? I would have to answer that with a big fat…..NEVER! Not once has he ever appeared to be a leader of even a Boy Scout troop.
While I don’t begrudge a president having a little down time now and then, it would be nice if we had a president who had a little ‘up time’ now and then. I guess his behavior is an indication of what he’s up to while he SHOULD dealing with world crisis’, out of control spending, gas prices going through the roof, and the price of everything following along. After all, making your own micro brew and playing golf is a lot more fun that dealing with reality, isn’t it.

I wonder, just as a precautionary measure, if these young athletes should undergo some kind of heart tests before they play sports. Apparently, these kinds of deaths seem to be related to ‘undiagnosed’ heart conditions. Rest in peace young fella. Prayers with family and friends.
Why would an American port turn over operations to foreign companies?
What could there be to talk about? Islam and the U.S. Constitution do NOT mesh. These people want to replace our laws with theirs. That is a big NO NO! Grow a pair people!
I’m curious. Why doesn’t the military disband those who are associated with torture, and form a new security/police force? With the unemployment rate so high, I’m fairly sure there would be quite a few young men who would be happy to have a job protecting their families, friends and neighbors. It wouldn’t have to be a permanent thing, but kind of like a neighborhood patrol. Just wondering.
What a novel concept! Lowering taxes, removing restrictions….all to get a country back in the manufacturing business and put people to work.
Is it any wonder why California is sinking under a sea of red ink?
“Don’t call her a bad mom“??? Seriously? I don’t know of any ‘good moms’ that beat their children then roast them in the oven! Does Mississippi have the death penalty?
Wouldn’t the death penalty make this pig a “martyr”? How about a little target practice before sending him off to his so called paradise?
It is way past time for D’Bama to remove his head from his hinder, and open up the thousands of acres, on and off shore, for drilling.
While I take no joy in the suffering of anyone, I find myself questioning just why more Western blood should be offered. Where are the Muslim countries who should be offering aid? You just don’t see it happening, do you. Just who is being evacuated, and to where?
Gee. Another novel concept. Speak the language! Who’da thunk it!
If ya don’t like Western culture, don’t invade Western countries.
It’s no secret I’m not too fond of ILLEGAL immigrants, but even I find the shackling of a victim a bit too much.

Yesterday, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar testified before the House Natural Resources Committee on the Department of the Interior’s Fiscal Year 2012 Budget proposal. When pressed by Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) about the de facto offshore drilling moratorium the Obama Administration has inflicted on his district, Sec. Salazar responded: “When you look at the production within the Gulf of Mexico, even in the midst of the national crisis of the Deepwater Horizon, the production has remained at an all-time high.” This is an audaciously out of touch statement. According to the Energy Information Administration, the Obama offshore drilling moratorium will cause a 13-percent fall in domestic offshore oil production this year, which translates to a loss of about 220,000 barrels of oil a day. That means lower GDP growth for the nation, higher gas prices for all Americans, lower tax revenues for the federal government, and most importantly, fewer jobs for Americans living in the Gulf region.

Judge orders removal, better access by Monday
With a final group hug and a rousing rendition of “Solidarity Forever,” the last large group of demonstrators left the state Capitol Thursday night, hours after a judge ordered their removal.
The more than two-week occupation ended peacefully, as Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs gently prodded and patiently waited for around 50 of the last holdout protesters to file out of the rotunda.
“We have to get back to normalcy,” Tubbs said. “I’m asking you tonight to please leave.”
At 9:58 p.m., about an hour after the main group left, the last five protesters exited the building. No arrests were reported.
“This proved the people are right and the governor is wrong,” said Jeff Fox, 53, of Minong.
How the blazes does their actions prove the governor is wrong? What it proves is that union thugs don’t give a damn about their employers, you know…. the people who actually pay their salaries, or about the kids they are always whining about when demanding more and more money. It also proves they don’t give a flying flip about a beautiful building that is owned by ALL the people of Wisconsin, not just the thugs. And just how many of those stinking up the capital were actually FROM Wisconsin? If those camping out in the Rotunda were Wisconsin union members, THEY should be the first to get their pink slips! Obviously, they weren’t doing the jobs they were hired to do!
Needless to say, I have NO respect for these thugs, and no sympathy, whatsoever! Millions have lost their jobs, yet instead of rallying together as a nation, these feckless weasels want to suck more and more from the pockets of those who are still hanging onto theirs. I really wonder if these fools have any idea how they are being played by their so called leadership?

How Obama Is Making Gas Prices Higher

Yesterday, for the first time since September 2008, the price of a barrel of crude oil topped $100 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. But while the recent unrest in the Middle East has had some marginal effect on rising prices, the most significant factor has been increased oil demand worldwide. That is why, long before the recent protests even began, analysts were predicting $4 a gallon by this summer and $5 a gallon by 2012. Anyone could have predicted that the recovering world economy, coupled with the continued growth of India and China, was going to push oil prices higher. So if an Administration wanted to keep gas prices down, they could have mitigated increased oil demand by increasing domestic oil production. But that is not what the Obama Administration has done. Instead of increasing domestic oil supplies, the Obama Administration has cut them at every opportunity, and Americans are now suffering because of those choices.
Bird Watching
That bird sat there for a good 30 minutes, and the cats sat right there staring at it. I seriously doubt they’d know what to do with it if they got a hold of it. The bird finally flew off (after leaving a birdy gift, of course), and I’ll be darned if those cats didn’t try to follow it…..through the window! Heh. Silly critters.
Blog Stuff
I’ve been having a bit of trouble recently, trying to find and post on things of interest. There is a lot going on in the world right now, so it shouldn’t be that difficult, should it? Well, there is a lot going on right here in this house in Podunk now too, and has been for the last few months. That has become my #1 priority, because family comes first. So, if I seem a bit out of focus, it’s because……I am. Having a nasty case of bronchitis the last couple of weeks hasn’t helped much either, but that will eventually go away. At least I hope so. 
But that’s just a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.
I’m hoping that, in the not too distant future, all will be well, and I can get back to ‘normal’…..whatever normal is for me. In the meantime, actual opinions might be kind of light around here, as you’ve probably already noticed.

As Obama rakes in historic campaign contributions from Wall Street money, liberals claim Republicans are beholden to “the rich.” However that may be, it is far more true, and far less remarked upon, that the Democratic Party is the party of public sector unions.
And now, the nation watches helplessly as public sector unions and their Democratic allies say to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Nice state you got there, governor. Be a shame if something bad happened to it.
For Democrats, the purpose of government is to generously provide jobs for people who otherwise couldn’t be hired — because their skills, attitude or sense of entitlement are considered undesirable in the private sector. And no, I’m not just talking about Barack Obama.

The Islamic Demolition of the Statue of Liberty
In Islam, the public veneration of idols and statues is strictly prohibited. This has forced sincere Muslims to develop realistic plans that will aid in the removal of the Statue of Liberty.
Due to the scale of the task at hand, it is highly likely that rigorous safety checks will need to be employed before the demolition of the Statue of Liberty can commence; thus as a temporary measure, it is proposed that a large burkha is used to cover the statue, thereby shielding this horrendous eye sore from public view as well as sending a strong message to its French creators.
Post demolition, it is recommended that a minaret be built as a fitting replacement, allowing the glorification of God to be proclaimed daily as well as act as a powerful reminder of the superiority of Islam over all other ways of life.
I don’t f’ing think so! Take your low life, scum sucking selves right on back under the rocks from which you came! You are no longer welcome!!!
Thugs and Other Animals
Silencing the press? Is that what these leftards really want to do? I’m going to take a wild stab and say none of them have ever watched Fox’s coverage of ANYTHING. They don’t want ‘fair and balanced’. What they want is only one side of the story told…..THEIR side. Only THEIR VIEW can be reported, no matter that the facts don’t add up. Where are the police? And why aren’t they protecting the media from these thugs? Why aren’t they defending this guy’s 1st Amendment rights?
Once again, the lefty>socialists show their true colors. The mob mentality! Once again, I ask, where are the police? Why are they not protecting Glenn, an elected official, from these thugs?
I normally have a great deal of respect for law enforcement. However, under these circumstances, my respect for the Madison police has dwindled. Would we really be able to trust them to protect the public? Or are they only concerned with the union thugs?
